We're talking about a few bucks here, recession or not, a few piddly dollars.
But this happens all the time as I've talked about I am a part time 911 dispatcher here in Chicago suburbs on a graveyard shift three nights a week on top of my graphics work all week and have been for years. I've encountered similar calls while constantly battling with immigrants of all flavors weekend after weekend for stupid shit like this, but never an irate McDonald's customer, this is absolutely overboard. I've been written up a few times for unloading on an obvious idiot, one example would be one Arabic/Hindu guy who called because his cable was turned off and that's no lie.
This again is happening all too often as I wrote about this idiot who called because a place ran out of lemonade and then in the same week this idiot or shyster who was looking for some free stuff or a lawsuit when this store refused to sell him beer, while of age he was loaded and abusive to the clerk and the 911 dispatcher.
At least this woman was charged with 911 abuse by the police as she coulda' cost someone their life with her selfishness this me myself and I culture we now live in. (photo snatched from TMZ so don't complain to me all you libs)
Florida woman calls 911 3 times over McNuggets -
AOL News: "FORT PIERCE, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a Florida woman called 911 three times after McDonald's employees told her they were out of McNuggets. A police report said 27-year-old Fort Pierce resident Latreasa L. Goodman told authorities she paid for a 10-piece last week but was later informed the restaurant had run out.
She says she was refused a refund and told all sales were final. A cashier told police she offered Goodman a larger portion of different food for the same price, but Goodman became irate.
Police say Goodman was cited on a misuse of 911 charge. A current phone listing for Goodman couldn't be found.
A McDonald's spokesman says Goodman should have been given a refund, and she's being sent a gift card for a free meal."
I may be turning excessively curmudgeonly, but I believer societal entropy is inevitable. Yeats was right: The center will not hold, things fall apart.
ReplyDeleteNo your right we're seemingly going from order to disorder, time's arrow is proven here and all around us. Particularly in certain communities that we've done everything we can to move in the right direction, for example Gaza and Harlem or even much of chicago sadly have much in common in that way.
ReplyDeleteHoodrat, that's classic, I never heard that one Wembley, she certainly was a sorry assed "beech".Lie I said I;m a dispatcher and we get similar shi* all the time from the people in this city here.
ReplyDeleteI just don't understand how some peoples manage to become stupider (lol) more stupid as they progress through life,it's against the laws of nature and every other common sense assumption.
Foutsc said it succinctly, this society is unraveling like a deskinned baseball.
