(AP) Sean Penn pleaded no contest to vandalism on Wednesday, effectively ending a case in which the Oscar-winning actor was videotaped kicking a celebrity photographer.

Penn was not present in court and entered the plea through his attorney. He was sentenced to three years of informal probation and ordered to perform 300 hours of community service, said city attorney's spokesman Frank Mateljan.

Mateljan says those hours can be completed through Penn's earthquake-relief efforts in Haiti.

Police: Ohio man hit children at store for thrill

 How'd you like to take this old geezer child predator and kick the snot out of him in spite of his "elderly" station in life. You can't escape punishment for being a  lowlife by claiming innocence due to"Depends caused insanity" last time I checked.

Police: Ohio man hit children at store for thrill:  "COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Police in Ohio say a man accused of striking children in the head with a key protruding from his fist while roaming a Walmart store did it for the thrill.

Sixty-eight-year-old Ralph Conone (kuh-NOH'-nee) was arrested at a Columbus Walmart on Wednesday and charged with assault.

Police say a mother reported that her 6-year-old said Conone hit him.

The boy was treated for a minor cut on his head. Police say his 7-year-old brother also was struck. Police say they're looking for two other children seen getting struck on store video.

Investigators say Conone told them it was exciting to hit children with their parents nearby. Conone's public defender says his client is manic depressive. On Friday, a judge set bond at $150,000 and told him to stay out of Walmarts." read more here....

I blogged about this dumb maneuver the other day and here's what I said about the women who had her fingers bitten off at the Zoo, when it took me 2 seconds to know they had to be trashed. Sober people don't do such stupid shit.

Not to mention she and her dumb assed boyfriend were probably stoned or drunk as skunks.I guarantee it.

Yet they'll probably sue the zoo and get rich, just like  those  2 Muslims who teased the tiger at the San Fran Freako Zoo at Christmastime a few years back, right up until the tiger vaulted the 8 foot fence and killed the stoned idiot, remember those 2 nimrods?

Serves them all right as far as I'm concerned, we can't legislate common sense and we shouldn't keep trying. Darwin's law eventually takes care of all that on it's own eventually.

The fence was always good enough, right  up until that drunk idiot came along, and then it's the Zoo's fault. So look for a repeat of that scene almost certainly, once a WI lawyer reads this story, and gives them a call on Monday to hit the "Lawsuit Lotto".

NBC Los Angeles: "A woman talking on a cell phone during a movie didn't take kindly to being 'shushed' by another moviegoer. Or at least her boyfriend didn't.

In a drama that turned more lively than the one on screen -- 'Shutter Island' -- the boyfriend allegedly attacked and stabbed the 'shusher' in the neck with a meat thermometer. Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said the stabbing occured Saturday during a screening of the Martin Scorsese film.

Duke lacrosse accuser charged with attempted murder, arson

Kane Kellett Of McHenry County Flips Off Judge, Goes To Jail

cbs2chicago.com: "If you flip someone off in traffic, you might get angry stares or a nasty honk of the car horn, but if you do it in court, expect much more severe consequences.

A McHenry County man found that out the hard way.

The Daily Herald reports that Kane Kellett, 24, raised his middle finger while he was being sworn in to face home invasion charges. He also hurled profanity at Judge G. Martin Zopp, the Daily Herald reported.

Zopp promptly gave Kellett six months in jail for contempt of court.

Kellett is also charged with aggravated battery and assault. He is accused of attacking two people, including a pregnant woman last month in Crystal Lake.

He is accused of punching the woman in the face and kicking her in the ribs after she fell, the Daily Herald said. Kellett's other alleged victim is a 23-year-old man, whom he is accused of assaulting with a flashlight, the Daily Herald said.

Kellett was on the McHenry County Sheriff's Top 10 Most Wanted List and was described as 'armed and dangerous' before he was arrested Friday night."

U.S. District Judge Bernard Friedman says Jimmie Lee Fortune was an “outstanding citizen” before he turned to robbery last year.

The 29-year-old Fortune pleaded guilty in March to stealing nearly $14,000 from five banks in suburban Detroit. Prosecutors agreed not to charge him with three more.

Fortune’s sentencing range was approximately five years to six years in prison. But the guidelines are not mandatory, and the judge settled on two years today.

Fortune says he robbed the first bank to fix his mother’s plumbing and get his driver’s license reinstated. He says he continued robbing banks because he was “stressed.”

Why didn't anyone ask this bum why he lose his license, a little drunk driving or substance abuse perhaps? I know, I've been there done that many moons ago as most close readers know.

Pennsylvania 911 Carjack A HOAX, Mother And Child Found Safe

Turns out this woman used the "Susan Smith, scary black man" story calling 911 yesterday claiming she was in the trunk of her own car being held hostage with her own daughter which of coarse the media jumped all over basically lapping up every bit of the story for the past 24 hours as most of us who follow the news are well aware.

She was found living it up at Disneyworld in Orlando with her young daughter after the bizarre phone call generated national interest within minutes being tweeted and blogged as an actual abduction right out of a HBO made for tv movie, and her motivation can only be speculated on at the moment.

However I'm pretty certain we won't be stretching it too much when we call this woman another one of our modern day attention seeking wackjobs and we can also be certain a boatload of bull will be on the agenda

Bucks County District Attorney Michelle Henry said 38-year-old Bonnie Sweeten of Feasterville was taken into custody in Florida Friday night. Henry said Sweeten's 9-year-old daughter, Julia Rakoczy, was with her.

Henry said Sweeten used a co-worker's driver's license and presented it as her own when she bought an airline ticket and flew to Orlando, Fla. on Tuesday. She also used the license to check into the Grand Floridian Hotel at Disney World.

The girl's father, Tony Rakoczy, will pick her up, Henry said."

Tony Rakoczy, Sweeten's ex-husband and Julia's father, will pick the girl up, Henry said.

A security camera reportedly showed Sweeten and Rakoczy at Philadelphia International Airport, just hours after Sweeten made at least two 911 calls by cell phone saying she was locked in the trunk of a dark-colored 1990s Cadillac.

"It's a terrifying thing for a local community to hear that allegedly two black men in a Cadillac took a woman and her daughter," Henry told reporters at a press conference Wednesday night.

"The fact that she would accuse anybody of doing something ... was a total fabrication on her part," Henry said.

The case was cracked because a combination of factors didn't add up, she said.

Investigators uncovered that Sweeten allegedly was involved in stealing about $300,000 from her former employer, an attorney in suburban Philadelphia, ABC reported.

Detectives and reporters had been puzzled by holes in Sweeten's story, and FBI spokesman J.J. Klaver confirmed earlier Wednesday the existence of "inconsistencies" in her account of the accident and abduction. But he declined at the time to elaborate and said those aren't the focus of the investigation.

Sweeten had told emergency dispatchers that she and her daughter were snatched in the middle of the day Tuesday by two men who rear-ended her SUV in suburban Philadelphia, according to police.

When investigators arrived at the scene, they found no evidence of the crash and the FBI and local police found no witnesses who saw the accident that the missing mother described.

And although Sweeten said the accident took place in Upper Southampton Township, a suburb of Philadelphia, Klaver said authorities discovered her 2005 GMC Denali SUV on Wednesday in Center City, 40 minutes away, along with a parking ticket that indicates it was there about 20 minutes after she dialed 911.

The 911 calls were traced to downtown Philadelphia, about 20 miles from the site of the reported fender-bender and abduction. One was picked up by a cell tower only two blocks from where Sweeten's car was found.

Tony Rakoczy had said earlier Wednesday that the sequence of events didn't add up.

"I don't think it makes any sense, the timeline and everything else," Rakoczy told FOX News.

Sweeten has two other daughters, an 8-month-old with her current husband and a 15-year-old from a previous marriage.

Sweeten's oldest daughter Paige wrote on Facebook, "I'm asking everyone, to please pray for my mom and sister."

Nail Painter Kills Woman Motorcyclist Miles From My Home

This what I refuse to call it an accident but instead outright murder with deadly weapon occurred over the weekend at a somewhat rural intersection just 3 miles north of my home in Lake County Illinois, and as far a I'm concerned the nail painter should be charged with not vehicular manslaughter but outright murder for considering her nail painting more important than the life of another motorist, simple as that.

Sorry ladies but this activity as well as the constant face painting I see in the mornings in traffic is absolutely unacceptable. Get that shit done at home before leaving for work or whatever before you become the next killer like this woman.

CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: Chicago Crime: "After his girlfriend left him last November, Michael Cheney turned on the gas in his Buffalo Grove home. As he waited to die, Cheney, 41, called friends to say he was committing suicide. They called 911.

When Cheney heard the sirens, he flicked a cigarette lighter and the gas exploded, blowing out windows and part of the roof. Cheney survived but suffered burns on his face and body and was hospitalized until January.

Cheney was charged Friday with residential arson, which carries a prison sentence of up to 15 years. Residential arson involves setting fire to another's dwelling. Man, 84, fights off carjackers with groin kick : Townhall.com: "An 84-year-old man has a black eye, but he still has his car, after fighting off two would-be carjackers. Ted Mazetier said he stopped Wednesday night to help two men with a disabled car when one punched him in the face and demanded his keys.

Mazetier said he kicked the man in the groin and the other in the belly. The two men fled as a passer-by stopped to help.

Police later arrested two suspects for investigation of assault.

The armed pharmacist taught this lowlife piece of scum a little lesson he'll never forget, although fortunately for the bum robber he wasn't cold, dead meat as he sadly slithered away somehow with a small amount of money after being chased around the store by the armed pharmacy man and again while fleeing as unbelievable as that is.

Obviously the pharmacist wasn't a trained law enforcement man so understandably he was freaking out that he's in a real life gun battle with a lowlife robber and may have been afraid to kill him.

Now watch the people at CVS fire the guy for protecting himself and the store with a concealed weapon although the police say all shots that were fired were legal.

Teacher who survived polar bear mauling at zoo 'was depressed over job'

The woman - named only as Mandy K - was mauled and bitten by the polar bears after climbing over safety walls and swimming out to meet them at feeding time. She was saved when zoo keepers pushed away one of the animals when it attacked her.

The keepers' bravery was praised after they dragged the 32-year-old German mother out of a moat for the animals. They had to shove the animal out of the way after one of four polar bears dived into the water and attacked her, inflicting serious bites to her legs and arms.

On Monday it emerged that she is a teacher who had been driven to despair by her failure to find a job.

Her former boyfriend - identified only as Lars, the Danish father of her seven-year-old daughter - said: "She loved caring for kids and really enjoyed all the special trips that she could arrange for them like going waterskiing in summer and swimming after school.

"It really affected her when she lost her job and she just couldn't see any future," he added.

The couple separated four years ago and share custody of their daughter, who was spending Easter with her father.

Mandy remains in intensive care at the Virchow Hospital, where she has severe bite wounds.

Doctors said that there is still a high risk of infection and she remains in a critical condition.

Lars said on Sunday: "She was supposed to be joining us today for an Easter egg hunt. I don't know what we will tell our daughter."
