From the WLS Website :Since 1985 DON WADE and ROMA, the dynamic duo of WLS, have had the greatest job in the world. They get paid to distill all the news of the day and bring it to their friends, WLS listeners all over Chicagoland and the world (via the internet). They are the longest running Morning Drive Team in Chicago. continuedThe actual interview with Blago can be heard here in three parts and actually it is quite interesting as Blago gets diarrhea of the mouth and talks about the whole scandal and truthfully after finally hearing the guy it sounds like he's getting shafted and truthfully is being strung up for crap that lawmakers do every single day. To pass bills and basic political horsetrading that's ok for everyone else, so why not him is his basic position.

Blagojevich: It's a plot to raise taxes
- Chicago Breaking News: "Gov. Rod Blagojevich, in his first extended interview since his Dec. 9 arrest on federal corruption charges, this morning characterized the move to oust him from office as a plot to raise taxes.
'This is politics,' he said on the 'Don Wade and Roma' show on WLS-AM 890. 'This is about raising taxes. Pat Quinn has cut a deal with Democratic leaders....It's all about getting rid of me to raise taxes on people.' Both income and sales taxes would be increased by May, he said.
Blagojevich did not address any of the specific charges brought against him. Asked if he wanted to apologize for anything, he said in reference to the U.S. wiretaps: 'I apologize for the profanity...If I knew they were listening, I wouldn't have used those words.'

The governor hinted he might file a lawsuit to block the impeachment trial scheduled to begin Monday in Springfield.
'We're going to do something later today,' he said. Later, it was announced that he would have a news conference at 2 p.m. in Chicago
As in his previous public statements, Blagojevich characterized the impeachment process as unconstitutional and unfair" continued
