'Iraq Mission Accomplished' as Last U.S. combat convoy has left Iraq

4,419 U.S. troops have died in 7 years of war in Iraq.

They died for us, for the Iraqi's first taste of freedom and to settle some old scores, and frankly in this American's opinion, those people there owe them their asses and us their oil for the next 25 years for asses kicked and 'Mission Accomplished', but thanks to the liberals we'll never see a dime of that sort of payback money.

This day would have happened 5 years ago if the liberals in this country would have kept their mouths and keyboards shut, and supported the war effort like every American sans Vietnam has done during our entire history for the 6 years before bonehead Obama was elected as they have since, as we have the entire time, from the night it started with Shock and Awe.

But they didn't and here we sit 5 years later and almost 4500 military men and women lighter since 911.

It's not so wonderful a gift, but we thank them for all they've done, apologize to them for all they lost, especially their fallen comrades and their families who have suffered untold and immeasurable sacrifices, and we prey they don't have to do it all again in this lifetime.

Even though Iraq had no direct connection to 911 aside from one meeting and the harboring of some Al Queda, our government were the boneheads that created Saddam, so finally after 911 it was up to us to kill the monster before he piled on the 'fun', and our finest in the world military did just that, delivering Saddam and his sons' heads on silver platters to the Iraqi's as promised.

So, perhaps we'll just nuke em next time, because there will be a next time we can rest assured, as long as Islam exists in this world.

Welcome home when you get here, God Bless you all, and the United States of America.

And to the republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible (until the Woodstock liberals came along) with liberty (same thing) and justice for all. (social justice if you're a NAACP peep)

Last U.S. combat convoy has left Iraq "Mosul, Iraq (CNN) -- The last U.S. brigade combat team in Iraq has left the country, a move that helps U.S. President Barack Obama reach his goal of 50,000 troops in the country by September 1.

Their departure leaves about 56,000 U.S. troops in the country, according to the U.S. military.

Capt. Christopher Ophardt, spokesman for the 4th Stryker Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, said the last of the 4,000 members of the unit crossed the border into Kuwait early Thursday.

A few hundred members stayed behind to finish administrative and logistical duties but will fly out of Baghdad later Thursday, Ophardt said

Much of the brigade departed more than a day ago, but the announcement was delayed for security reasons.

Their departure comes more than seven years after U.S. combat forces entered, though their departure does not signify the end of all U.S. combat forces in the country. continued at CNN.com:

Obama calls Iraq vote an 'important milestone' - (Yea, Right Mr "I'm Against The Surge")

He and his fellow dems sure didn't feel this way when the war was being fought and won while they tried everything in their power to help it fail. Again and again the wrong side of history and then they attempt to rewrite their actual participation.

How many democrats said "the war just isn't worth the price"? Too many to count, but now the elections are "important milestones". What assholes.

Here's Obama during the election that lasted half as long as the wars actually claiming the "surge" would "increase secular violence",  and we know he was dead set against it from beginning to end..Moron.

Obama and Biden pictured in the Rose Garden today taking credit for the elections in Iraq...(look at Binden's face and eyes, buzz anyone?)

Obama calls Iraq vote an 'important milestone' -

Yahoo! News: "WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama praised the Iraqi people for passing 'an important milestone' Sunday, when millions turned out for national elections despite insurgent attacks that killed more than 30 people.

No doubt relieved that violence was not worse, Obama said Iraqi security forces showed maturing capabilities as they protected the nation through a day that was ripe for attacks by Sunni Muslim insurgents and al-Qaida in Iraq.

'Today's voting makes it clear that the future of Iraq belongs to the people of Iraq,' the president said.

The vote was Iraq's second national election since the U.S.-led invasion in 2003. The big turnout and limited violence were seen as key to the planned withdrawal of American combat forces by Aug. 31."

Joe Biden update: Iraq one of Obama's 'great achievements' | H ere We Go With Liberal History ReWrite

Listen to the bumbling Gump Gibbs try and explain exactly how this is Obama's great achievement when he was against the surge first of all, and Biden along with the entire liberal movement was ok with a "cut and run like hell" strategy right in the middle of the war.

Yea, it's Obama's achievement. It's like saying the janitor that came in after the contest to clean up the stands, helped the home team win because they were worried no one would clean up after the game. What a joke, we've been expecting this for a while now.

Yea, Obama is to thank for everything accomplished good or bad in Iraq!  He sure hasn't managed to claim a victory anywhere else, that's for sure, and for Joe Biden to come out and claim he and Obama (who again were ready to cut and run prior to and throughout the surge) are even remotely responsible for "All The Great Iraqi Achievements" is beyond an insult to all involved.

They didn't do shit, as the order to come home was signed before he became president as you heard Gibbs confirm in the video, so that argument don't dont fly in these non friendly skies.

Larry thanks Joe for the stock tip the last time he was on, both made a killing ;)

And this is the LA Times cutting this Biden claim to pieces.

Top of the Ticket | Los Angeles Times:

Politics and commentary, coast to coast, from the Los Angeles Times

Democrat Vice President Joe Biden with Larry King on CNN 2-10-10

Who knew?

Thank goodness, Vice President Joe Biden went on CNN to chat with Larry King Wednesday night. So many think things are not going so well for the Democrat administration, as The Ticket chronicled here.

Many Americans recall the ex-Sen. Biden's Democratic primary plans to give in to Iraq's fractious factions and carve the country into three territories. And even more probably recall Biden's boss' plan to halt the Iraq war years ago. As long as it got started anyway without the permission of the then state senator.

Plus, of course, Obama's vehement opposition to the 2007 American troop surge of you-know-who from Texas that Obama knew for certain was only going to worsen sectarian strife there. (See 2007 video here.)...."  more

The World's A Better Place Today As 'Chemical Ali' executed in Iraq

Three Strikes and he's finally out..took 3 death sentences to get rid of this guy....

Thanks to George Bush and the US Military along with Tony Blair's Brits and a few other loyal friends Obama's screwed by dropping the missile shield, millions are alive today who would have been killed by this scum and Saddam's cabal.

And not to mention countless children who would have starved under Saddam and the UN's corrupt to the bone "Oil for Food" scam. It took a while but they got all those sons of bitches in Iraq finally.
BBC News - 'Chemical Ali' executed in Iraq: "Ali Hassan al-Majid, a former Iraqi official known as Chemical Ali, has been executed by hanging, a government spokesman has announced.

Majid, an enforcer in Saddam Hussein's regime and his cousin, had earlier been sentenced to death four times for genocide and crimes against humanity.

In January, he was sentenced to death for ordering the gas attack on the Kurdish town of Halabja in 1988.

It is believed that about 5,000 people died in the attack." continued

Bush Appears at a High School Graduation In New Mexico

I bet these high school kids were pretty excited to see and hear a real president with 8 solid years under his belt keeping the country safe and prosperous right up until the world woke up from their Obama drunkenness and realized he was actually going to be elected and started yanking their money out of banks and mutual funds triggering the exposure of the massive fraud going on at Fannie and Freddie.

This article is the only account of the appearance as cameras and media were kept at a distance and with Bush and Cheney's popularity rising drastically as I've always predicted would be the case once the world got a little taste of the world under the Obama umbrella and realized what a great patriot and president Bush really was.

Bush: It's 'liberating' to be out of office

The Big 89, Where Chicago Comes To Talk: ARTESIA, N.M. (AP) -- It was a humbling moment for the former commander in chief: President George W. Bush was walking former first dog Barney in his new Dallas neighborhood when it stopped in a neighbor's yard for relief.

"And there I was, former president of the United States of America, with a plastic bag on my hand," he told a group of graduating high school students in New Mexico on Thursday. "Life is returning back to normal."

Bush, in one of his few public appearances since leaving office in January, told the students that leaving office lifted a heavy burden.

"I no longer feel that great sense of responsibility that I had when I was in the Oval Office. And frankly, it's a liberating feeling," he told seniors from Artesia High School.

He received a warm welcome in the southeastern New Mexico community, the Roswell Daily Record reported. Bush declined interviews and no video cameras were allowed inside.

The crowd gave him multiple standing ovations and after his speech he was presented with a sculpture of an eagle taking flight from a torch. The sculpture will be dedicated at City Hall on Memorial Day in honor of Bush and America's veterans.

Bush invoked an Iraq veteran's story to motivate the students to continue their educations. He described visiting Army Staff Sgt. Christian Bagge, a soldier from Oregon who lost both legs in combat.

When he visited Bagge at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Bush told him that someday Bagge would get out of his bed and run.

Then, one day, an aide went into Bush's office and said Bagge was waiting on the South Lawn and wanted to go running with the president.

If Bagge could do that, Bush told the students: "You can go to college."

Bush made his first public speech since leaving office in Canada back in March. Bush said he hoped President Barack Obama's administration would be successful. He also said he was writing a book about some of the difficult decisions he made while in office.

Someone Else Had A Great Last 100 Days ...Bush Library Raises $100 Million Quicker Than His Predecessors

Geez, I thought this guy was too hated throughout the world for such an endeavor, even by his so called supporters, according to most MSM recollections, which are of coarse the last place anyone with any sense would turn to for any semblance of the truth in today's world of lies, propaganda and deceit in the MSM.

Backers of the president have raised over $100 mil for the soon to be built library that will be situated on the campus of SMU, otherwise known as Southern Methodist University in Dallas Texas, where the president and and first LADY Laura Bush have now taken up residence since the White House was turned into Equal Opportunity housing in January

This brisk pace of fundraising, which began the afternoon of January 20th, is moving at an unprecedented clip surpassing Ronald Reagan, his father Bush Sr and most recently the slithering Slick Willie Clinton, whom we all know traded everything from presidential pardons to nuclear favors for Chinese donors to HIS library well before leaving office.

Scandal which caused a considerable delay in his reaching this milestone by the way that the media will surely pick apart in any fashion they can or see fit.

Foundation president Mark Langdale said the names of the contributors will not be released because most donors prefer to remain anonymous, thanks to the threats most would likely receive throughout the left wingnut blogosphere for such donations, which also kept Langdale from releasing an exact total.

However other sources according to a Time Mag article on the subject reported commitments totaling more than a third of the $300 million projected for the George W. Bush Presidential Center, which will house a museum as well as a research institute that will be built on a 25-acre parcel of SMU.

screenshot of Bush Library Website

Along with writing his memoirs — something Bush has also begun in recent months — financing and building a uniquely developed presidential library has been the initial focus of nearly every president who left the White House since Harry Truman.

The historical pace of Bush's fundraising has been all the more remarkable for taking place during a period of economic downturn along with a falsely reported widespread hatred among Americans for this who I happen to believe will be remembered as a great president when compared to his ridiculous predecessor who will in turn go down as an abject failure when all is said and done in 2012 and thereafter.

Groundbreaking for the library is set for November of next year; organizers hope to dedicate and open the doors in early 2013.

Cheney Slams Obama Again-Calls Overseas Trips "Disturbing"

Last night on Fox was a killer lineup of what the hell is wrong with Obama and the present course of this country and Hannity's show gave us a great interview with Dick Cheney ridiculing Obama's despot glad handing tour of the past four or five days.

Today Rush Limbaugh talked about this from the angle that Obama can't stand the fact that the Bush administration was able to slam the door shut on the terrorists after 911, knowing this will be a tall order to follow having to dismantle Bush's terror apparatus to placate the lunatic fringe he want's to make sure his skinny ass is covered when the next attack occurs and this is part of that plot

Barack Obama Sends Our Enemies A Big Wet Kiss With CIA Secret Documents' Dump

My Message to the liberal terrorist appeasing faction of Americans and Eurotrash out there is this

The charge the military complex in this country are faced with each and every minute of every day is Jack Bauer 24 for real, not some tv show or even worse this amateur hour liberal combination Romper Room, Sesame Street Kum Bah Ya rainbow of humanity dreamworld that far too many peacenick daydreamers live in today with Obama as their pied piper.

It's more a world that is perfectly condensed when described by the famous pop culture rant in the movie "A Few Good Men" delivered by the all too real Jack Nicholson character Colonel Jessup delivered to the liberal counterpart characters that liberal meat head director Rob Reiner created played by Cruise and the typical dreamer Demi Moore representing those who don't understand what it takes to protect a country, nor should they know just as our enemies shouldn't know what will happen to them when they choose to engage our brave soldiers in the battlefield while trying to get through them to kill you and I next.

YOU CAN"T HANDLE THE TRUTH!...... You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall, you need me on that wall.

You don't want the truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall, you need me on that wall. We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something.

You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand at post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to."

As far as I'm concerned the documents that have just been released place our soldiers in even more compromising positions than the already ridiculous Rules Of Engagement they must adhere to put their lives at an unfair and certainly undeserved disadvantage while doing their jobs better than anyone on the planet as the now thoroughly discredited Haditha fiasco has proved, making the radical Muslim's job much much easier to do today than it was yesterday

To any sane individual who opposes what the Bush administration did to make this country safe you will soon pay for your God forsaken ignorance while the much more serious radicals prepare your death warrants as you all sit at home safe for now under what's left of the cloak of safety provided by Bush, the CIA interrogators and soldiers throughout the world that have been and continue to be ridiculed and denigrated for doing nothing but what's asked of them......a great job.

Here's where another great line from that movie is more than appropriate this afternoon more than ever in our history of winning most wars we've been forced to fight...

AAAAA. I'm sorry, your time's run out. What do we have for the losers, judge? Well, for our defendants, it's a lifetime in exotic Fort Leavenworth. And for defense counsel Kaffee... that's right... it's a court martial!

Yes, Johnny! After falsely accusing a highly decorated marine officer of conspiracy and perjury, Lieutenant Kaffee will have a long and prosperous career teaching typewriter maintenance at the Rocko Club School for Women.

Thank you for playing 'Should We Or Should We Not Follow The Advice Of The Galactically Stupid'"

Barack Obama releases Bush-era 'interrogation memos'

- Telegraph: "The Justice Department is set to make the documents public in response to a lawsuit brought by the American Civil Liberties Union in California.

At the same time Eric Holder, the Attorney General, will confirm that CIA employees who used those 'enhanced' methods on terror suspects will not be prosecuted, as long as they acted within the guidelines contained in the memos."

The release follows a sharp debate within the White House, with Mr Holder and chief legal counsel Greg Craig strongly in favour of letting the public see the memos unedited because the president has strongly denounced the tactics they allowed.

The CIA and other intelligence advisers said that doing so would harm the administration's relations with the agency at a sensitive time.

Redacting key elements of the texts will upset human rights advocates and many of the president's supporters. They were hopeful that a new era was under way when the day after taking office Mr Obama ordered the closing of the US detention centre at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba within a year and the immediate cessation of the special interrogation regime used by the CIA. In 2006 the agency itself said those methods were no longer in use.

The memos were authored in 2002 and 2005 by Jay Bybee and Steven Bradbury, who at the time were lawyers for George W Bush's Justice Department Office of Legal Counsel.

They provided the legal framework for a programme of interrogations of "war on terror" detainees that included techniques widely regarded as torture such as waterboarding, which simulates drowning. Another reportedly involved banging to a prisoner's head against the wall.

Bush Not Hated AS Much As Left & MSM Like To Report and Believe

We'll see these kind of tributes to George Bush in the future on a consistent basis after Hussein Obama reminds the world what a truly shi**y and insignificant president looks like. Especially after he gets done wrecking what's left of the country after the dem led Pelosi congress of the past two years has thoroughly destroyed the world economy in their efforts to humiliate George Bush have completely backfired into the Fannie Freddie Fiasco of their own doings.

Something the ignorant of the world blame conveniently on Bush and the republicans when anyone who can read and knows anything about finance knows Barney Frank and his ankle grabbers are responsible for this ENTIRELY.

Not to mention their blatant treasonous efforts to sabotage the miraculous and bold undertakings Bush embarked on in the back assward medieval Middle East in the boldest attempt by any world leader to remake that sand filled hellhole after their offspring destroyed 3000 american lives and 2 world class landmark skyscrapers int he process. History will show the truth as we know it to be and the left blindly ignores with their pathological hatred for a truly well intentioned man of impeccable character.

Kosovo names street after US President Bush

Breitbart "Kosovo decided Wednesday to name a central street of its capital Pristina after outgoing US President George W. Bush for his support of the territory's split from Serbia.

Backed unanimously by Kosovo's cabinet, Prime Minister Hashim Thaci said the move was 'a sign of the huge state and national respect and appreciation' for the United States' contribution to independence, declared earlier this year.

Located in Pristina's downtown area, Bush Street is to be linked to the main thoroughfare named after Mother Teresa, the 1979 Nobel Peace Laureate of Albanian origin.

Separately, the government pledged 5,000 euros (7,000 dollars) towards a statue honouring Bush's predecessor, Bill Clinton, popular in ethnic Albanian-majority Kosovo over NATO's 1999 air war against Serb forces.

The three-metre (10-foot) tall statue, a project started in 2007, is to stand in a square of Pristina, which already has a Bill Clinton Boulevard graced by a 7.5 metre-high mural of the former US leader.

The United States was one of the first of more than 50 countries to recognise the independence of Kosovo, which is staunchly opposed by Serbia and its ally Russia."

Bush Has No Regrets For Acting Like A President
(Instead Of Insecure, MSM Drunk, Egocentric Teen Idols Like Hussein & Slick)

This president did the best any reasonable person not afflicted with the most threatening mental disorder that swept the nation for 7 years BDS would expect under the extraordinary circumstances with which he was presented in 2001 on September 11th. He’s kept the country safe since then, no easy task .

A task that Hussein and his legions of ObaMorons will soon find out can only be done in the manner of which he’s managed to do it, Tea parties and bong a thons with Ahmadinejad and other Arab Sheik scum won’t get it done. Their new hero had better do the same or his political career will be a short and useless and we’ll have his head on a platter, period.

Any changes to Bush’s successful terror policies that result in an attack will rest solely on his shoulders and theirs, and that’s a fact the left better get a grip on and soon.

President Bush was an honorable man who was unpopular because men of character don’t stick their crooked fingers in the air to check the public wind direction and consult pollsters to make their toughest decisions as democrats like Slick Willie and Barack Hussein Osama do..

Bush says he didn't compromise soul to be popular:

WASHINGTON (AP) - President George W. Bush knows he's unpopular. But here's what matters, he says: "I didn't compromise my soul to be a popular guy." In a wide-ranging interview with Fox News Channel, Bush also praised the national security team assembled by President-elect Barack Obama, offered hope to U.S. automakers seeking government assistance and said the people of Illinois will have to sort out allegations that Gov. Rod Blagojevich sought kickbacks in choosing a successor for Obama's Senate seat.

Bush said presidents fail when they make decisions based on opinion polls.

"Look, everybody likes to be popular," said Bush.

"What do you expect? We've got a major economic problem and I'm the president during the major economic problem. I mean, do people approve of the economy? No. I don't approve of the economy. ... I've been a wartime president. I've dealt with two economic recessions now. I've had, hell, a lot of serious challenges. What matters to me is I didn't compromise my soul to be a popular guy."

An Associated Press-GFK poll last week showed just 28 percent of the public approving of the job Bush is doing, about where he has been all fall. Among Republicans, 54 percent approve, a low figure from members of a president's own political party.

Bush said he didn't think he would be viewed as the 21st century's Herbert Hoover, who was president during the Great Depression. He said he worked to keep the economy from collapsing.

"I'm a free market guy," Bush said. "But I'm not going to let this economy crater in order to preserve the free market system. So we made a lot of very strong moves and it's been painful for a lot of people, particularly because, you know, this—the excesses of the past have caused a lot of folks to hurt when it comes to, like, their 401(k)'s or, you know, their jobs."

He said his administration is continuing to look at options for helping the Big Three automakers and that it needs to get done "relatively soon." He said a "disorganized bankruptcy" of one or more of the automakers could cause great harm to the economy "beyond that which we're now witnessing."

"That concerns me," he said. "And the other point is that I—I'm not interested in—in really putting good money after bad."

World AIDS Day, How About "WORLD AIDS / BUSH RECOGNITION DAY" ?

Another of president Bush's exemplary achievements done of coarse on the backs of we American Taxpayers has been the attention to The World AIDS crisis that is acceptable to me when done by our guidance and our standards, however not by just dropping planeloads of billions of our dollars into Africa's corrupt political system that is which had been done in the past and still is to an unacceptable extent.

Unacceptable to me and millions of others since there are likely thousands of diseases around the world in which the recipients don't inflict the sickness upon one another and even themselves like this disease, which as we know how this insidious illness is mostly communicated. So for that reason alone the amount of money thrown at this single yet terrible disease is in many ways unfair to millions upon millions of others who are sick by not their own behaviors and lifestyles, and still their particular equally terrible affliction gets little or no money if any attention. Exactly how fair is that I ask?

This story has also been yet another in a 6 year long line of colossal & even intentional failures by the liberal U.S. and World Media, a cabal who have collectively done a DESPICABLE JOB in order to intentionally deny deserved and proper credit to that one single person and administration on this planet and in this lifetime who has done more for combating AIDS than anyone in this universe has nor ever will.

So as far as I'm concerned that's just something else all Bush haters on the left and the media can go choke on when Bush is gone and retired in long awaited peace and quiet I'm sure, props that even the super large liberal AIDS activist Bob Geldolf had to ream out the media and the entire world for that matter a while back, for entirely ignoring Bush's great achievements in this arena posted below.

So that's how I'll choose to recognize "WORLD AIDS DAY" today and every day it ever comes up, THANKING PRESIDENT BUSH for all he's sacrificed and done to make the world a better place during his 8 years as president, as only God above knows trying to keep sexual animals and the gay gestapo around the world from spreading this disease amongst one another is a damn hard job for any one man or country.

However President Bush has done a better than expected job here, more than anyone else before him and more than anyone ever will, and that's for damn sure.

So good that he should be on the list that is sure to dis" him as well. That being the next list of recipients for the Nobel Peace Prize, a Prize that truly lost it's nobility a long time ago and wouldn't think of honoring a deserving conservative in a million years .

Again From Feb 19th 2008 came this lone article I remember well...

Bob Geldof in Rwanda gives Bush his props

The Washington Times, America's Newspaper: "KIGALI, Rwanda — Bob Geldof has parachuted into the White House travel pool here in Rwanda, and will join us on the flight from Air Force One to Ghana tonight.

He's going to interview President Bush for Time magazine and several European outlets, such as Liberacion, about aid to Africa for HIV/AIDS, malaria, and business development.

Mr. Geldof is an Irish rock and roll singer and longtime social activist who has helped, along with U2 rocker Bono, raise awareness about need in Africa. His most well known achievement is organizing the Live Aid concert in 1985, which raised money for debt relief for poor African countries.

But Mr. Geldof has remained closely engaged with African affairs since then, and he spoke off the cuff to reporters today who were waiting for a press conference with Mr. Bush and Rwandan President Paul Kagame.

Mr. Geldof praised Mr. Bush for his work in delivering billions to fight disease and poverty in Africa, and blasted the U.S. press for ignoring the achievement.

Mr. Bush, said Mr. Geldof, 'has done more than any other president so far.'

'This is the triumph of American policy really,' he said. 'It was probably unexpected of the man. It was expected of the nation, but not of the man, but both rose to the occasion.'

'What's in it for [Mr. Bush]? Absolutely nothing,' Mr. Geldof said.

Mr. Geldof said that the president has failed 'to articulate this to Americans' but said he is also 'pissed off' at the press for their failure to report on this good news story.

'You guys didn't pay attention,' Geldof said to a group of reporters from all the major newspapers.

Bush administration officials, incidentally, have also been quite displeased with some of the press coverage on this trip that they have viewed as overly negative and ignoring their achievements."

So now on today's WORLD AIDS BUSH RECOGNITION DAY comes this news from the White House before it's turned into a house of constitutional bastardization, (at least until a certain president elect complies by delivering his proof of birth to 47 million plus American voters demanding it who didn't vote for him in a daze of ignorance like the half the 60 million that did):

White House: HIV/AIDS treatment program goal reached early:

AFP: "WASHINGTON (AFP) — President George W. Bush will mark World AIDS Day Monday by announcing that his administration has already met its goal of treating two million people living with HIV/AIDS by the end of the year, the White House said.

'PEPFAR is the largest commitment by any nation to combat a single disease in human history,' White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said in a statement.

'When the President launched this initiative in 2003, approximately 50,000 people in all of sub-Saharan Africa were receiving anti-retroviral treatment.'

The President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) provides funding for HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis treatment in 15 focus countries among the world's poorest, mainly in Africa." continued
