We won't get a ruling today but the case is being heard brought by plaintiff's Washington and the NRA.
A gun ban that's turned Chicago citizenry into sitting ducks for the gang banging scum around this city, as it has everywhere they've tried to ban handguns around the country, turning these areas into "free killing zones" for the nation's unhinged loons.
These school shooters and the likes don't get very far when they know the school they're walking into contains 50 armed teachers and a principle all trained in handgun use now would they? Same goes for the store owners or gas station personnel and the list goes on and on.
Another reason is to finally settle this 2nd amendment issue once and for all, taking it off the table for future tyrants in congress or the white house who may have their sites on somehow removing or restricting these rights, the same as the left loves to protect Roe V Wade even though Roe has denounced abortion.
This of course is the same court that recently overturned DC in Heller, so the chances
are good that after 234 years the 2nd Amendment will finally be solid as a rock.
So in closing, let's all hope and pray this hearing goes well and is argued the same, so the left has no more to say on this issue ever again, and the lid after 2 centuries of uncertainty will finally come to a close on this Amendment. As a result Americans will be "free from sea to shining sea " to take back their neighborhoods and streets from the thugs forever, and these gosh damn gun free killing zones will be a thing of the past FOREVER.

They don't represent the agenda of any national group or organize rallies. Instead they represent average Chicagoans — the kind of people that opponents of the city's ban say should be allowed to protect themselves from gun violence.'Some people want to stereotype advocates in any case, to make them look like a bunch of crazies,' said Alan Gura, a Virginia attorney who will argue the case. 'But these are plaintiffs who reflect the city in which they live.'Chicago's ban on the sale and possession of handguns has been weathering legal challenges for years. But it gained newfound attention after the Supreme Court in 2008 struck down a similar handgun ban in the District of Columbia. The court now plans to decide whether the ruling on D.C., a city with unique federal status, should apply to local and state laws, too.The lead plaintiffs in the Chicago suit decided to fight the city's gun ban for different reasons."
