Chicago News: "Chicago - A pair of related shootings in Englewood, captured on camera, were part of a violent night in Chicago, in which at least 15 people were shot, two fatally.

A man was shot and killed in the 3800 block of South Michigan Avenue. Another man was fatally shot in the 6400 block of South Paulina.

A third man was shot in the leg in the 7900 block of South Anthony Street, and a fourth man was shot in the buttocks at 7859 S. Cornell after an exchange of words.

Four people were shot outside a sports bar at South Halsted Street and West 122nd Street.

One woman claims she was shot in the arm Millennium Park, and police are checking her story.

Six people -- including five men in their 20s who were seriously to critically hurt -- have been wounded during two related shootings early Friday in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

Initially, police responded to reports of multiple victims shot at 6607 S. Marshfield Ave. at 12:49 a.m., according to an Englewood District police lieutenant.

In this attack four men in their 20s who were shot at the Marshfield address were taken to hospitals in serious to critical condition, said Fire Media Affairs Director Larry Langford who was on the scene.

Of those four, two were taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County and two were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. Langford said three were shot in the lower extremities and the fourth was shot multiple times all over his body."

Lawyer: ABC News Paid Casey Anthony $200,000 | How Libs Gather News!

I try to make this a family thing here and usually refrain from using brutal language but I had to in this post to convey my incredible anger, so please proceed with caution if you do..thanks ....

Anyone out there who watches ABC after reading this to get any of the news that they expect to be unbiased needs their head examined. As after reading this story today  I have to say as soon as I get done posting this,  I am going to spend some  quality time crafting some little love letters to the mindless executives over there.

Within those, I'll be assuring them in my own, charming, fu**ing inimitable way that every person I know will never turn their news on again as a response to their paying out that baby killing , soulless scum of a mother  named Casey Anthony, (who jerked the nation around with her bullshit tales not to mention that equally f'd up family of hers) enough money for most working people to retire on for 10 years, just for a freaking interview!!

Can you  ^%$%$#@@  believe that ^%$%$##? 

I'm not stupid, as I know the National Enquirer did it, but yet somehow  has ended up more trustworthy than the networks after the Breck Girl Edwards debacle!  And these others have ways around it, like calling the bribes "consulting fees" and all that deceptive garbage they pull now in this business.

Yet,  even though they're in Obama's jock strap 24/7, I thought at least the other news, aside from political crap, was gathered on the "up and up" for the most part.  Well, I was wrong.

Which would be prosecutors, psych evaluators and a litany of other liberal people involved these high profile cases doing everything they can to make sure the accused gets more rights and care than the victims of their usually heinous crimes.

Yet O'Reilly argues they're "the judge" and can and should do what they believe to be a fair bail based on their sole assessment of the defendant's probability of jumping bail....

7 Murders Not Enough For Death Penalty In Suburban Chicago Browns Chicken Sentencing

Life in prison for among one of the worst crimes in US history and today the murder 15 years later is sentenced to life in prison at our expense.

I ate at this little place many times before this heainous crime occurred miles from my home at the time in north suburban Palatine IL and remember the morning all too well as all did  hearing this first thing on Friday night, January 8, 1993 into about 3 am Saturday morning as I remember when it was discovered.

I was just coming home from Friday night when we heard. :(

Personally, I cannot believe this man James Degorski is sitting in prison for the next 50 years at at 50,000 a year instead of being put to death, all because of 2 from 12 jurors if you can believe that Illinois law.

One of which calls for unanimity in the eventual death sentence, which to me,  creates an easily taintable decision by just getting to one single juror one way or another,  instead of requiring a simple majority, which  isn't fair to the victims in my world.

Jury sentences James Degorski to life in prison Chicago Crime: "After more than five hours of deliberation, a Cook County jury took “mercy’’ on convicted killer James Degorski by sentencing him to life in prison for his role in the Brown’s Chicken mass murders in Palatine.

The sentence brings to a close one of the most notorious crimes in the area in recent history."Degorski remained stoic when his sentence was read in at Cook County Circuit Court. The jury was originally 8 to 4 in favor of the death penalty and then later, 10 to 2, the jury forewoman said after the sentencing.

Missing Yale Student's Body Reportedly Found? News Conference 4:30 CST

UPDATE: Turns out after the news conference the police are not admitting or simply haven't located the body as was reported loosely on FOX and subsequently posted by me here.....so it all appears to be a false alarm but I'll just leave the post as is for when they do figure out the obvious.......

Murder charges are pending no doubt as they are apparently minutes away from an official press conference confirmation on the finding of the graduate and bride to be's dead body..

FOXNews.com: "The Los Angeles County coroner has ruled Michael Jackson's death a homicide, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press, a finding that makes it more likely criminal charges will be filed against the doctor who was with the pop star when he died and is the target of a manslaughter investigation.

The coroner determined a fatal combination of drugs was given to Jackson hours before he died June 25 in his rented Los Angeles mansion, according to the official who spoke on condition of anonymity because the findings have not been publicly released. Forensic tests found the powerful anesthetic propofol acted together with at least two sedatives to cause Jackson's death, the official said.


Dr. Conrad Murray, a Las Vegas cardiologist who became Jackson's personal physician weeks before his death, is the target of the Los Angeles Police Department's manslaughter investigation. According to a search warrant affidavit unsealed Monday in Houston, Murray told investigators he administered a 25 mg dose of propofol around 10:40 a.m. after spending the night injecting Jackson with two sedatives in an unsuccessful attempt to get him to sleep."

The warrant, dated July 23, states that lethal levels of propofol were found in Jackson's system. Besides the propofol and two sedatives, the coroner's toxicology report found other substances in Jackson's system but they were not believed to have been a factor in the singer's death, the official said.

Jackson's family commended the coronor's office in a statement released Monday.

"The Jackson family has full confidence in the legal process, and commends the ongoing efforts of the L.A. County Coroner, the L.A. District Attorney and the L.A. Police Department," the statement said. "The family looks forward to the day that justice can be served."

Murray has spoken to police and last week released a video saying he "told the truth and I have faith the truth will prevail." His attorney, Edward Chernoff, had no immediate comment but has previously said Murray never administered anything that "should have" killed Jackson.

A call to the coroner's office was not returned Monday.

Ryan Jenkins' body was found in a hotel room in Hope, B.C., which is about 100 kilometres northeast of Vancouver. Police say the death is the result of an apparent suicide."

Jenkins, 32, had been charged by U.S. authorities with first-degree murder in the death Jasmine Fiore, a 28-year-old former swimsuit model.

Fiore's mutilated body was discovered last weekend stuffed into a suitcase in a Los Angeles-area dumpster.

Investigators on both sides of the border had asked for assistance from the public in their search for Jenkins, who is suspected of strangling Fiore and reporting her missing the evening of Aug. 15, then fleeing.

Police suspected that Jenkins had likely snuck back into his home country by car, boat and on foot.

Police didn't say how long Jenkins' body had been in the motel room. There had also been a $25,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.

Earlier on Sunday, Jenkins' father said he has met with Canadian authorities, but they haven't asked him to make a public plea for his son to turn himself in.

Dan Jenkins, a successful architect who lives in Calgary, would not say whether he has been in touch with his fugitive son. The elder Jenkins said he has been advised by his lawyer not to comment.

Jenkins and Fiore met in Las Vegas in March and married soon afterwards. Fiore's mother said her daughter had the marriage annulled, but no court documents have been found to prove that claim. The couple, who had a rocky relationship, had reportedly reconciled recently.

Disturbing details

Fiore's body was discovered in Buena Park, a city about 32 kilometres southeast of Los Angeles. Her teeth and fingers had been removed, apparently in an effort to keep authorities from identifying her.

Investigators used the serial numbers on her breast implants to identify Fiore, said Farrah Emami, a spokesperson for the Orange County district attorney's office.

Fiore was a model who worked in Las Vegas and Los Angeles, working gigs such as being bodypainted at parties.

Jenkins had been a contestant on VH1's recent reality show "Megan Wants a Millionaire," which the network cancelled on Friday.

In Calgary, Jenkins' former fiancee Paulina Chmielecka said she never saw a violent side of him.

"The guy was a great guy, as far as I knew he was very happy," she told CTV. "In our relationship, we had our fights -- everyone does -- but I would never say, 'Well, he could have murdered someone.' There's no way."

My Way News -"SANTA MONICA, Calif. (AP) - A California judge ordered some memorabilia returned to O.J. Simpson Tuesday, even as the football Hall of Famer sits in a Nevada prison for stealing it during a hotel room heist.

In a ruling that capped more than a year of legal wrangling, Superior Court Judge Gerald Rosenberg on Tuesday gave nine souvenir footballs and a few other items to a lawyer for Simpson nemesis Fred Goldman for auction. Goldman is trying to collect on a $33.5 million civil judgment against Simpson.

But in another odd twist, the judge said Simpson must get the first $6,075 from the auction.

Rosenberg said it was possible that figure would not be reached, and then Goldman would get nothing."

The most satisfied litigant was memorabilia dealer Bruce Fromong, who was able to reclaim about 600 photographs and several books that he said were taken from him during the Las Vegas hotel room confrontation on Sept. 13, 2007.

During his trial, Simpson called it a sting operation designed to recover his memorabilia, which he said had been stolen from him.

Another of the participants in the dispute was Simpson's former manager Mike Gilbert, who asked for nothing at the hearing and received nothing.

Outside of court, Gilbert grumbled, "I think America is tired of O.J. Simpson, tired of Fred Goldman and tired of me. I just want it over."

Because of the hotel room standoff, Simpson was sentenced to nine to 33 years for convictions on armed robbery, kidnapping and other charges. He has applied for release on bond while he appeals.

Rosenberg had all of the items seized from the hotel room brought to his courtroom in cartons, which he opened and displayed. Among the items returned to Simpson were framed awards, a signed photo of him and others with former FBI Chief J. Edgar Hoover and three neckties that he wore at his murder trial. Simpson also received a few souvenir footballs.

One of the men who was in the hotel room, Alfred Beardsley, was given back only the baseball hat he wore the night of the heist. He proudly put it on.

Attorney David Cook, representing Goldman, received nine game balls and two pillow cases from the hotel room, for the auction.

Beardsley, who took up Simpson's cause after he blew the whistle on him, said outside court: "I'm happy and excited for O.J., that he'll be getting some of his stuff back."

Meanwhile, Simpson attorney Ronald P. Slates, told the court clerk that if the $6,075 is obtained, it should be deposited in a trust account because "it's tough cashing checks in prison."

Cook, who initiated the campaign to seize the items, acknowledged that "it's chump change" and his battle to collect the civil judgment against Simpson has been "enormously futile."

The judge said he was following a law that exempted certain items from civil judgments, including household furnishings, decorations and items used in business. Awards that were displayed in Simpson's house fell into that category, he said.

Fromong estimated he could sell his photos and books for $15,000 to $30,000, but the sports market is flooded with Simpson memorabilia now, he said, so prices may be down.

Slates acknowledged there was an irony in Simpson receiving items he always claimed were his.

"It was his," he said, "but you have to go about getting the things lawfully."
