The Edwards campaign also believes apparently that free speech comes in two flavors in the two Americas as well, what they happen to approve of and don't approve of. This is a very typical liberal stance on the freedom to speak ones mind America is finding out more and more with this campaign and this year old ineffective left wing congress. One that has failed to deliver any of it's campaign promises whatsoever and therefore has to misdirect their energies at attacks on a lame duck president and wildfires raging in California this week.
In their world the left is free to say and do whatever it pleases, including hurling epithets, insults and downright threats at conservatives and anyone else they disagree with, but reserve the right to stifle speech whenever they seek to silence opposition thoughts and arguments along with repression of facts and the truth.
Here's the latest example, coming from the Edwards campaign this time, regarding a journalism school's investigative report on Edwards' choice for his campaign headquarters:

Edwards' staff tussles with UNC journalism school
A UNC-Chapel Hill journalism professor said John Edwards' presidential campaign tried to kill a student's video story about his campaign headquarters.
Associate Professor C.A. Tuggle said two top staffers for the former North Carolina senator demanded that the school drop the segment from the student-run television program "Carolina Week." They also asked to have the video removed from the YouTube Web site.
Tuggle said they threatened to cut off access to Edwards for UNC student reporters and other student groups if the piece aired.
"My gosh, what are they thinking?" Tuggle said. "They're spending this much time and effort on a student newscast that has about 2,000 viewers? They're turning a molehill into a mountain." continued
Reporter Carla Babb shows how UNC students feel about John Edwards' Campaign Headquarters being based in Chapel Hill, NC. More on the story here...
