NFL Preseason Week 3: Chicago Bears vs Denver Broncos NFL Picks,

Tonight features pre season game 3 against the Denver Broncos who ended up on the short end with the trade made in the offseason that allowed former number one pick Jay Cutler to come to Chicago in return for veteren bench riding QB Kyle Orton, who never really accomplished a whole lot in his Bears uniform along with a couple other picks.

Most would agree the Bears came out on top of that deal so far this season .

The game is nationally televised and should be fun to watch, for the first half of the game at least as both teams get some bench players on the field for one last look before the teams thin their rosters for the regular season, which begins the week after next when the Pittsbugh Steelers meet the Tennessee Titans Thursday September 10th.

A little political partisan note.....

Last time the Bears played on NBC, left wing MSNBC loon Keith Olbermann was involved with the broadcast, and this Chicagoan turned off the TV opting for the radio in protest, so hopefully Olbermann is back hiding under his desk at MSNBC with the 2 or 3 thousand viewers he has there so this right wing extremist can enjoy the game without Obama's name being invoked.

Chicago Bears +2 (-110), Over 38.5 (-110), +120 (Moneyline)

Bears by 10 is my bet.

Not a bad guess huh?......lol Game stats and highlights can be seen here at Chicagobears.com

NFL Preseason Week 3: Chicago Bears vs Denver Broncos "NFL Preseason Week 3: Quarterback Jay Cutler returns to the scene of the alleged crime tonight as his Bears roll into the Mile High City for a scrap with the Broncos. The game is scheduled to kickoff at 8:00pm ET and will be broadcast live on NBC's Sunday Night Football. NFL Preseason Week 3: Chicago Bears vs Denver Broncos NFL Picks, Odds & Predictions at Sportsbetting.com have Denver listed as a -2 against the spread favorite.

Jay Cutler will face his old team this evening after an acrimonious NFL Preseason Week 3: Chicago Bears vs Denver Broncos NFL Picks, Odds & Predictions split with the Broncos earlier this year.

Cutler felt slighted by new Head Coach Josh McDaniels when he heard rumors that the team might be interested in then Patriots quarterback Matt Cassel. Developments spiraled downward from there and the Broncos elected to trade the disgruntled signal caller to Chicago in exchange for Kyle Orton.

Cutler, who is coming off a stellar performance in a 17-3 win over the Giants at Soldier Field (8-of-13, 121 yards, touchdown), tried to downplay the significance of his return to Denver.

"I'm not the first player to get traded to a different team," Cutler said. "I'm not going to be the last, so that's their business, that doesn't concern me."

The Broncos are probably not concerned with it either as they are presently 0-2 in the preseason with more than a few kinks to work out before the regular season kicks off in a couple of weeks.

Orton looked dreadful in his Denver debut, throwing three interceptions in a 16-17 loss to the Forty Niners two weeks ago. He did, however, rebound last Saturday with a nice showing against the Seahawks.

Denver lost the game 13-27, but trailed just 14-10 at halftime thanks to a 78 yard touchdown drive engineered by the former Purdue Boilermaker. He finished the first half 18-of-26 for 182 yards with a touchdown and one interception.

The Broncos defense remains a work in progress under new coordinator Mike Nolan. Seattle quarterback Matt Hasselbeck picked the unit apart last week, completing 16-of-23 for 171 yards and two touchdowns.

Denver is also dealing with issues surrounding wide receiver Brandon Marshall. The franchise probably wishes they had packaged Marshall in the Cutler deal after McDaniels had to suspend the childish wideout for the rest of the preseason earlier this week. Marshall, while extremely talented, has been a thorn in the side of owner Pat Bowlen since the team drafted him three years ago.

Game Trend: Denver is 6-1 ATS in their last seven preseason games off of back-to-back straight up losses.
