Woman wanders onto Namath property, gets bitten by Namath's beloved dog and then who get's sued? Not the one who mistakenly wanders onto his property but he and his dog....a claim he made while defending the dog who does seem to have a propensity for biting seeing this was the fourth time/
So the Labrador won't be put to death but was declared a danger, (unlike killer terrorists in our midst on military bases by the way apparently) and must remain behind a locked door when visitors are present..Only problem is he only bites trespassers according to Namath.
Joe Namath’s Dog Ruled “Dangerous,” Spared Death
It’s a dog’s life – especially if you happen to be a yellow Labrador retriever named Leo, the companion of ex-NFL great Joe Namath. The problem of being the pet of a sports celebrity is that people are constantly entering Leo’s yard. Leo, doing what comes naturally to dogs, deters them with barking, lunging and, unfortunately, biting.more
So the moral of the story is what? Again an American has to pay for the stupidity and ignorance of others, i9n this case a trespassing home health nurse at the wrong address that caused this whole event (DOH DOH), a lawn care jockey (illegal perhaps DOH), and a package delivery man... with the caging and possible murder of his beloved dog as a result of their whiny stupidity..
Ready to get off this ride yet? It's getting scarier and scarier....
Incidentally I happen to be a huge huge fan of Joe Namath as I was introduced to him as a 9 year old Jets fan, and to me then and onward he was coolest cat I ever met... right alongside Mike Ditka & Michael Jordan in 96 and President Gerald Ford who I also met a number of years ago, all at brief pre planned charity events.
