"The annual pig hunt is a big event in the north Canterbury town of Waiau and one of the highlights used to be the 'rabbit throw'. However, this year it has been canceled."I'm sorry, The Rabbit Throw? Apparently it's like Midget Tossing that sure didn't go over too well even though the small people enjoyed doing it for the attention and money but that never stopped a do gooder liberal from telling them "they didn't like it" ......So I don't know where I fall on this one I have to admit, as one commenter at the Youtube site said......"it's ok to kill 'em, roast 'em, eat'em but not to throw them when their dead?".. Kinda makes sense...
On the other hand another person says "how would you feel if they tossed your dead dog around the park for amusement after a case of beer"? That makes some sense too....Personally I can't believe this thing even lasted this long in the PC environment the world is now engulfed in just about everywhere we turn.
It seems a little strange to me, but considering these rabbits which are pretty big, look at this pic...
with over 20 plus million of them causing all kinds of diseases and physical damage to the local economy to the tune of tens of millions according to the presenters in the video, I would think they be considered most annoying if not deadly pests..
