British 'Cuddle hormone' for momo's makes today's men bigger pussies than ever

BBC News - "A nasal spray can make men more in tune with other people's feelings, say a team of German and UK researchers.

They found that inhaling the 'cuddle hormone' oxytocin made men just as empathetic as women.

The study in 48 volunteers also showed that the spray boosted the ability to learn from positive feedback.

Writing in the Journal of Neuroscience, the researchers said the spray may be useful for boosting behaviour therapy in conditions such as schizophrenia.

Oxytocin is a naturally produced hormone, most well-known for triggering labour pains and promoting bonding between mother and baby.

This study is the latest of several that suggest that intranasal oxytocin seems to 'sensitise' people to become more aware of social cues from other individuals

But it has also been shown to play a role in social relations, sex and trust.

Study leader Professor Keith Kendrick, a neuroscientist at Cambridge University, said by giving the hormone nasally, it quickly reaches the brain.

In the first part of the study, half the men received a nose spray containing oxytocin and half were given a dummy spray.

They were then shown photos of emotionally charged situations including a crying child, a girl hugging her cat, and a grieving man, and were asked questions about the depth of feeling they had towards the subjects."

Of course there's many, many legit and good reasons for this type of thing, but it's always the one or two that stray from the side of good to the dark, and if this were ever used for the side of evil which it eventually will be....enough said...In no uncertain terms, mankind simply isn't responsible enough to possess this knowledge.... and that's that.

Another Report Links Cell Use To Brain Cancer?

Well, on one hand, we've been hearing this now for years with no real concrete evidence,  although, as a man who survived a brain tumor in 1987, I use the cellphone as little as possible just out of the chance they could be right, and either way what am I losing by ditching the cell to then be used only in emergencies which is my policy for the most part?

Not much I determined,  as I happen to be of the ilk who mostly thinks these things are ruining our society not because of the health threat (yet) but the social damage they do. So using that criteria and having gotten over the "cell thrill" about a decade ago, I'll play it safe thank you..

And then 5 years down the road when all these cell phone junkies end up looking like this.....

.....I and the others who do without them the best we can will be safer for heeding the warnings about something that's being so abused and misused in the first place .....and contrarily free to die by getting hit by a truck or getting cancer from eating too many Froot Loops if you get my drift.

On the other hand .....I am against more government regulation  in every area except border enforcement and  Illegal deportation, so I guess until the definitive word comes down after a large outbreak of tumors for instance, it's a choice everyone can make for themselves for the time being.  At least that is right up until the Obama Led Central government seeks to sink it's fangs into the cell phone industry, just as they have the banking and car industry.

Fact of the matter is, these warnings could very well be scare tactics to drive these companies under the government umbrella in the UK for now, or is called Great Eurabia now? But that doesn't mean anything when it comes to what this guy we're calling president is gonna do,

So I guess it all comes down to just being careful, and like all good things, don't abuse 'em and all will be well.

Daily Express | UK News :: LONG-term mobile phone users could face a higher risk of developing cancer in later life, according to a decade-long study.

The report, to be published later this year, has reportedly found that heavy mobile use is linked to brain tumours.

The survey of 12,800 people in 13 countries has been overseen by the World Health Organisation.

Preliminary results of the inquiry, which is looking at whether mobile phone exposure is linked to three types of brain tumour and a tumour of the salivary gland, have been sent to a scientific journal.

The findings are expected to put pressure on the Government – which has insisted that mobile phones are safe – to issue stronger warnings to users."   more
