"Obama will turn the entire US into the south side of Chicago" - Chicago Ray
God Bless America...
Coming from Buffalo Grove IL, 20 miles NW of King Richard Daley's
Fiefdom AKA Chicago,Illinois,USA the land of the free because of the brave..
Here's one of my first posts and observations on a then potential Obama presidency in Feb 07/ I'm no prophet believe you me..... it was all common sense far too many today simply 'lack',
George Mason explained, “(T)o disarm the people (is) the best and most effectual way to enslave them.” Noah Webster elaborated: “Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed
These people have incredible video of illegals, Armed terrorists, you name it invading the country each second of every day..
FOXNews.com - Chicago Mayor Daley Opts Against Re-Election, Opens Door for Rahm: "Longtime Chicago Mayor Richard Daley announced Tuesday that he will not seek re-election, a stunning decision that apparently ends a political dynasty that dominated the city for more than a half century and paves the way for Rahm Emanuel to chase his dream job.
Emanuel, the White House chief of staff, once told Fox News that if Daley, 68, didn't seek re-election, he would likely throw his hat in the ring, raising the possibility that his days in the White House are numbered.
'That's a job I really want,' Emanuel once told Fox News' Bret Baier.
The White House had no immediate comment.
Daley was first elected mayor in 1989, following in the footsteps of his father, who died of a heart attack while still mayor in 1976 at age 74
This man Rahmbo Emmanuel mayor of Chicago? LOLOLOL. Yea right.
IF the media and lefties have their way perhaps, but my guess is some big name republicans and not local ones might take a chance with Daley gone and finally out of the picture, we can only hope and pray.
This is more likely because he and other long time dems 'see the writing on the wall', and the ones' who aren't already headed to prison are looking to bail out on their own terms, instead of being sent to the rack or the gallows by the new ruling "TEA PARTY" for all the thievery and deceit we've all caught onto in a big way, mostly thanks to FOX News, right wing talk radio, the net and we bottom of the food chain bloggers for the most part.
I surely hope in that way 'retirement' isn't the end' for this administration, while admittedly Daley did some good things, his graft is 'world renowned' in anyone's bio, although 'his graft' wasn't really to personally enrich himself but others and to make the city into what "He" thought was better.
His time to 'cash in' comes now he's hoping I bet. He's made it through without going to prison yet so he's outdone the past two Illinois governors, that's for damn sure.
And while his kids are alright seriously, (one a soldier) I'm damn glad they're not standing here in line with their hands out looking to 'move in' to the Mayor position, as Todd Stroger did in the Crook County Board when his crooked assed 'pops' croaked in office. Like perhaps Michael Madigan or Rham Emmanuel are licking their 'choppers' right now to run for this job, but neither will win.
Just take a look around the country and tell me blue state after blue state bankrupt is an accident? Don't bank on anyone believing that line of bull because it's no accident. And even the left can see it when they can't work or so on as well.
Not in this lifetime for Emmanuel is my bet, and no one really even knows who Michael Madigan is even though he for all intents and purposes runs Springfield's demo circus. And frankly, I think America and Chicago have had enough of all three men, and mostly democrats for this generation at least, God willing.
This is nearly identical to the outcome of the Stuart Libby fiasco it now turns out although he, Libby, was convicted of 4 supposed lies or perjury committed also during a trial for something Richard Armitage did... and I among many others don't think they, the federal government, proved a thing against this man Blagojevich.
Don't get me wrong, I didn't vote for the man, never would, and he's definitive slime, but they sure fell 'a country mile short' of what they advertised when taking him down a while back one morning, dramatically arresting him at his home after weeks of media jousting, and the excuse from Pat Fitzgerald was they 'jumped' when they 'did' because it appeared he was about 'to do something illegal'.
WHAT? Yes indeed, that was their line, because the public you'll remember was infuriated this scenario wasn't allowed to play out and suck Obama down with it, were it to have been taken to it's logical conclusion, the fulfillment of the actual bribes being concocted by the Obama, Blago, Emmanuel triumvirate that were supposed to be the basis of the entire case.
Remember, Partick Fitzgerald said this was 'corruption that's making Lincoln turn over in his grave".
As it turned out this was nothing but a 'morning at the office' for Obama and the boys as the only time he's NOT lying is when his mouth is shut like most [d] and many [r] politicians.
The feds obviously moved prematurely to protect Obama and nothing more, and this apparent NON VERDICT proves it. All charges were garbage and all they end up getting him on is lying during the investigation.
Just think what they can do to you and me if they can do this to a democratic governor who got in the way.
Blago guilty on one count: Lying to the FBI
"Update: A federal jury today convicted former Gov. Rod Blagojevich of one count against him: lying to the FBI. The jury was deadlocked on the other 23 counts against the former governor, and all four counts against his brother.
The jury in Rod Blagojevich's corruption trial has reached a verdict, and Blagojevich and his brother are in the courtroom awaiting the announcement after being summoned by U.S. District Judge James Zagel.
Blagojevich and his wife Patti arrived at the courthouse around 3:45 p.m. Their attorneys, Sam Adam and Sam Adam Jr., were already there.
'God bless you, God bless you, I didn't let you down,' Blago said as he shook hands with admirers. He also high-fived spectators.
Patti laughed as Blagojevich kissed her on the cheek.
As he entered the courtroom on the 25th floor, he said: 'How are ya' doin'? Say a prayer for us.'
Robert Blagojevich arrived with his wife and son around 3:55 p.m., waiving to people and reporters gathered in the lobby.
U.S. Atty. Patrick Fitzgerald and Robert Grant, head of the FBI in Chicago, were also in the courtroom for the announcement.
Gonna watch this from a relative's condo at Lake Point Towers Sunday downtown, which I do almost every year, so that should be cool. It's gonna be a smokin' weekend calling for 90's both days so it's really sweet to catch indoors 20 stories up over the Lake :(.... Starts at 11 which means leave about 4 hours ago....lol
Vince Vaughn is supposed to sky dive with these men, the Golden Knights, last year it was Bill Murray.
Let's not forget to keep an eye on the older loved ones of ours and don't forget those pets either :)
Pic from great friend Wisco Dave this morning ....
But still this thing will draw millions over the weekend total despite the concrete jungle heat, it does every year, as it's actually one of the most heavily attended, free, public events in the world, that is a fact Jack.
It used to be around the fourth of July the way I remember things yet I couldn't confirm it, then one summer it seems like they moved it to later in the summer to August for some God forsaken reason, when it's 400 degrees on the pavement in most of the city ...
Perhaps it's always been in August but I remember as a teen going down there earlier for this thing, but I could be wrong, although I doubt it ;) lol
Chicago Air & Water Show: "The Chicago Air and Water Show presented by the City of Chicago and Shell Oil Products U.S rocks the lakefront August 14-15, 2010 for the largest FREE show of its kind in the United States.
The U.S. Navy Blue Angels and U.S. Army Parachute Team Golden Knights will headline the 52nd Annual Chicago Air and Water Show along the lakefront from Fullerton to Oak Street, with North Avenue Beach as the focal point. New time this year; the water and air portions have been combined for one continuous show beginning at 11 am and ending at 4 pm both days.
This I saw being done in New York City's display, which was on 4 separate barges, although Chicago went as far as to split the fireworks into three littler sections of the lakefront, north, south and the 'loop' or 'downtown' area, which seemed to work out better than having 2 million people jammed on North Avenue beach and Grant Park, which used to be the 'drill' until last night.
And whaddaya know?
Not one report of any crime or killings for once. Lets say this idea kept everyone in 'their little part of town' is about what it amounted to. And it worked better for everyone except the price I'm sure but hey, what the hell, why not 'blow it all' since Illinois is just about as bankrupt as a state can be, next to California, and I'll give you ONLY one guess what the common denominator besides bankruptcy is.
Gimme an "I"....gimme a couple 'L''s... you get the picture.
This was a pic from the North side show...
This one from the South Side.... I think you start to get the picture as to why they were enjoyed by all in their 'respective' neighborhoods......lol....
BTW, read about Illinois' 'pending collapse under liberal rule', just like every other major urban American city being run into the ground thanks to their 'kow towing' to illegal aliens and the 'welfare state. Either 'everyone starts pulling their weight' or this thing collapses soon for good.
Despite parking headaches and huge downtown crowds that had police turning would-be spectators away from Navy Pier by 7 p.m., many attending the revamped Chicago fireworks gave the new shows the thumbs up.
Holly Kidder, 21, of Hyde Park, awkwardly carried a small charcoal grill onto a CTA bus and then about two blocks to the 63rd Street Beach to enjoy the holiday with friends.
"I kind of like the fact that (the fireworks) are in different places," Kidder said. "It makes it nice for us so we don't have to go down to Grant Park."
Unlike past years, there were no fireworks in Grant Park. That spectacle has been replaced by the three smaller ones along the lake -- near Montrose Beach, around 63rd Street Beach and at Navy Pier.
If I were a victim of crime in Chicago since Daley's illegal gun ban took place I'd be on the phone this morning filing a lawsuit holding the city responsible for the crime for disarming citizens and thus emboldening criminals who would normally think twice knowing their intended victims could be legally armed.
Not under Daley, so now that the SCOTUS has struck it down, Daley should be struck down.
And just in time as we noted Saturday at the other blog, 13 people shot here in Chicago in one single night.!!
This means the 2nd amendment has been affirmed to cover ALL 50 STATES and ANY CITY within those states which comes down in 5-4 vote, and of course the liberals on the court stick with Daley's 'illegal side of the fence' in the ruling as they are on most issues.
By the way today is John Paul Stevens' last day.
WASHINGTON -- The Supreme Court struck down Chicago's ban on hand guns today and extended the reach of the 2nd Amendment as a nationwide protection against laws that infringe the "right to keep and bear arms."
The 5-4 decision voids the 1982 ordinance, one of the nation's strictest, which barred city residents from having handguns for their own use, even at home. The ruling has both local and national implications.
Two years ago, the high court ruled in a case from Washington, D.C. that the 2nd Amendment protects the rights of individuals to have a gun for self-defense. Since the District is a federal city and not a state, the court did not decide then whether the 2nd Amendment could be used to challenge other municipal ordinances or state laws.
In today's decision, the court said the constitutional protection of the 2nd Amendment extends to city and state laws, not just federal measures.
Gun-rights advocates have been closely following the Chicago case. They said a victory for the 2nd Amendment would clear the way for constitutional challenges to restrictions on firearms to be heard in federal courts nationwide.
The ruling against Chicago's ban had been widely anticipated.
Here in this segment of Megyn Kelley's Midday show on Fox she and John Stossel make the arguments that states with conceal and carry dramatically lower gun violence and who can argue that a criminal wouldn't look for the easiest mark it can find which of course can be found in cities like Chicago where handguns are banned and crime is more rampant than it's ever been, in the city. 6 miles north south, east, or west, gun violence barely exists.
Doh.....but not for liberals who cost Americans their lives with their ridiculous arguments that somehow taking away good citizen's handguns somehow creates a safer environment.
Like Stossel used to say in his old show: "Gimme a freaking break". Check the link below to TeresAmerica who's got a good post on this same thing with other videos ;)
A break from the daily drumbeat of sadness and often times misery usually emanating out of this often greatest of cities which has fallen down of late thanks to certain types of people in charge...but when it's on it's game there's no better place to be or people to be with.
Victory angel (Chris Walker, Chicago Tribune / June 11, 2010) Ann Mahalek, of Arlington Heights, and her daughter Abby Mahalek, 4 make an "angel," playing amid the confetti in the wake of the Chicago Blackhawks victory parade at East Washington Street and Wabash Avenue.
But, when it 'blows' it 'blows' with the best of them as losing the Olympics to a third world hellhole attests.
There are city estimates from the Offices of Emergency Management that over 2 million people showed up for this parade turned 'massive block party', basically shutting down the loop today. I wish I would have went. It's like the Chicago parade scene in 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off', I kid you not....
I'm 1000% for law enforcement, but I could out run this cop with my hands tied behind my freaking back and I'm crippled !!
And for the very first time EVER I actually believe the crowd estimates, as I've been to every major Chicago event minus the 'Obama Puke fest' (he still hasn't reimbursed the city for) and I've never seen this many people, and not one incident of violence or trouble. Not a one.
That's what I like the most. ;)
From the local NBC 5 affiliate comes this from Thursday as the team took Lord Stanley's Cup out for a little "Happy Hour" with the fans as their "CUP" Runneth over with love from the team and just about anything as loaded as most of these good folks were last night!
A lot has changed in Chicago in the 49 years since the Stanley Cup visited the Windy City, so what better way to get reacquainted than with a good ol' fashioned bar crawl?
Portions of Happy Hour were at Tavern on Rush, when Jonathan Toews, Patrick Sharp and about 10 other Blackhawks took the place by storm.
A crowd estimated to be in the hundreds gathered outside while the Hawks were packed in a roped-off area inside.
Center John Madden brought the Cup through the adoring crowd. Camera phones were firing as the Hawks poured beer in the Cup and drank from it. Source The Stanley Cup's Happy Hour | NBC Chicago
Here are some screenshots of the Hawks parade Friday morning I snapped when I saw it turn into an impromptu parade where 300.000 fans followed the last bus containing players as you can see for the duration of the parade//
An awesome scene and sea of humanity I've never seen in this city...Unreal. Saying 300-400 thousand people who apparently all took off work today for this thing..It's on every single channel on local tv.
I sure would like to see this for our soldiers when they all return home eventually as well.
For those not in Chicago the parade consisted of about 15 double decker buses which contained each of their families, practically the entire organization and all the Legacy Hall of Famers who could make it had their own bus too.
2 million people gathered peacefully in the most violent city in the world, at least not for today thank the Lord for small miracles. And thank the Blackhawks meaning NO disrespect for the Lord. I'm sure this is what Jesus would be doing today anyhow were he with us. ;)
The City of Chicago will have a ticker tape parade Friday morning for the Stanley Cup champion Blackhawks.
The parade will begin about 10:30 a.m. from North Wacker Drive and West Washington Street, according to a release from the city’s Office of Emergency Management and Communication.
A rally will take place about 11:30 a.m. at East Wacker Drive and North Michigan Avenue, according to the release. WLS-AM 890

Just look at this "my sh** don't stink" crook from Boston going to prison. Lowlifes all around us America, please wake up and smell the crude because there's grease and oil all through the political machinery in every city right to DC where Obama's got himself in an impeachable offense now on at least 2 occasions which was all over America long before BP came to be the scapegoat for government liberal incompetence.
They were on the rig the day it blew up and 10 days before. It's their fault as much as BP's.
And when the media 'really wakes up' it's 3instances of bribery now, since the Blago affair was the first which somehow the media isn't connecting together, and now we can believe that he was set up by Obama as he basically claims..
He says the Feds, but what that means is Obama.
There's only one thing we Americans should be certain of and focused on and that is 'We all need to take this country back from these incompetent and criminal traitors" this November, or it's over.
A former state senator who was captured on video stuffing bribe money into her sweater and bra pleaded guilty Thursday in a federal corruption case that could send her to prison for up to four years.
Former state Sen. Dianne Wilkerson, a Boston Democrat who was once a rising political star, entered the pleas to eight counts of attempted extortion at a hearing in U.S. District Court just weeks before her trial was set to begin.
Wilkerson was arrested in October 2008 and accused of taking $23,500 in bribes to help get a liquor license for a nightclub and an undercover agent posing as a businessman who wanted to develop state property
She faced a total of 32 charges. Under the plea deal, prosecutors agreed to drop the remaining 24 counts.
Wilkerson, 55, said little during the hearing, answering U.S. District Judge Douglas Woodlock's questions in a composed voice. She left the courthouse without speaking to reporters but later issued a statement through her attorneys in which she said she would focus on preparing for her sentencing hearing.
"I would love nothing more than to tell the story," she said. "The decision to enter this plea, though difficult, is best for my family and the community I care for so deeply.
I am anxious to get on with my life but it cannot be done..... continued AM 560 WIND News Article
What a fu**ing liar...see how democrats, even when 'guilty as sin on Sunday' still won't admit they did anything wrong, ever. If you pay attention which is hard to all this 'bad news', you'll notice they're only regretful that they were 'stupid enough' to get caught, since most have been 'stealing' all their lives, usually to the point where they forget it's even wrong.
Seriously. That's the only way something like this could be explained. How many of you women out there have ever stuffed your bra's full of cash while at work? None I'm sure.
No, she's not 'guilty'....she just wishes 'she could explain'.
That's what trials are for you dumb assed pig.
There's so many democratic politicians right now neck deep under subpoena's and guilty pleas they could form their own Union in jails across the country at this moment, no where near the scant number of republicans who've also run afoul of the law who are as much scum as their liberal counterparts.
This here is the second Black Politician in just recent months to go down stuffing cold hard cash into bra's, refrigerators, imagine how much of it is actually in safes and other places for when they all get out of prison.
Willliam Jefferson, otherwise known as "Frigidaire Willie" was just nailed finally for his little "cash stash", about 90 Gnotes worth. (Add "Clinton" on to his name and I think "we done found Slick's daddy finally!)
That's an actual 'evidence' photo from HIS bust by the way. Not what I would expect to see in a politician's freezer, a drug dealer's freezer perhaps...
Speaking of scum, Hot Rod Blagojevich started his little anticipated trial today for Jury selection, and unless he's got a bombshell to drop like Obama on tape accepting one of the many CERTAIN bribes, ( he had to have taken while in Illinois, or otherwise he would not have been trusted around these other Chicago crooks btw) you know he's headed to prison for life as well.
Stop and think about that for a second.
If you've ever seen the Al Pacino classic, Serpico, the movie about the former NYC cop who "wasn't "on the take" and was ostracized and nearly killed for it, that would be exactly how an Illinois or Chicago politician who is 'not on the take' would be treated.
Not like a "Messiah of Hope and Change" as all the 'fools' bought 2 summers ago, as they'd be afraid he would take them all down when he got to where he was going.
He would be considered an 'outsider' in this Daley Machine, because they cannot be trusted to allow into the "circle of filth and graft" if they are not crooked themselves for the reason I just explained.
In fact, most often, 'those' cops end up dead, as do 'those' politicians, be it figuratively in their careers as was the case for Frank Serpico, or 'literally', as they tried to let him get killed in a drug raid all for not taking bribes.
Therefore, Obama HAS TO BE as dirty as the rest, or he would have never been introduced into that Illinois "swill spittoon" known as Chicago Politics, which I do believe when our hoped for revolution in the fall occurs, Daley's done too, just like Obama, as people have finally caught on to what many just simply couldn't believe.
That being that our own government is as crooked and incompetent as we could never have imagined.
We all joked about it, but these people in DC and Statehouses across the country are the "crookedest" bunch Americans have ever seen.
If this was a republican doing this the ACLU and the entire kit and kaboodle on the left would become about as apoplectic over this as they were over Waterboarding killer terrorists, even the one of 3 responsible for 911 by their own admission, which president Bush to my delight told an audience last night in Michigan "he'd do all over again to save lives".
Sure sounds a helluva lot better and better each passing moment, as the Obama Romper Room Marxist Kindergarten class is failing all subjects with flying colors, while soaked up to it's neck in corruption and crude oil.
From The Chicago Tribune:
Since last week's spate of violence along the lakefront at North Avenue, Chicago police have installed security cameras and started random checks of bags and coolers for alcohol as people walk into the beach area, city officials said Wednesday.
Ald. Vi Daley, 43rd, said the random checks were started after several arrests and a shooting between Fullerton and North avenues.
Chicago police officials said the searches target illegal drinking on the beach — the cause of several recent incidents in which beachgoers and police were injured.
Daley said there is also concern about a violent element coming to the beach. She did not think the checks would need to remain in place permanently, noting they could make people uncomfortable.
But she also said police were responding to "intimidating'' groups who wreck the experience for others.
"People should be able to enjoy the beach,'' she said. "During the day I don't think we really have a problem. Everything happens as it gets darker. The climate changes a little bit.'' read more....
North Avenue Beach, Chicago Illinois..
So back to Daley taking more freedoms away because a bunch of lowlife scum were arrested for shooting at each others, not beach goer's but lowlife gangbanging scum. So the answer from a liberal is to 'choke off the liberty of law abiding citizens thanks to 1% of the population to try and catch the one percenter's in the act when they'll just go where the camera's aren't pointing just as they do in the city.
They only help after a crime, they never stop them.
And would he allow people like myself to go armed, these gangbangers would have had to duck shots coming from the 'good guys' until the cops arrived with a meatwagon if me and my buddies were on that beach that day, and I've been here a 1000 times since high school.
However, as kids our wonderful parents and other family members usually took us all to Wauconda up north as opposed to the city beaches, this one in particular, made famous in the Blues Brothers which you non Chicagoan's may remember by this scene at "Phil's Beach" cropped from the actual movie ......*check the notes after the pic...
( the boy in the blue shorts in that brief scene, that's my little brother Brent, as he was an extra in the movie by virtue of my mom and her sister going up there and bringing him a few friends on the day they were filming this by accident, when they (he and his friends) were about 12, and this is the scene he was in.
They were each paid a $100 and has pictures of he, his friend Dewey along with Belushi and Akroyd at a luncheon they had for all the extras that day, along with the uncashed check he has hanging in his home office, the kids freaked on it )
Back to the North avenue and Oak street beaches.....
This is about half of the downtown beachfront along with "Oak Street Beach" which is concrete and off in the horizon closer to the Hancock building which this beach eventually "turns into"
Yet the Oak street spot was more expensive counting parking, plus, it's actually 'concrete' which isn't too comfortable but that didn't bother all the people from hanging there every weekend in the summer months. At least it was when I was going down there with my buddies every weekend in the late 80's.
A time when you could bring beer, liquor, food, weed, whatever the hell you wanted to, until the gangbanging Latino's and Brutha's along with NeoScum white trash as well took over the city and turned into the "mexican border" for all intents and purposes with the influx of literally hundreds of thousands of illegals everywhere you turn. Mexican, Russian, Somalian, Ethiopian, Polish, Italian, although most of the Eastern Europeans got here legally since the swim is a little far for them.
It's a 200 meter breast stroke for the Illegal Olympic team which no longer exists since all the runners, jumpers and swimmers are already here sucking off the "pipe" of American generosity.
Allow people to exercise their 2nd amendment rights and all of a sudden Chicago's finest have 100,000 deputies ready to take these losers on when needed. But no, he'd rather take the weapons away from law abiding people to turn them all into easy targets and pushovers for armed scum.

Speaks for itself, and I don't care how many presidents had 'someone do it for them' as it's only been twice and both times the men weren't on vacation smoking doobs and crack while 'back in the hood' as Obama will be no doubt doing.
Why come home to city you've only lived in to get elected president? He has no roots here, He first moved to Chicago in 1984 and returned after graduating from Harvard Law School in 1991 and didnt' move into the home he's in now until a year before he ran for president.
He's been in the White House longer than the "Obama Hyde Park Mansion" that he calls "home".
Why does that offend me? Because he's not a Chicagoan, he's a Nomad who goes where his 'handlers sent him and Michelle to live. That's why, contrarily, my great grandparents, and grandparents were the first homeowners in their neighborhoods in Chicago back in 1905 and again in 1955 out to the suburbs that we're now being forced to flee to avoid the very same thing they left the city for, illegal immigrants and their neighborhoods turning into slums. 3 different generations.
Obama, squat.
Alternately his momma was out chasing drunken, philandering Muslims half way around the worldand he even had to write a damn book to figure out 'who the hell his father was". What a mutt, and he called himself that, not me.
You'll see some 'token' photo's Monday when Obama disrupts a local service in the south suburbs with his 'Million man Muslim Motorcade', but that will consume about 10 whole minutes of his weekend.
Blues lovers in Chicago have something to be excited about as Buddy Guy’s famous club "Legends" finally has a new place to call home after a decade.
The official opening date has yet to be announced because the place is up for inspection next week. The 73-year-old owner and Grammy award winner expects to be up and running soon after, reported the Chicago Tribune.
The opening will hopefully be just in time for Chicago’s Blues Fest in Grant Park on June 11-13.
"I do worry about the blues; you look around and there used to be hundreds of blues clubs in Chicago, now there are only a few," Guy told the Tribune. "So this new place is going to be a great space for music, but I can see why some people see it as a blues museum too. more at NBC5 News
This will quickly become "the place to be for Blues" as it re opens
in a couple weeks after closing down most thought "for good" a decade
ago. An opening that runs with the world renowned Chicago Blues Fest in
June as well.
At least they're planning it that way.
Should
be a fun place as anything can be downtown nowadays with all the costs
involved before you walk in the door of these clubs but it won't have a
problem filling up on weekends.
