Here's one of my first posts and observations on a then potential Obama presidency in Feb 07/ I'm no prophet believe you me..... it was all common sense far too many today simply 'lack',

These people have incredible video of illegals, Armed terrorists, you name it invading the country each second of every day..
Not to mention throwing off the playoff picture sending the NFC now through New Orleans or bust.
Now I finally figured out what was wrong with this team all year, that seems to be, whenever I don't write about them before the game they win.
Simple as I usually follow the games on Sunday and when I have this year, they lost most times.
And tonight, in what most expected to be a Viking blowout, it was great to see the Bears take them into overtime, that is after blowing a 16-0 halftime lead in true Bears fashion, and then coming up with the win at home in front 50,00 mostly hammered Bears fans.
But first their normally perfect field goal kicker Robbie "Good as" Gould (I know, it's GOULD as in Elliot, but that's what we call him) missed game winning field goal on the 1st ot possession, with the Bears defense stepping back out after that, finally stopping Favre at the most opportune moment after being virtually smoked by him the entire second half of the game.
The often bumbling '09 Bears then took the field for their second possession in "OT" after a "brutally inopportune" Vikings fumble, and on the first play, Bears flop QB Jay Cutler took it 50 yards for the game winning td in one shot to wide receiver Devan Aromashadu (thats Ah- Ro Mah-Sha_doo)to win the almost 4 hour game.
Great game!
That is, unless you're a Vikings fan or all out Favre freak like Greta van Susteren from Fox news is.
Also not bad for a team that sucked all year and missed the freaking playoffs, costing me $500 at the beginning of the season that would have blossomed into a nice $15,000 payday if they miraculously won the Super Bowl.
If I put $75 on tonight's game I could have recovered my $500 :( DAMN! lol
Well, win some lose some. Lose more when a Chicago Bears fan, but not tonight.
I'd still fire that guy, Coach Lovie Smith, but that's another rant another day on that one. The links below were from the past week as you can see some people feel the same way I do, you just don't go from the Super Bowl, even a loss, to below 500 ball and expect to keep your job.

Final, Bears lose as usual and its wait til next year when hopefully management will have long launched coach Lovie Smith who blew 2 timeouts in the last 3 minutes of the game on an easily determinable instant replay where the Bears tight end Greg Olson clearly did not catch the ball...
So my new mantra for 2010 is " LAUNCH LOVIE AND DO IT NOW"
The Saints beat Atlanta by 3 points to remain undefeated and will be home throughout their stint in the playoffs which could go all the way to the Super Bowl..Imagine that.
Must be Bush's fault that NOLA is doing so well, the team at least.. Oh but Obama's spent an entire 15 minutes in NOLA since the election. He really cares a lot about those people HAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHA

With the Bears season being a wash the only thing left to do now is to pray the Eagles don't make the playoffs and possible Super Bowl with dog killing felon Michael Vick riding the bench and hope the Bears can help ruin the chances of the other teams we hate in these parts with Green Bay and next week's opponent Vikings with old Green Bay QB Brett Favre who's having an NFL MVP mr comeback season up there topping the list.
So today we have the Pack on the menu and according to a Tribune poll this morning not too many Chicago Trib web readers have too much confidence in the Bears, who do suck pretty good this year costing me already $500 I layed down at the beginning of the season hoping for a longshot payoff of around 13 grand!
But the hapless Bears fell out of contention in the first half of the first game after Brian Urlacher's season ending wrist injury. So it's been a lean year on the betting front after winning around $3000 last season on miscellaneous Bears longshot bets, 1300 on one against the Colts and another on .

Looks like the fans here and elsewhere at Soldier Field today...
Will have to wait another week at least to see Lovie Smith get "launched" for what will be a record-setting losing season for him and the Bears thanks today mostly to the play of this man, Devin Hester, who pulls in the one touchdown that turned out to be the winning one here in this picture against the worst team in the league next to them practically...(not quite, but damn close)
After the game it was determined Hester injured his calf so it of course was a costly win as they all have been this year starting from game 1 when Brian Urlacher went down with a season crushing wrist injury.
And no one was happier with the win, and watching the "reformed" defensive back turned wide out and kick return sensation than this man, who's butt is in a sling each week the team takes the field here on out. As today's timely win fortunately kept him and "his Bears" from suffering their 5th straight loss today, which would have beaten Lovie's previous "worst stretches" of which he has three spanning four games, including the streak just broken with the win.

There's no way in hell this team will make the playoffs this year as their "star"QB threw 5 picks in the game, 2 right in the end zone of the opposing team, costing them anywhere from 6 to 12 possible points including a game winner, a pass which also ended up in the hands of the victorious Forty Niner's, costing the Bears a badly needed win.
The 49's, who are led by all time former Bear great Mike Singletary, a player who saw plenty of these heartbreaking, slop filled games in his time before finally seeing the Super Bowl win of 85 . He musta' been loving every minute of this win, finally seeing a team this season suckier than "his Niner's" blow a game in the last seconds ending their brutal 4 game losing streak.
Both teams scored a total of 16 points with 5 Bears turnovers between em', so that says a lot about the skill of these two teams at this juncture of the season.....
The way this team looked the past two weeks, it'll be 2085 before they're back in the Super Bowl..

Anyhow the Bears came to play today as the Cleveland Browns left their game back home in Cleveland, the infamous Mistake By the Lake...just kiddin all you Cleveland peeps really pouring it on in the second half scoring a couple touchdowns while having 2 called back because of penalties in the same span along with some field goals from Robbie Gould who never misses inside the 50...
They also played in these gawd awful Orange Jerseys they pull out from time to time around Halloween ....why I don't know since no other team does it. I prefer the blue and white jerseys myself
They did play a little better but still shakey in the red zone than they have all season, appearing there 6 times today resulting in 2 touchdowns, a field goal, a turnover and conversely a safety when the Bears turned the ball on downs over the the Browns who then turned it into the points for the Bears..
After last weeks 45 -10 ass whooping today's victory was sweet indeed and a big win for the Bears one and only Gipper, Sweetness himself....The Late and Always Great Walter Payton, may God rest his soul...

Here's the lowdown on the Bears scoring from the SunTimes
Today against the Browns, the Bears picked up where they left off against the Bengals in last week's 45-10 loss—uninspiring, lethargic, mistake-filled football.
The Bears once again showed their inability to score in the "red zone," settling for three Robbie Gould field goals after being stifled inside the 20 three times. Soldier Field fans repeatedly booed the offense for their ineptness.
Finally, minutes before halftime, the Bears successfully scored in the "red zone" when Matt Forte ran one in from the 1-yard line, giving the Bears their 16-0 halftime lead.
Browns quarterback Derek Anderson, who had a 0 passer rating in the first half, finally put the Cleveland on the board in the third quarter with a 1-yard plunge. The Bears blocked the PAT, making it Bears 16-6 midway through the third.
The Bears got a little breathing room late in the third when Matt Forte ran in a touchdown from the 10. The play was set up by a long pass-play from Jay Cutler to Johnny Knox. Gould added the point after to make it 23-6.
Charles Tillman added a 21-yard interception return with a little more than 3 minutes left to conclude the scoring
Big Three O'clock game on national TV between the Green Bay Packers and the Minnesota Vikings who of course are now being led by their old turncoat QB Brett Favre who just fumbled the ball as I'm typing this 10 minutes into the 1st quarter of the game which Green Bay leads 3-0...
Favre as one would expect was met with some heavy booing by his old fans who used to worship the ground the guy walked on while he was up in Green Bay...
We hate him down here not as a man but as a great quarterback who's had the Bears number his entire career.
