IOC Investigating Canadian Women's Gold Medal Stogie & Brew Celebration

Michael Jordan and other USA basketball dream teamer's did the same things,  although not so "in your face" as Jordan and the Bulls frequently lighted cigars during their championship celebrations outdoors and indoors and it's supposed to be illegal at the UC....and I know as a devout fan during the Jordan era.

But it's an age old tradition in sports to smoke a victory cigar..PC out of control. Is every damn tradition under attack nowadays, everything everywhere.

Here's one pic I have right on my screensaver from their three peat celebration...

Here's Red Auerbach, storied owner of the original Boston Celtics, near the pinnacle of sports team successes smokin' a victory cigar and Jordan right on the cover of Sports Illustrated....

.

No one said "Jack". Again it wasn't on the court and yes, they're supposed to be ladies and for some reason ladies can smoke cigarettes but not cigars without causing a stir even at a bar much less on worldwide TV, and yes the kids are watching this and that's the biggest thing.

And they also chugged a couple beers I guess.... dumb yes, the end of the Olympics? No.

here to view a slideshow of the celebration.)
But you know what, these people just accomplished their entire life dream at this moment. Cut em some freakin' slack for not thinking of the world's children for 5 seconds.  I'm sick of parents allowing their children to make celebrities and sports figures their "heroes" in the first place..
IOC to investigate Canadian women's hockey team for celebration

Fourth-Place Medal - 2010 Olympics Blog - Yahoo! Sports: "The International Olympic Committee will investigate the actions of Canadian women's hockey players who celebrated their gold medal victory Thursday night by swigging beer and smoking cigars on the ice in Vancouver.

A number of players, including 18-year-old superstar Marie-Philip Poulin, were drinking alcohol on the ice following the team's 2-0 defeat of the United States. (The legal drinking age in British Columbia is 19.) Players lingered for more than 70 minutes after the awards ceremony reveling in the arena, which was empty except for media and arena staff. more
