American Patriot's Anger Reverses Pearl Harbor Day Calendar Omission

We posted this yesterday, and all it took for it to be rectified was for WorldNet readers to sound off, of which I'm proud I was one and encouraged others to do the same to turn this seemingly insignificant thing around.

One day.

And again noise works. See below

"In the wake of WND's exclusive coverage revealing the absence of Pearl Harbor Day from American-made calendars, two major publishers are doing an 'about face' and will now include the day of remembrance in its 2011 editions.

San Francisco-based BrownTrout Publishers, the largest calendar publisher in the world, tells WND it will now include Pearl Harbor Day starting with next year's publications.

'We have gone back into our files and added Pearl Harbor Day and never intended to offend anyone,' said Wendover Brown, publisher of BrownTrout. 'All other citations on the grids are being reviewed and revised. We never meant to offend with our products nor promote a political agenda.'

Just hours before BrownTrout's announcement, a Colorado-based company indicated it also was adding the American event to its 2011 calendars."   more

PC Gone Amock Cause "Obama Fried Chicken" Sign To Be Cut From Rap Video?

This New York piece somewhat traipses into choppy waters here even making the suggestion this sign was blacked out of the video by the Censor Police over at MTV which they should just call "O TV" after this, a rap video that likely contains all kinds of offensive language and behavior deletes this "Obama fried chicken" reference.

Which by the way happens to be a real restaurant in the real world of some opportunistic entrepreneur who claims 4 out of 5 New Yorkers give the thumbs up to "Obama Fried Chicken" name he's given his little Halal Food and Chicken Shack.....

Here it is in all it's glory, a chicken joint with it's own ATM and looks like they might be dealing and dabbling in other areas as well out the back doors but I could be wrong ..(right), also notice the "Halal food" all the way to the left....that's "Muslim Kosher Seal Of Approval For Killers" basically, for those who still don't believe Obama's a Muslim.

Perhaps the country would be better off if Obama actually ran this chicken joint or something similar where real people buy real stuff before being elected the president of the United States...No?  Why doesn't that offend anyone besides me and some other bloggers and our reading friends....
NBC New York: "A recently released music video for 'Popular Demand' by the Clipse featured the awning of the infamous Obama Fried Chicken joint in Brownsville, Brooklyn. But in comparing versions of the video airing on MTV and elsewhere, it looks like the TV channel completely erased the restaurant's name from the awning in the video's opening shot.

Brokelyn, the Brooklyn blog that first reported the editing, notes it could be one of three possible reasons: copyright law, MTV advertising policy, or a more political decision that keeps MTV from dealing with the repercussions 'from blaring 'Obama Fried Chicken' across American TV screens.'

Back in April, City Councilman Charles Barron led a protest outside the location with citizens 'outraged by [the] racist connection to Barack Obama and fried chicken.'

The restaurant manager fired back and said it was a tribute to the president, noting four out of five customers support the name."  continued with the actual videos etc....

How Screwy?....'Seinfeld' joke gets man canned for harassment

This is what our world is coming to and this is why I work for myself and never intend to return to the regular 9-5 work force until the PC police are disbanded and sent packing from this world today ....screw em I say.

Real sexual harassment is indeed a troubling situation for any woman in the workplace, yet in this man's opinion....

THIS JUST DOESN'T CUT THE MUSTARD........

This is the pertinent Seinfeld episode in question in the story below... and the so called harassment stems from a quote rendered by Jerry to the others to say "You're SO Good Looking" in replacement for "God Bless You" after sneezing .

This subject is broached after George gets in some heat for saying this to a married woman at a dinner which in turn angers her husband and injects George into an affair with the unhappy woman.....

DesMoinesRegister.com | The Des Moines Register"A Cedar Falls man who repeated a gag from the 'Seinfeld' show while at work has been fired for sexual harassment.

It's the second case of an Iowan being fired for harassment stemming from an episode of the popular comedy series.

In the most recent case, John Preston and several of his co-workers at the Brain Injury Association of Iowa attended an outdoor retreat in July 2008. During the event, one of the female workers told her colleagues that whenever she or her husband sneezed, the other would respond by saying, 'You are so good looking.'"

For the rest of the retreat, Preston and other workers adopted the routine. It was derived from an episode of "Seinfeld" in which the characters use the phrase "You are so good looking" in place of "God bless you."

According to a subsequent report by the association's executive director, Geoffrey Lauer, part of the retreat was held in an area near fields of blooming plants. "As a result, there was a somewhat higher than normal incidence of sneezing by agency staff," Lauer wrote.

A week after the retreat, Preston allegedly sent the female worker who initiated the joke a series of e-mails in which he reiterated that she was good looking.

The woman complained to her superiors, and Preston was cautioned about such comments. A few weeks later, Preston allegedly stopped the woman in a hallway at work and massaged her shoulders while speaking to her. That generated another complaint, and early this year Preston confronted the woman at a work-related event.

Preston was then fired for sexual harassment. At a hearing last week on Preston's claim for unemployment benefits, his attorney, Bradley Strouse, questioned Lauer at length on the origins of the "good looking" remark.

"It was, in fact, a 'Seinfeld' reference?" Strouse asked.

"Yes," Lauer replied.

Preston testified that he meant no harm by repeating the phrase. "It was just a continuation of that joke," he said.

He was denied unemployment benefits.

The case is similar to the 2004 firing of Ronald Knight, who worked as a manager at the Fareway grocery store in Shenandoah. Knight allegedly told a female subordinate that he had heard she was drunk and running naked through the streets the previous night. He also implied that her forgetfulness was due to lack of sex, and he telephoned her at home and asked what she was wearing.

Knight claimed that he was simply repeating comments heard on a "Seinfeld" show and that the remarks were made in jest. He was denied unemployment benefits.

In a 1992 Wisconsin case, Miller Brewing Co. fired one of its executives, Jerold Mackenzie, for an incident that stemmed from a "Seinfeld" episode.

Mackenzie had told his secretary about a show in which a woman was described by the series' characters as having a name that rhymed with part of the female anatomy. The woman was named Delores, and because Mackenzie was too embarrassed to tell his secretary what that rhymed with, he showed her the word in a dictionary.

After he was fired for sexual harassment, Mackenzie sued Miller Brewing Co. and his former secretary. The jury didn't believe the secretary felt harassed and awarded Mackenzie $1.5 million in damages, plus $25 million for unrelated claims. The verdict was appealed and eventually the entire jury award was set aside.
