The New World Order delegation and it's inaugural Red Spread celebration started today in Europe and while America was sleeping, most of America, Obama was having a good old "backslapping" time in the fog capital of the world where the president's entourage was taken by surprise by the fact that it's foggy there!
Why that was an issue is that it's taken these foreign leaders and dignitaries until 2009 to figure out that these gargantuan and self congratulatory motorcades of the past do nothing but waste taxpayer's hard earned money, literally paralyzing the mostly modern cities in question and cost millions in security for a 20 minute motorcade to pass by, so they finally switched to helicopters.
Only they don't work so good when you're visiting the one city in the world known best for it's thick dense fog like London, hence the 90 some year old clothing company London Fog and the nickname Pea Soupers.
Good thing they spend 4-7 million lugging around the Presidential limo known as The Beast since the figured out they'd need to go back to the old automobile to ferry them to the already late for conference and they did it without all that security, and not to mention the 4-500 people that come with it everywhere the president goes when he travels around the world.Isn't it so nice to see that when it comes to financial sacrifice in this so called "financial crisis' the world is supposedly experiencing old time pomp and circumstance is alive and well with "The President OF CHANGE" and the phrase of the day is that same old liberal dem favorite " What's good for thee is not for me" mantra they all live by each and every day.
Hence the phrase limousine liberals that has morphed into the modern age as "Lear Jet Liberals" which in Websters dictionary next to that definition you will also find a picture of Nancy Pelosi.
With people on the ball like this no wonder we're all losing 3-4 hours of sleep at night and we won't have to worry about who answers that 3 am call because it'll probably be us.
Group of 20 leaders get to work at crisis summit:
My Way News - "LONDON (AP) - Leaders of the world's rich and developing countries sought to dispel the clouds over the world's troubled economy - and clear up divisions over how far to go with tougher financial regulation - at a crisis summit Thursday in London.
President Barack Obama, his helicopter grounded by the fog, arrived by car at the ExCel center in the city's Docklands district for the Group of 20 leaders summit. Obama smiled and slapped the host, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, on the shoulder as the two headed inside.
What by the way do you suppose would be the word if Bush was seen "slapping his new buddy Gordon Brown on the shoulder"? Oh, actually we have plenty of internet evidence for that answer seen here......
The two allies have expressed confidence that world leaders will come up with a strong agreement to address financial regulation, growth, and troubled banks. But French President Nicolas Sarkozy and German Chancellor Angela Merkel have refused calls for more government spending, and said the meeting must take concrete steps on tougher financial regulation.
Sarkozy toned down his earlier threat to walk out, and Obama could be seen chatting informally with Merkel at a leaders dinner of slow-roasted Welsh lamb on Wednesday evening."Obama has acknowledged that U.S. regulatory failures contributed to the crisis in the financial system, but urged a focus on solutions, saying "We can only meet this challenge together."
He added that differences in the grouping had been "vastly overstated" and downplayed an earlier U.S. push for bigger government spending by European governments, praising their efforts instead.
Brown foreshadowed agreement on issues including a possible $100 billion boost in financing needed to keep global trade moving, and support for economic growth and job creation. G-20 leaders are also in general agreement on a plan to boost the funds available to the International Monetary Fund to help out emerging countries.
European leaders have balked at moving beyond spending measures already announced, arguing that their more generous welfare systems mean their spending level will rise as more people get benefits such as unemployment insurance. Obama downplayed the differences at a news conference Wednesday.
Sarkozy and Merkel have tried to push regulation to the fore, calling for new scrutiny of ratings agencies and lightly regulated hedge funds. The summit will also examine ways to get so-called toxic assets - unsellable securities such as mortgage-backed bonds - off banks' balance sheet where they are impeding lending to consumers and businesses.
Some 4,000 anarchists, environmentalists and anti-capitalists protested over the summit Wednesday, and more protests were expected Thursday. Police said 86 people had been arrested in sometimes violent clashes with protesters who vandalized property in the city's financial district ahead of the summit.
Police say one man in the crowd of demonstrators collapsed and later died at a hospital. He has not yet been publicly identified.
