Stepping away from the upcoming midterm elections for a moment, there is another heated competition that has been getting some press. In this case, however, the results will likely have no impact on which party assumes control over Congress.


The contest in question here is between President Obama and Lady Gaga who, according to CNN, are competing to be the first living person to garner more than 10 million fans on the popular social networking site Facebook.

According to CNN, Facebook publicists informed them that the two are currently neck-in-neck in the race to 10 million, and that as of early this morning, Mr. Obama had the lead by about a 30,000 fans.

That, however, is no longer the case. As of early this afternoon, Lady Gaga has surged past the president now claiming 9,142,866 fans to his 9,111,970.

It should be noted that Mr. Obama's page is run by the group Organizing for America, which is part of the Democratic National Committee.

CNO: Smoking ban for subs in the works ('maybe when OBumble Quits' sez I..... )

I only have one answer to this issue and were I a smoker on board a US sub subjected to this BS PC ban, I'd just show the commander this picture and say "when this man quits smoking in OUR White House, I'll quit smoking on OUR subs.

 When Barry quits, then and only then should the sailors should be forced to quit on submarines,
that's what I would say.

CNO: Smoking ban for subs in the works

Navy News, news from Iraq - Navy Times: "The smoking lamp will soon be out aboard all subs, according to the Navy's top officer.

'We're going to stop smoking on submarines,' Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Gary Roughead told Navy Times on March 23.

The move is not yet official, so Lt. Cmdr. Mark Jones, a spokesman for Submarine Force, would say only that Vice Adm. John Donnelly 'is examining the options of changing the policy of smoking in a submarine to improve the overall health of the entire crew.'

Jones would not speculate on when a decision will be made, but a final order likely will come soon. The catalyst for change is the effect of secondhand smoke on crew members who remain submerged for months at a time.

'That atmosphere moves around the submarine,' Roughead said. 'You don't smell it, but the damaging things from the smoke are still present.'

The pending decision is rooted in a 2009 environmental tobacco smoke study ordered by Donnelly that showed nonsmokers on submarines had measurable exposure to the harmful agents found in secondhand smoke.

Roughead addressed the findings, and the forthcoming ban, with half of the Navy's guided- and ballistic-missile sub skippers March 23 at a Submarine Group 10 leadership call at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Ga. Though these Ohio-class subs will soon include women in their crews - a move that has captured national headlines — the smoking ban proved to be the hot topic of discussion.

'Someone said in the course of the discussion after the [health] tests [that] they realized they might as well have just smoked,' Roughead said.

The Navy said it would not share the details of the 2009 study until a decision on the ban is made. A 2004 study to determine whether the forward or aft smoking areas minimized nonsmokers' exposure to environmental tobacco smoke said 'passive smoke exposure appears to be minimum.' The current study is likely to be more critical.

'We are able to discern what the health effects are better than in the past,' Roughead said, without specifying the latest findings."

Mark Levin on Lady Obama Calling Kenya Barry's Home Country

Yup, no kidding, she did and I hadn't even heard about this video, it's attached to a post from the Chicago examiner and Levin talked about it on his show last night remarkably. These top talkers NEVER talk about this Kenya stuff ever

It's funnier than hell, although the entire show was actually pretty funny as he opens up with Obama (who gets smoked on some White Sox trivia yesterday) and can't name one favorite player. Another great part is the actual opening through the first 15 minutes of the show with this Obama 18 minute answer to that question he gave the other day playing in the background.  It's hilarious as Obama rambles and rambles and he goes to a commercial and then comes back and Obama's still rambling and bumbling. That's why I call him Obumble.

Mark Levin via Chicago Examiner : "This may have been a slip of the tongue or the First Lady may have meant President Obama's father when she said 'his home country'. The audio could have been spliced and diced in a video chop shop. There's no denying it came out kind of awkward sounding. During a speech she gave to the LGBT community Michelle Obama referred to the African country of Kenya as Barack Obama's home country.

The comment happens at 40 seconds into the video below. As you know President Obama's father originated from the beautiful country of Kenya. Obama was born in Hawaii as his birth certificate indicates.

This video has been making its rounds around the internet but has not really gained much attention. As the economy gets stronger and Republicans have had to battle sex scandal allegations recently. It seems as if the country is starting to get used to the political games that get played by politicians.

Financial reform may have politicians fighting over legislation. I guess we'll found out next week whether it will be a big fight or a small one."  source..

China warns Obama deficit spending must stop, How does that feel America, taking orders from China?

China warns Obama deficit spending must stop:

One day after the Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao snubbed President Obama at the United Nation's Copenhagen Climate Summit, the Chinese warned the United States that China's ability to continue buying U.S. Treasury debt was limited.

Zhu Min, the deputy governor of the People's Republic of China, told the Shanghai Daily that it is getting harder for the People's Bank of China to buy U.S. Treasuries because the shrinking U.S. current account is reducing the supplies overseas.

This was dire news for the Obama administration that in 2010 and for the foreseeable future will be dependent on China to buy U.S. Treasury debt in order to fund the trillion-dollar federal budget deficits projected over the next decade.

The Shanghai Daily reported that Zhu told an academic audience that it was inevitable the value of the dollar would fall in value given the increasing reliance of the Obama administration on issuing U.S. Treasury debt to finance deficit spending. The United States cannot force foreign governments to increase their holdings of Treasuries,' Zhu said. 'Double the holdings? It is definitely impossible.'

Zhu's warning was clear.

'The world does not have so much money to buy more U.S. Treasuries,' he said.

Obama says he met with half brother while in China - (For Only The 2nd Time)

Doesn't sound like the long lost brothers who only met for the first time a couple years ago are gonna be sharing any Kwanza's or other Muslim holidays together anytime soon after the brother uses his loose connection to the Kenyan born president to cash in at Barry's expense with his autobiography about their shared father along with half of Kenya it seems...

Eventually one of these Obama's are gonna spill the beans on the real background of the PINO and that's what he's really worried about, how to keep all these people happy so they don't turn on him and tell the world the real truths. The one's like his college thesis and birth cert that are hidden with all of Barry's other most important moments in life, many that can't be verified by anyone but him and his now passed Mother along with just a couple others.

However it sounds like Obama knows the mailman here in Chicago better than this guy so gives a sh** what he has to say about anything much less their "died in a drunk driving accident" father if you can even call him that].

The Limbaugh Wire for 10/05/2009, Barack Hussein Obama MMM MMM MMM.....

I don't know if you listen to Rush daily, I happen to be a premium member so I listen to most all of them at some point during the day, and since Friday I swear I can't listen to him when he starts singing that "Barack Hussein Obama MMM MMMM MMM" song every time he says Obama's name.

It's a reference to the Obama indoctrination song of late that we and the rest of the conservative blogosphere has noted over the past few weeks since it's release...it like others has been removed from Youtube but Michelle Malkin has some stuff on it here........... more in depth than I did on my post...Gateway Pundit covered it good on Saturday as well here..

It's hilarious and must be funnier than heck because it's caught the ire of Media Matters today as you can read excerpted below .....it's a really funny clip from today's show when he explains a clip that was on the Morning Joe Program involving this BBC chickie below ....

It's F'n hilarious....later on in the clip there's also a parody of children singing the Obama song with Limbaugh's name inserted in place of dear leader Chairman MaObama.

Media Matters : "Rush got the week started by proclaiming that the media is still 'stunned' by the 'audacity of nope' in Copenhagen. Rush said that a lot went wrong for Obama because he forgot the Greek columns and the reverb on his speech.
