US-IRAQ: Generals Seek to Reverse Obama Withdrawal Decision:

WASHINGTON, Feb 2 (IPS) - CENTCOM commander Gen. David Petraeus, supported by Defence Secretary Robert Gates, tried to convince President Barack Obama that he had to back down from his campaign pledge to withdraw all U.S. combat troops from Iraq within 16 months at an Oval Office meeting Jan. 21.

But Obama informed Gates, Petraeus and Joint Chiefs Chairman Adm. Mike Mullen that he wasn't convinced and that he wanted Gates and the military leaders to come back quickly with a detailed 16-month plan, according to two sources who have talked with participants in the meeting.

Obama's decision to override Petraeus's recommendation has not ended the conflict between the president and senior military officers over troop withdrawal, however. There are indications that Petraeus and his allies in the military and the Pentagon, including Gen. Ray Odierno, now the top commander in Iraq, have already begun to try to pressure Obama to change his withdrawal policy.


A network of senior military officers is also reported to be preparing to support Petraeus and Odierno by mobilising public opinion against Obama's decision.
Petraeus was visibly unhappy when he left the Oval Office, according to one of the sources. A White House staffer present at the meeting was quoted by the source as saying, "Petraeus made the mistake of thinking he was still dealing with George Bush instead of with Barack Obama."continued

What he failed to acknowledge is that the same reporters who so greatly admire Obama’s lithe figure derided Bush for his training schedule.

Former Washington Post writer Jonathan Chait famously attacked Bush three years ago in an opinion piece for the Los Angeles Times headlined “The (over)exercise of power.” Recounting how President Bush ran 3.5 miles a day and preached more cross-training to a federal judge, Chait fumed, “Am I the only person who finds this disturbing? ... What I mean is the fact that Bush has an obsession with exercise that borders on the creepy.”

Chait argued that Bush’s passionate devotion to exercise was a dereliction of duty. “Does the leader of the free world need to attain that level of physical achievement?” he jeered. “It’s nice for Bush that he can take an hour or two out of every day to run, bike or pump iron. From Coast To Coast Friday Night, Obama Detractor Files Lawsuit Regarding Citizenship Questions and Other Obama Tidbits

A Democratic Nut  Named Philip Berg has filed a lawsuit to challenge Obama's citizenship from his unorthodox childhood and made his first appearance publicly in this regard on the often times goofy Coast To Coast Program Friday night which I listened to in it's entirety.

He is quite a nut I must confess,  a 9-11 truther who's extensive bodies of wackery can be easily viewed on the internet here.

These present lawsuit claims have been on the internet for months and months in different forms and variations, with his speculation being that the GOP was simply waiting to raise these issues in court finally after the big Obama coronation fiasco in Denver this week. 

Apparently this self confessed Hillary supporter isn't waiting around any longer and is pushing the suit now to avoid a complete Democratic meltdown if Obama is nominated and then has to withdraw if these claims can be finally proven or otherwise.

I agree with much of what the suit says as wacky as this all seems because Obama has been quite evasive as has his campaign where it pertains to proving these multiple claims to be false, especially since the campaign had the audacity to question Senator McCain's eligibility for the presidency due to his somewhat unorthodox birth circumstances that somewhat resemble Obama's strangely enoug, which the US Senate unimaously ruled to be moot and ruled McCain a natural born citizen.

Greasing the skids prior to his little European jaunt where Germany has had to put him in his place while his campaign seeks to place hime in sites of historical significance to provide his campaign presidential like photo opsto make up for his lack of such hereto fore.

Right away he disqualifies himself from being taken seriously as everyone in the world recognizes that Iraq and Afghanistan are the very center and end all of the war on terror. The very center that the liberals refuse to believe no matter that Osama Bin Laden and all other Al Queda Leaders have declared it to be the Grand Jihad of all time. Go back home Barack and spend some more time reading and learning what's goping on in the war against terror and see us again in four years.


Meanwhile we'll let the grown ups run the show seeing as our very survival depends on this situation being addressed by someone living in reality of which you and your supporters are not.

A Pandering We Will Go.....

I'm sure Obama's a real NASCAR fan, and he should be right at home (not) in that normally very conservative crowd of which I have a few cousins who travel to these races quite often.... Is there nothing these politicians won't do to get votes, nothing?

That goes for both parties as McCain has been sucking up to the South of the border vote, and he better be careful as he is really spitting in the face of we conservatives who are out here and there supporting him in spite of his liberal leanings.

You can only push us so far, but then again they are figuring there's no way in hell many of us will vote for Obama, and they are sadly correct in that assumption. But, many conservatives may stay home as threatened if he doesnt start paying attention to our agenda.

Obama in talks to sponsor car in NASCAR race: report:

Brietbart: "US Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama's campaign officials are in talks to sponsor a stock car in an August 3 race in Pennsylvania, Sports Illustrated reported on its website on Friday.

Should the deal come off with BAM Racing's car No. 49, it would mark the first time a major US presidential candidate has been a primary sponsor on a vehicle in the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) series.

Ken Schrader would drive the Toyota-powered entry at Pocono in a state thought to be a battleground for US electoral college votes in November's election between Obama and Republican rival John McCain.

The team has raced only once since March 30 in Martinsville for lack of sponsorship money and the car must qualify at Pocono on speed. BAM Racing has only six top-10 showings in 167 starts since 2002.

An announcement of sponsorship is expected on July 23 at Miami with Obama thought to be in attendance.

What is proposed to be a one-race deal, sources told the magazine, could have an option for individual campaign donors to have their name on the side of the race car for as little as 100 dollars.
