McCain Beat This Down Earlier, Now The White House Takes A Whack

That would be in regards to the counterculture memorial the Dhimmocrats wish to blow 1 mil or so of our money on in Woodstock New York, to commemorate the monumental acid and filth infested hippie fest back in '69 that many would argue marked the biggest drug filled gathering ever put together on the planet earth. A memorial that John McCain alluded to in the debates earlier in the week, where he amusingly indicated that "He was tied up at the time", which of coarse he most certainly was, at the Hanoi Hilton (Hoa Lo prison in Vietnam) that is as a POW as most of us are well aware. So this is what's really important to the Democrats, a memorial to their biggest collective moment in U.S. history, a art & rock festival as they called it that even though a great musical achievement in Rock & Roll History in many ways, we now know was really nothing more than an excuse for a rock concert enabling a half a million drug users and abusers to spend the weekend getting stoned beyond recognition to piss off their parents and the establishment for the most part.

All according to them in the name of the war and supposedly ending it. Yeah right, the war a liberal democrat started and a disgraced republican had to end they wish to take full responsibility by rewriting history, just like they are doing with this guy and woman who were tied up during the war as well, having sex in the back of a VW bus somewhere probably around the time when this well known snapshot was taken..

Bush questions Hillary's $1 million Woodstock pork:

WorldNetDaily: "The White House is challenging the fiscal priorities of senator and Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, in light of the $1 million she wanted the federal government to spend on a project critics characterize as 'a taxpayer-funded LSD flashback.' The issue is the $1 million in federal money backed by both Clinton and New York's other senator, Chuck Schumer, to create a memorial for the 1969 counterculture music festival Woodstock in upstate New York.

'I heard that Woodstock was quite a cultural event,' Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and a candidate for the GOP nomination for president, said this week. 'I happened to be in prison at the time,' said the former Vietnam prisoner of war. 'Though I wasn't able to see it, I understand that it was quite a pharmaceutical marvel. But let me tell you, I don't think we ought to be spending 1 million of your tax dollars to have a museum there.'"

Thanks John neither do we...

He compared the spending proposal by Clinton and Schumer to an earlier plan – later abandoned – to spend $229 million to build a bridge to an Alaskan island with a population of 50.

He called it an example of a broken and corrupt system.

At a White House news brief, WND correspondent Les Kinsolving raised the issue for the administration branch to consider.

"Sen. McCain said that while he is sure Woodstock was a cultural and pharmaceutical event, no one who supports spending $1 million for a Woodstock memorial, as Sen. Schumer and Clinton have, should be president. Does President Bush agree or disagree?" he asked.

"I think the president would disagree with that earmark," said his spokeswoman, Dana Perino. "It's not a good use of taxpayer dollars." continued

No it's not. It is however a perfect example of the left self centeredness. They wish to honor a rock concert at Woodstock and yet denigrate and berate a US General in front of Congress during wartime, and also ignore a Medal of Honor Winner all at the same time!!

They support the troops but not the war, remember!
