A same-sex softball team from San Francisco, California was suspended for having players the league said are "not gay enough."

Softball Coach Laron Charles and player Steve Apilado were two of five players grilled about their sexuality during the 2008 Gay Softball World Series in Seattle.

Both men are bisexual.

A team they beat in the run up to the championship accused them of having too many "straight" players.

The team was named "D2" and was suspended and stripped of its second place trophy.

The team has since been renamed the "Hitmen" and the players say the protestors were sore losers.

Apilado and Charles are now suing the North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance 75-thousand dollars for discrimination.

In answer to the lawsuit, the alliance posted an open letter on its website saying in part: "we represent 10,000 players who seek to enjoy spirited, friendly competition, specifically with other members of the gay/lesbian community"

Do you think the two men have a good case or do you think the Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance was right to give them the boot?

One "player was heard muttering "Hey you Straito's, you're not Gay enough, don't come up in here and steal our ass! It's hard enough to get a good gay man nowadays we don't need you Non Homo's taking our trophy studz !!"

They found that inhaling the 'cuddle hormone' oxytocin made men just as empathetic as women.

The study in 48 volunteers also showed that the spray boosted the ability to learn from positive feedback.

Writing in the Journal of Neuroscience, the researchers said the spray may be useful for boosting behaviour therapy in conditions such as schizophrenia.

Oxytocin is a naturally produced hormone, most well-known for triggering labour pains and promoting bonding between mother and baby.
