Perhaps they could foot their own bills while out on the road, since they're getting paid double time nine times out of ten during a snow storm, and especially "twice in a century" storms like the ones they just experienced.

That's so swell to see when the country is practically bankrupt. I guarantee the snow plowing trucks that are out around here practically non stop all winter long aren't getting their meals and lodging payed for by the taxpayers.
