Today The Hammer Falls On Mad Money Madoff, Expect de facto life and A quick death

A person like this will most certainly not thrive in a prison environment to say the least, and the way the hammer of fate has been falling lately on celebrities of both the Angel variety and the not so angelic he might even drop dead at his sentencing hearing this morning, which might make many of his so called "victims" a little happier than they wake up today.

However, you can count me among the people who aren't exactly shedding tears for most of but not all the participants, because at the end of the day everyone involved in this entire pyramid was looking the fast and quick buck short and simple. And for the most part, anyone who lost a great deal of money was part of a select group of people who thought they were better and smarter than the rest of us pee ons, and simply made money off other people's hard earned money, and in most cases never earned a hard dollar in their high society lives.

With the only exception to the rule being the far off in the distance mutual fund Joe's and Betty's who lost everything they worked for only because greedy fund managers saw big bonuses with unrealistic and suspect returns, thus putting charities and other innocent people's life savings at unnecessary risk, when all should have known this was a scheme that was more than dirty.

So those selfish fund managers also bear much of the guilt in this entire greed filled pot of gold turned to coal scheme, so lets all hope at least some hard lessons were learned all around, and next time they will all collectively keep these two age old adages in mind;

If it seems to good to be true, than the chances are, somewhere down the line it is.

And never risk more money in any one investment than one can afford to lose. I learned those two phrases in the fifth grade as did most of these people as well, so their innocent Sargent Shultz 'I Know Nothing" routine is all bunk.

So today the civilized world says goodbye to Bernie Madoff and some prison somewhere gains a new playtoy for the caged up animals and it'll be funtime and would make a great reality show called:

Reuters: "NEW YORK (Reuters) - Admitted thief Bernard Madoff will leave his jail cell and be taken under guard to court on Monday morning to hear his punishment for running Wall Street's biggest and most brazen investment scheme.

A U.S. judge is expected to sentence Madoff, 71, to an effective life term in prison during an emotional court hearing starting at 10 a.m. EDT, in which some of his defrauded investors will describe the shock of losing their life savings.

The swindler, who pleaded guilty to a slew of crimes in the same Manhattan federal court in March, will 'speak to the shame he has felt and to the pain he has caused,' said his lawyer, Ira Lee Sorkin, who has suggested a 12-year prison sentence.

'Given the enormous amount of funds he has stolen and the number of victims, the sentence is going to be very, very high,' said Paul Radvany, a law professor at Fordham University in New York and a former federal prosecutor.

The 100 or so letters sent to the judge from customers and what 10 will say at the hearing could have 'a great impact' at the sentencing, Radvany said." more

Orca's KFC Coupon Deal Screws Up The Colonel's Coup

You'd think the country was all bent out of shape this afternoon because their new communist government is marking every front door in America with GPS coordinates, or whizzing away trillions and trillions of their families fortunes now and forever for ACORN and other solelely left wing groups

No, instead what really pissed off the fat-assed masses today was a failed Orca promotion at Kentucky Fried Muslim Chicken, home of the Halal meal where the Oprah watching tubs of Goo couldn't cash in or print a lousy coupon for a piddly little free meal that consisted of a little piece of chicken and a roll.

Like I said, if you went to this website now linked on Drudge you'd a thought they all found out they we're lied to by Obama about 95% of Americans receiving tax cuts that lasted exactly a month before being revoked and spit into the filling up fast Obama Memory Hole which more resembles a black hole everyday.

Americans sure have their priorities straight. Overweight And Greedy Pigs.

I went to use my coupon today and there was a notice on the door stating that if your last 4 numbers in the bar code are 1234, the coupon is no good! Came home to try to print again and the site would not let me print another coupon.

Jay here. ALL the pdf versions of the coupons (see post below) have the 1234 UPC number. I have a call into KFC public relations about this and about whether they're going to be swamped by all the demand. Will report back when I hear.

UPDATE: More reports of KFC customers unable to redeem grilled chicken coupons. Metro New York customers do not seem to be having good KFC experiences today:

If the coupon doesn't print, consider it a blessing! the portchestoer NY store sort of honored a few before noon (2 wings, mash & no biscuit) and then told the remaining coupon holders (that were shunned into a separate line) that the chicken was gone. I eat atr this KFC regularly and was treated like a vagrant because I had a coupon; that they issued!

well we went to kfc in brooklyn center off brooklyn blvd and they also said that if any of us had the same numbers they weren't going to take them.everyones coupons end with 1234'so we went to another one got served went back and talked with the 1st place.they were only serving one per car.

I just came back from the North Lake KFC in Pasadena California, where the sign on the door read "We are not accepting internet coupons".

UPUPDATE: Scott in San Antonio says he & friends successfully redeemed PDF-based coupons. Since he says all coupons' barcodes were the same, I assume they all ended in 1234, which seems to be all you get from the PDF version.

I was able to print it no problem with FireFox. I also saved the PDF. Others who went to get it got the same coupon code. We all went to lunch together and joined the long line of other people waiting for their free chicken. We were politely served and while it took about 10 minutes for our food to be ready, we did get it and in no way felt slighted.

I guess I know what I will be eating for the next two weeks! :)

Food Inc.- msnbc.com: "LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Customers at a New York City KFC hoping to redeem coupons for a free meal were disgruntled when the fast-food restaurant ran out of its new grilled chicken, but Internet rumors of a riot were unfounded, a Kentucky Fried Chicken spokeswoman said Wednesday.

'Some customers were upset because they couldn't get their chicken, but there was no riot,' said Laurie Schalow.

Schalow said the Manhattan restaurant on East 42nd Street plans to begin honoring the coupons again Thursday after it resupplies the kitchen."

All this crap over some free chicken dinners, God please help us all even though most of the country no longer deserves your divine intervention and hand of protection any longer.
