Pensions for 131 school retirees top $150,000 each annually

Anyone with any question what's bankrupting all our state governments and federal government? Unions and their pensions of which many are greater than the Kings and Queens in Congress have voted themselves over the years. I belong to 2 unions (count em' 2 AFM and the CTU) and I'm not taking anything home ever like this for my efforts.

I won't live long enough to see any of that as if it'll be there in the first place.

Take it now and you find out how Barney Frank feels in the morning after a night of ankle grabbing bathhouse fun.

Look no further than this school superintendent for a school district where my tax dollars are pissed away each year and the $750,000 Island kingdom he's living in with other millionaires where the average Joe can't even drive their car through.

Daily Herald : "Seabrook Island, S.C., is an oceanfront community with gracious custom homes, two championship golf courses, pools, horseback riding on pristine beaches and fine dining on Low Country cuisine.

A short drive from Charleston, this is a place where, as its Web site states, 'the world rarely intrudes.'

Seabrook is a private island, meaning the average taxpayer isn't invited, but it is home to a man living off Illinois tax dollars: retired Palatine schools Superintendent John Conyers.

Conyers, 64, retired from Palatine Township Elementary District 15 in 2003, and according to public records, built a $690,000, 3,800-square foot home in Seabrook Island the following year.

He got $217,482 last year as a pension from the state of Illinois, according to the Teachers' Retirement System. Thanks to 3 percent annual cost of living increases, that's up by $33,556 since he retired.

He's one of many retired administrators from the suburbs who are among the top school pension recipients in the state.

Public pensions are the focus of intense scrutiny as Illinois tries to figure out how to pay $78 billion it owes to pension funds and as those in the private sector who aren't in line for similar pensions balk at the prospect of higher taxes to fund others' retirements."  continued at the Daily Herald

Andy Stern to Bail on SEIU, AKA Service Employees International

Perhaps Obama is preparing to shock the world and pay off his union buddy for getting him elected along with massive concerted ACORN fraud in 2008 plus 60 million dollars which if removed from the equation would have tightened the election, possibly even tossing it to McCain ready now ........

by naming Stern as the next Supreme Court Justice!!!

Strangely enough one does not have to be a judge to be named to the court. I think that's kind of a goofy rule myself, although perhaps they, our founders, were just putting more power into the hands of the people by opening the lifetime appointment to anyone the president and senate felt was  deserving of the honor I guess.

I know one thing for sure, they weren't expecting any of this to rear its ugly head so soon in our young history meaning the outbreak of new millennium red plague right here in the good old USA

Who knows what green pasture is awaiting this man, because he wouldn't be leaving his SEIU cash cow for a broken down mule nor will he be empty handed with likely one of the most sweetest retirement packages known to working for a living mankind..

Union official: Stern to leave Service Employees:

"WASHINGTON (AP) - One of nation's most politically powerful—and polarizing—union leaders is preparing to step down from his post.

Andy Stern, president of the 2.2 million-member Service Employees International Union, plans to resign, a senior union official told employees in an e-mail on Monday.

The message from the official, Diane Sosne, was obtained by The Associated Press. She is a member of the union's board and president of an SEIU local based in Seattle.

SEIU spokeswoman Michelle Ringuette said only that Stern plans to address 'speculation' that he would leave his post later this week, at the close of the union's executive committee meeting.

Stern, 59, is one of President Barack Obama's closest political allies and a major force in Democratic politics. His union spent about $60 million to help Obama win the presidency and millions more on House and Senate races around the country.

He is also one of the most frequent visitors to the White House, showing up more than 20 times last year, according to official logs. Stern has served as a popular punching bag for conservatives who accuse him of using political largesse to push union causes like health care reform and stimulus spending.

Stern saw the passage of health care reform this year, one of his longtime goals, but failed to win legislation making it easier to organize unions."

All teachers fired at Rhode Island school

Good, it's about time they stood up to these unions, and all other states and urban cities should follow suit as inner city education doesn't even exist anymore. For many of the students it's just a place to hang out, deal drugs and kill time before they end up in prison or dead or both.

They're not schools even for the kids who wanna learn, in fact I suggest all the school boards take a couple hours to watch the movie "Lean On Me", based on the story of Joe Clark, the principal who spoke loudly and carried a bat around the hallways and took shit from no one and that included students parents and crappy teachers.

That's about the only way to run schools that have this magnitude of problems with the teachers and the students. You take the trash out for good from both groups,  and make the school campus's a better environment for both teachers and the students who wanna learn. Then, like Joe Clark, you see who the "sucky" teachers are and then warn them.

Warn em again and they get fired. See ya,wouldn't wanna be ya! Especially on the unemployment line right now in the Age Of Obama, where the only job growth is in DC.

"(CNN) -- A school board in Rhode Island has voted to fire all teachers at a struggling high school, a dramatic move aimed at shoring up education in a poverty-ridden school district.
In a 5-2 vote Tuesday night, the board approved the plan by Frances Gallo, superintendent at Central Falls School District, to discharge the teachers, administrators and other personnel at Central Falls High School.

The firings, which will be effective at the end of this school year, came after the district said it failed to reach an agreement with the teachers' union on a plan for the teachers to spend more time with students to improve test scores. more
Good, that'll show that group and again, hopefully others will have the balls to take on these out of control teacher's unions.. I'm don't want to hurt the teachers who give their all or as close to it as they can each day FOR ONLY HALF THE YEAR......but just like in life and especially at airports around the world, the bad apples ruin the damn pie.

Here on the other hand is one of the hero's that not only shows up for work everyday, but also saves lives as he singlehandedly took down the Littleton school shooter. And, perhaps if they put all teachers through gun safety courses and armed them all with Uzi's, the shootings in schools would stop tomorrow!

Watch CBS News Videos Online

Especially when all the teachers are armed and dangerous just like the shittiest students you can locate.. they like easy targets, they look for the easiest target they can find and gun free zones like schools are a shooting gallery and target rich environment.  You don't  need a PHD to figure that one out.

Ohhbut noooooo. the Loony libs wouldn't allow it because they own these schools through the unions and they don't do anything they don't want to.
