Patrick Daley redeployed by Army to undisclosed location

I hate to commend people for "doing the right thing" when the choice is obvious like this one seems to be.

Still, I'm surprised Daley's Buddy in Washington couldn't get this deployment delayed.

Notice instead the Mayor angrily says his son was involuntarily redeployed from while living in Moscow!  Where are the anti war lefties on this one I wonder?  Remember how they ragged endlessly when Bush rescinded leave and the likes, and summarily extended tours which I think we're all safely against for the most part unless absolutely, absolutely necessary.

Gotta hand it to him, Patrick Daley and his powerful pops at least in this instance, for fulfilling his commitment beyond the initial call of duty as he's done. Although I'm sure it would be tough to hide, not saying they would and they didn't, especially being the son of one of the most string pulling and powerful mayoral families to ever hold power in the US.

Hypothetically though, I'm sure they could get this stopped if they wanted to. After all, Patrick's best friend from Moscow happens to be the "Taxi cab king of Chicago" and is a force in New York as well by the way.

I read that story here a couple days ago.

CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: City Hall: "Mayor Daley’s son Patrick has left his home and his job in Moscow after being summoned back to active duty in the U.S. Army, the mayor disclosed today.

“My son had a responsibility. He served fours years in the military, and he’s re-deployed. He will serve his country just like every other son and daughter in this country does the same thing,” the mayor said."The mayor made it clear that his son did not re-enlist, but was summoned back to active duty.

It was not known whether Patrick Daley was an Army reservist.The mayor refused to say where Patrick is deployed amid concern for his safety. But he did not correct a reporter who asked about Patrick’s redeployment to “a combat area.” “He has a responsibility as he told me.
