Gee ya think MLK is spinning in his grave how far African American's have come in this country in spite of the complaining?When was the last time not one but two White TV personalities where able to rent the city of Chicago for personal congratulatory celebrations literally paralyzing one of the world's largest cities to stroke their massive egos?
I can't remember any. And Obama is a tv personality more than anything.
Chicago Breaking News: "Talk show host Oprah Winfrey has paid more than $54,000 to the city of Chicago for her block party earlier this month that closed a swath of the Magnificent Mile.
Cindy Gatziolis is a spokeswoman for Chicago's Office of Special Events. She says Winfrey promptly paid the $54,832 bill for city services.
About $28,000 went to the Office of Emergency Management and Communications for traffic control aides.
The rest went to the police department for off-duty officers, the fire department for safety officers, the Bureau of Electricity and the Streets and Sanitation Department.
Winfrey held the free party downtown to celebrate the kickoff of the 24th season of 'The Oprah Winfrey Show.'
Several blocks of Michigan Avenue were closed from Sept. 7-9."
