I really don't follow American Idol but have been recently as this kid is from Mount Prospect, the next township over, and tomorrow, Friday, they're having one of these local party's / concerts I guess which you see on the show when the people win or advance ....and is taking place at the down the street and world renowned Arlington Race track.
This thing sold out in a couple hours and will involve a day long celebration and thousands of local's who all of a sudden become this talented man's best friends. That is, right up until he either gets knocked out or wins and then forgets REAL QUICK were he comes from....lol..

After Wednesday's "American Idol" vote, Lee DeWyze is officially one of the top three contestants, which means on Friday, his hometown will be hosting a daylong celebration and thousands of DeWyze fans.
After Ryan Seacrest announced he made the cut, DeWyze crossed the Idol stage, hugged his parents, Lee Sr. and Kathy and whispered "I love you guys."
Casey James and Crystal Bowersox join DeWyze in the top three and will get hometown parades of their own Friday. James, 27, will head home to Fort Worth, Texas while Bowersox, 24, will fly off to Ellison, Ohio.
Michael "Big Mike" Lynche isn't as lucky. Although the judges used their only save to rescue the soulful 26-year-old personal trainer and father from Queens, N.Y., in April, he was voted off the show Wednesday night.
Before the results were announced, Seacrest asked the final four what they thought after watching footage of past hometown celebrations, which include parades and throngs of screaming fans.

Reveling in its first conference championship in 26 years, the Highland Park High School girls varsity basketball team has been selling cookies for months to raise funds for a tournament in Arizona. But those hoop dreams were dashed when players learned they couldn't go because of that state's new crackdown on illegal immigrants.
Safety concerns partly fueled the decision, but the trip also "would not be aligned with our beliefs and values," said District 113 Assistant Superintendent Suzan Hebson. That explanation, though, smacks of political protest to parents upset by the decision.
The news, which was broken to the team Monday by coach Jolie Bechtel, comes as critics of Arizona's controversial law call on professional athletes and others to boycott the state.
Last month a New York congressman asked Major League Baseball to pull next year's All-Star Game from Phoenix, and protesters recently picketed Wrigley Field when the Arizona Diamondbacks played the Cubs.
But tossing a high school team into the heated debate has left parents and players baffled and angry.
"Why are we mixing politics and a basketball tournament?" said Michael Evans, whose daughter Lauren is a junior on the team. "It's outrageous that they're doing this under the guise of safety."
Lauren Evans said she thought the concern was probably that one of the players could get stopped and questioned.

Former U.S. Marine Charles Clements, 69, is accused of shooting a neighbor whose puppy urinated on his award-winning grass, reports the Chicago Tribune.
Joshua Funches, 23, walked his fox terrier on Laundau Road on Sunday night. As he passed Clements' residence, the dog lifted its leg and relieved itself, witnesses said.
Having repeatedly earned University Park's lawn upkeep award, Clements often verbally harassed anyone who stepped near or on his precious grass, neighbors say.
In today's society that treats dogs better than it treats the unborn, who are murdered every second of the day across this country thanks to the practice of abortion, it's no wonder there's no value of life in America today.

to the new law in Arizona, a move state Democrats say would be a

Rep. Debbie Riddle of Tomball said
she will push for the law in the January legislative session, according
to Wednesday's editions of the San Antonio Express-News and Houston
Chronicle.
'The first priority for any elected
official is to make sure that the safety and security of Texans is
well-established,' said Riddle, who introduced a similar measure in
2009 that didn't get out of committee. 'If our federal government did
their job, then Arizona wouldn't have to take this action, and neither
would Texas.'
The Arizona law would require local
and state law enforcement to question people about their immigration
status -- and make it a crime for immigrants to lack registration
documents."

In fact it's such a joke that liberals and illegals are complaining about producing documents. We all do it daily and here's a story of what happened to me last week.
Here's one I had to produce just the other day in front of my own damn house, yet I wasn't whining and crying because I'm proud to pull out my SSA card, my FOID card and my drivers license, for that reason I firmly believe anyone who isn't and won't simply cannot and doesn't belong here.
I'm so unworried about being asked for it I'll put the damn thing right here online .....(after some thought I decided I'm not gonna jeopardize my impeccable credit by even putting a redacted one up here) so here's my FOID card which one must possess a drivers license to even own.
You can see here I've been cleared by the Illinois State Police to own firearms 16 north of Chicago where they're illegal yet I won't go anywhere without it around these sanctuary city parts.
There.......... so if I can feel comfortable showing the universe I'm a legal firearms owner why should not any citizen with nothing to hide? This also means I'm also not a damn felon nor illegal, even though I look very Italian, especially in the summer around here, and am hassled by cops as well when I go downtown in my nicest cars.
This one I get pulled over in all the time...
Especially when I have the top down like so because I look like a mafia dago and the windows are blackeed out...and I know I do, I can't help it, it's my Italian heritage.
I've even been pulled over on the notorious and dangerous West Side of Chicago in a town called Maywood, which is known mostly for it's "crack stores" out in the open just "for being in a black neighborhood."
That is no lie, as I used to cut through there to get to the south side from the North side without taking the Kennedy expressway down Cicero Avenue, which cuts through the worst neighborhoods in the western hemisphere anyone who's familiar with Chicago will verify. Problem is it's also part of the city that has to be traversed and I got no problem with it, but cops do apparently and I know why.
I got stopped and simply asked what I was doing there, and I also proceeded to scold him, but then finishing by saying "now I know how it feels to be black in my part of the suburbs"... and I meant it.
So anyhow, here's the receipt for the traffic ticket I got 10 feet from my GOSH DARN FRONT DOOR in the front of the house, of which I took a picture from back and side here so you can see the stop sign as well.....
So I got pulled over at 4 in the morning right there just heading a few blocks down the street to go to Walgreen's to buy some milk and batteries for my wireless guitar transponder if you can believe that. I was very very pissed off at this cop, and even yelled at the man so much for pulling me over for rolling that sign he called backup, just so I could see past the bridge which blocks the view as you can see looking left or past the picture per se.
Everyone has to do it to see.
I said "Gosh dammit I live right there and you're gonna give me ticket, meanwhile Illegal aliens are running rampant right in the damn neighborhood and you people don't do anything to them? Chase them out of town because you're doing it to taxpayers like myself !!! %$%$#%^#%^#^%#%& !!!!
And that's lord honest truth as here's the receipt seeing I just "payed the thing the other day because it's too difficult for a crippled man like myself to get in and out of the Rolling Meadows IL Cook County courthouse , the same one they prosecute all the Chicago suburban crooks located about10 miles away to the west of us right across from Arlington Park Race Track.
But I didn't sue, you didn't see my whining and bitching, but now I am because I feel safe saying that we law abiding Americans are sick and tired of being sick and tired, having to work our asses off everyday so the government can treat us like Barney Frank's boyfriend every damn week on payday .
And why are we getting "dicked" around like this?
Because in every state of the Union we have grand larceny and theft to the trillionth degree going on in our hospitals and everywhere else, because we're being sucked dry by the illegal aliens amongst us from sea to shining sea of all races and religions, although 90% come through the southern border to "Mehico.
And these are the same liberals who don't want ID Cards and all this other garbage, and they don't because they lose 20 million votes if we demand drivers licenses at polling booths around the country and I've long maintained without that fraud democrats can't get elected anywhere.
Therefore if we boot all the illegals a larger fraud will come to light, and that will be "how many elections have been stolen around the country by the ballot boxes being stuffed with illegal votes" and I'd lay my beloved deceased mother's grave on that charge, God be my witness. That's the only explanation how such a radical group could get elected in this still majority Christian Judeo country no matter what the Obama State Media Cabal say.
So don't be confused out there all you folks who are here illegally by liberals and unions who are using you along with the black usual race baiters: "we have no problem with you coming back when you get your paperwork in order, waiting for your LEGAL return so that we can collect your taxes on your $100,000 a year tax free lawn care businesses and Food stands, along with all the other "silent" businesses under the radar mostly illegal aliens of all persuasions do to skirt the IRS".
And if you're a law abiding American you simply wouldn't have a problem with it. I don't it's quite obvious and my maternal and paternal grandparents where Italian and German Ellis Island Immigrants and lived in New York and Chicago slums before becoming successful, law abiding Americans first and foremost til their deaths.

I'm all for quelling the violence, just so long as the
Guard are sent to the South and West sides and not standing in front of
Wrigleyville and the Willis, Sears (or wtf they're calling it now) tower.
Or once again, the majority of the city's citizens who are law abider's must suffer for the incivility and
disrespect for the law and life itself due to illegals on the far west side and sad
to say but the very poorest of segments of the African American community mostly scattered around the south.
One way it could be done is that they could
use the police around the rest of the city, and send the "able and ready
Guardsmen", who are all the best reserves in the world considering
they've all rotated in and out of 2 wars for a decade now into the violent neighborhoods where all the ILLEGAL WEAPONRY is located and used on the streets.
So here we
are today, and the city from which the elected president comes from,
which a year and 4 months after his inauguration needs a permanent
National Guard deployment while he was
miraculously rewarded for nothing, was made leader of the land.

about an upside down world we're living in today.
And even more sad is
that the very people who elected the man will have the guard right in
their own neighborhoods should this happen to take place which it won't because they do this every couple of months and that's about the end of it.
Perhaps they would welcome it in their more dangerous than Baghdad neighborhoods, but I wouldn't
in any neighborhood which I would live in.
I laugh in a sense though as people online scold me all the time
for calling America a rapidly deteriorating country that is now in its
urban areas turned into a third world nation. And I say that because Only third world nations
need to consider deploying military men and women on their streets permanently.

"Two state representatives called on Gov. Pat Quinn Sunday to deploy
the Illinois National Guard to safeguard Chicago's streets. Chicago
Democrats John Fritchey and LaShawn Ford said they want Quinn, Mayor
Richard Daley and Chicago Police Supt. Jody Weis to allow guardsmen to
patrol streets and help quell violence.
Weis said he did not support
the idea because the military and police operate under different rules.
'Is this a drastic call to action? Of course it is,' Fritchey said. 'Is
it warranted when we are losing residents to gun violence at such an
alarming rate? Without question. We are not talking about rolling tanks
down the street or having armed guards on each corner.'
What he
envisions, Fritchey said, is a 'heightened presence on the streets,'
particularly on the roughly 9 percent of city blocks where most of the
city's violent crimes occur. Weis previously identified those 'hot
spots' and said he plans to create a 100-person team made up of
selected and volunteer police personnel to respond to crime there. If
guardsmen were to assist police, they could comprise or contribute to
that force, Fritchey said. So far this year, 113 people have been
killed across Chicago, the same number of U.S. troops killed in Iraq
and Afghanistan combined in the same period, Fritchey said.
'As we
speak, National Guard members are working side-by-side with our troops
to fight a war halfway around the world,' Fritchey said. 'The
unfortunate reality is that we have another war that is just as deadly
taking place right in our backyard.' While the National Guard has been
deployed in other states to prevent violence related to specific events
and protests, the Chicago legislators said they are unaware of
guardsmen being deployed to assist with general urban unrest.
Weis
countered that the only scenario in which the National Guard would be
helpful is in the situation of a tornado, earthquake or flood. If the
military were brought in to help with city violence, they wouldn't
answer to police command -- creating a 'major disconnect' in mission
and strategy."

Two Washington Park neighborhood teens were charged Thursday night with sexually assaulting a mentally challenged woman who went missing earlier this week on the South Side.
Phillip Brown and Rajah Latimore, both 18 and of the 5600 block of South King Drive, were charged at 6 p.m. Thursday with one count each of aggravated criminal sexual assault of a mentally handicapped person and aggravated kidnapping of a mentally handicapped person, according to police.
The 18-year-old woman was reported missing after she was last seen Monday. She was found Tuesday night in the 5600 block of South King Drive, police said.
Brown and Latimore were both arrested at 9:15 p.m. on Tuesday, according to police who said the suspects did not know her and the alleged attacks occurred during the time she was missing.
They are expected in Cook County Criminal Court for a bond hearing later Friday.
The Haws continue their awesome season staying alive last night with a nice shutout of the Nashville predators in game four which evens the series 2-2 and game 5 here in Chicago at the house Michael Jordan built on Madison Avenue and it will be rocking

Arlington Heights police are investigating the discovery of a partial
human corpse found in an alleyway behind 21 N. Dryden at the Marketview
Apartments in Arlington Heights.
Daily Herald "Arlington Heights police continue to investigate the discovery of part of a human body found Friday in a bag behind the Marketview Apartments in Arlington Heights.
A spokeswoman for the Cook County Medical Examiner's office reported Saturday the discovery of a lower half of a body from the pelvis down. It appeared to be a white male. Time of death could be not be determined because of warm weather factors.
The body part appeared to have been cleanly cut with a sharp object, possibly a blade, rather than with more traumatic instruments such as an ax or chainsaw.
The autopsy could not determine if the victim had been killed before the body was severed.
Authorities had no information on the victim's identity.
Arlington Heights police had no comment on the on-going investigation, which involved the Major Case Assistance Unit."

Chicago Breaking News: "It was a night of exceptionally heavy violence on a warm summer-like night in Chicago.
Six people were killed and at least 11 others were wounded across the South Side in an area stretching from the Back of the Yards neighborhood to the Calumet Heights neighborhood to the Morgan Park neighborhood. There were no arrests in any of the shootings.

SHOOT for twenty and maybe next weekend we can open the United Center
and hand out pistols to the people and let em all loose for 15 minutes,
that sounds like some good family fun to me not. But that's what's going on in the neighborhoods surrounding the Arena, so why not bring it inside and get it over with one weekend? poverty stricken, and the same people keep getting elected because they
don't vote for anyone but the same failing politicians, not really
caring who gets in office because they've been indoctrinated into
believe that "no matter what, the white man will keep them from
succeeding usually by tossing them in jail" and that "only black
politicians care about them".
Well, we can see the results of their work plain as day when it
becomes nightime and the gangs rule the streets while these local black
politicians go to prison at the same rate the poor and uneducated
people they're supposedly helping which then in turn GIVES THEM MORE
STREET CRED AND GETS THEM RE ELECTED!!! Don't believe that statement

The Hawks became the champs of the central division before even skating off in their own game as they took the ice this afternoon here in Chicago against the Calgary Flames and the Hawks are up 3-1 at the end of two periods, when I posted the story below....will post the final in an hour or so.. With a Detroit loss, Blackhawks clinch division
The lights went down and the horn sounded at the United Center, and
without playing a minute of hockey Sunday, the Blackhawks skated onto
the ice as Central Division champions.
By
virtue of Detroit's 4-3 loss at Philadelphia earlier in the
day, the Hawks clinched their first division title in 17 years -- the
last coming in 1992-93 when they took the Norris Division championship.
"That's
a huge accomplishment as a team, especially in a division that Detroit
has really owned over the past two decades," winger Kris Versteeg said
after practice Saturday, talking then about the prospect of winning the
division. "That's what we strived for at the start of the
season, is to try to finish at the top."
The
Hawks needed just one point out of their Sunday tilt against Calgary,
but that no longer mattered with the Red Wings' loss. Even a
day earlier, the Hawks seemed a bit giddy at the prospect -- though
they also acknowledged bigger goals in mind.
"That
was our first goal from the outset of the season," Hawks coach Joel
Quenneville said Saturday of winning the division. "That was the one we
wanted to attain and achieve."
Said
Hawks captain Jonathan Toews: "Once the regular season is over,
that's just statistics to us. We're in the situation
we want to be in, as far as home ice in the first round. Again, the No.
1 priority is being ready to play our best hockey when the time is
right."
I was a season ticket holder the last time the Blackawks won
their division heading into the NHL playoffs which you really have to
"suck" as a team to miss and the Hawks have done it quite a few times, but this year's team has been far better than any
recently assembled and have been literally even with or out in front of
the league's very best all season long now.
And as a longtime fan, I
think this team could actually win the Stanley Cup, although I'm no hometown KoolAid
drinker. When they suck, which they have for a long time, essentially until longtime original owner and notorious penny pincher, Dollar Bill Wirtz who pinched the quarter so tight it once made the eagle scream, passed away a couple years ago.
Thus leaving the team in the hands of his very capable and eager son Peter who's brought Chicago a young winning team literally overnight, which in sports is a usually quite lengthy and extended rebuilding time frame, especially in this perpetual "wait 'til next year" city of Chicago.
They've beaten them all this year in a great season, so they're no "pushover" like they usually are if headed into the second season which they haven't even done very much of over the past few decades.
I've been following their success all season long on the other blog which you can see and read here if you wish,
and they've not disappointed me for the first time since the last time
Bobby Hull and Stan Makita were on the same ice together, and that was
a long long time ago.
If they were to win the Cup miraculously, it would be the first time in my life, and would leave the Cubs as they only franchise to not win a World Championship in thier respective sport in the 45 years I've been alive.
Amazing, both the Hawks performance thus far this season, and how much the Cubs SUCK perennially.

Chicago Breaking News: "For the first time in three years, thousands of parishioners returned Sunday to the Holy Name Cathedral to celebrate Easter service.
The 135-year old cathedral, the storied seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago, closed when a fire erupted in the attic in February 2009. The blaze came after the building already had shuttered its doors for structural repairs.
On Sunday, parishioners and visitors stood in a line that circled the downtown Chicago cathedral as they awaited services. The crowd spilled onto the church's front steps during the 11 a.m. service.
The Rev. Dan Mayall said he'd never seen such a turnout in his eight years as pastor.
'This church has come back from a long, hard time. But we have our parishioners here, we have people from all over Chicagoland, from all over the U.S., from all over the world,' Mayall said.
The Gothic Revival cathedral holds 1,100 people. Mayall estimated the crowd hit 1,500 during many of the six services held on Easter Sunday."

Chicago News: "Chicago - A pair of related shootings in Englewood, captured on camera, were part of a violent night in Chicago, in which at least 15 people were shot, two fatally.
A man was shot and killed in the 3800 block of South Michigan Avenue. Another man was fatally shot in the 6400 block of South Paulina.
A third man was shot in the leg in the 7900 block of South Anthony Street, and a fourth man was shot in the buttocks at 7859 S. Cornell after an exchange of words.
Four people were shot outside a sports bar at South Halsted Street and West 122nd Street.
One woman claims she was shot in the arm Millennium Park, and police are checking her story.
Six people -- including five men in their 20s who were seriously to critically hurt -- have been wounded during two related shootings early Friday in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.
Initially, police responded to reports of multiple victims shot at 6607 S. Marshfield Ave. at 12:49 a.m., according to an Englewood District police lieutenant.
In this attack four men in their 20s who were shot at the Marshfield address were taken to hospitals in serious to critical condition, said Fire Media Affairs Director Larry Langford who was on the scene.
Of those four, two were taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County and two were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. Langford said three were shot in the lower extremities and the fourth was shot multiple times all over his body."

The Central Division leaders have been in the spotlight since arriving in Los Angeles on Monday. Not long after landing on the West Coast, captain Jonathan Toews and alternate captain Patrick Kane headed to ESPN's L.A. studio, where they taped a segment for SportsCenter and also announced the top 10 plays of the day.
Twenty-four hours later, Kane, Toews and the rest of the Blackhawks found themselves at NBC Studios, where they attended a taping of 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.'
'The whole team sat in the crowd,' Kane told NHL.com from Los Angeles on Tuesday night. 'Myself, Jonathan Toews, Duncan Keith and Brent Seabrook -- all the medal winners -- had a little part in the show. It was pretty cool.'
Kane received a little extra attention, considering he was the lone American among the Olympians on Chicago's roster. He appreciated the feedback he received from the audience.
'He introduced me and I got a pretty big cheer,' said Kane, who hails from Buffalo, N.Y. 'We got a big cheer when he introduced the team. It was pretty cool to see.'" more
