Poll: Most Want GOP to Keep Fighting on Health Bill (Roger That)

This sure says a lot about the congressional shenanigans we've ALL witnessed over the past couple weeks watching bribery and coercion in the worst way being used by democrats to pass this obviously bad bill.

Furthermore, the fact that it comes from a member of Obama's unofficial state run MSM lends even more weight to the fact that Americans on both sides are ashamed and embarrassed by this behavior, and are dead set against the Health care bill to boot.

At least in this form and being unfunded, particularly from this obviously untrustworthy and actually criminal 111th congress time and history will determine .

Quite a disparity there again from a poll coming from State Media SEE BS  dontcha' think?  Not to mention this must very disappointing I'm sure to Nancy Pelosi and Obama, who may have to sit down in the Oral Office and have a good cry over the fact that their "Marxist healthcare baby" isn't as popular as they hoped, expecting ticker-tape parades to break out across the land.  And certain induction to the liberal lunatic fringe ideologue Hall of Fame or shame .

CBS News: "A CBS News poll released Wednesday finds that nearly two in three Americans want Republicans in Congress to continue to challenge parts of the health care reform bill.

The Senate version of the legislation was passed by the House Sunday night, and President Obama signed it into law on Tuesday. The House also passed a separate reconciliation bill, which cannot be filibustered, that is now being debated in the Senate. That bill would make changes to the bill already signed into law.

Senate Republicans are now challenging whether the bill is truly a budget reconciliation bill (which is what makes it filibuster-proof) and inserting amendments designed to slow down passage. Republican attorneys general are also planning to challenge the constitutionality of the law.

The poll finds that 62 percent want Congressional Republicans to keep challenging the bill, while 33 percent say they should not do so. Nearly nine in ten Republicans and two in three independents want the GOP to keep challenging. Even 41 percent of Democrats support continued challenges."

I dunno why he's including himself in this group that ran ramshod over the majority, albeit not a HUGE one but one nonetheless who want nothing to do with this. Should they continue and follow through, talk about a made for TV ad against the dems in the fall.

Illinois Dems Could Sink Obama's Health Bill

NBC Chicago: Three Illinois representatives -- Luis Gutierrez, Melissa Bean and Dan Lipinski  -- could sink President Obama’s health-care bill.

The three Democratic congressmen are among the throngs of legislators who were on the fence about the signature bill of the President’s first term. At least two of them have signaled they’ll vote against it.

Gutierrez wrote on Huffington Post Chicago that he couldn’t support a bill that denies immigrants the right to purchase their own coverage.

“It was one more in a string of disappointments for the Hispanic community, and today, I no longer find myself able to confidently say "yes" when President Obama asks me for his support,” Gutierrez wrote, signaling that he’ll vote no.

Melissa Bean was less direct when questioned about her leanings.

“Since I’ve been in Congress, I’ve heard repeated concerns about rising health care costs and the need for reform from the families and small businesses of the 8th District,” Bean said in a statement after a health care battle erupted outside her Illinois Congressional office.

“I continue to listen to both sides of the debate. While many have expressed fears or concerns about specific rumors or provisions, overall I have heard strong support for fiscally responsible reform that would provide health care security, affordability and choice.”

Lipinski told Fox Chicago that he doesn’t like the abortion language in the Senate version of the bill.

“I’m opposed to the bill right now beccause it changes the status quo on funding for abortion,” Lipinski said. “I think that’s a bad idea. I think we should stay with the status quo.”  Congress is expected to vote this week on health care reform

Obama And Congress Need some Schoolhouse Rock Education on Passing Bills

Premiums are likely to keep going up even if the health care bill passes, experts say. If cost controls work as advertised, annual increases would level off with time. But don't look for a rollback. Instead, the main reason premiums would be more affordable is that new government tax credits would help cover the cost for millions of people.

Listening to Obama pitch his plan, you might not realize that's how it works.

Visiting a Cleveland suburb this week, the president described how individuals and small businesses will be able to buy coverage in a new kind of health insurance marketplace, gaining the same strength in numbers that federal employees have.

'You'll be able to buy in, or a small business will be able to buy into this pool,' Obama said. 'And that will lower rates, it's estimated, by up to 14 to 20 percent over what you're currently getting. That's money out of pocket.'

And that's not all.

Obama asked his audience for a show of hands from people with employer-provided coverage, what most Americans have.

'Your employer, it's estimated, would see premiums fall by as much as 3,000 percent,' said the president, 'which means they could give you a raise.'

A White House press spokesman later said the president misspoke; he had meant to say annual premiums would drop by $3,000.

It could be a long wait.

'There's no question premiums are still going to keep going up,' said Larry Levitt of the Kaiser Family Foundation, a research clearinghouse on the health care system. 'There are pieces of reform that will hopefully keep them from going up as fast. But it would be miraculous if premiums actually went down relative to where they are today.'

The statistics Obama based his claims on come from two sources. In both cases, the caveats got left out."

Well as they say "Caveat Emptor" which means "buyer beware", and in this case the buyers were the American people, and what was being sold was a "bill of goods" now named Barack Hussein Obama, who's the first Muslim born president and the first to have a number of aliases.

It will cause premiums to rise for those of us already insured instead of his bald faced lie that it would decrease them in double and even yesterday triple digits, something of which I reamed in this post here.So it looks as if Americans even in the year 2010 are still convinced even though they know better that there's a free lunch waiting for them courtesy Barack Hussein Obama.
