He hasn't assisted the police one Iota since th beginning of the investigation and allowed the kids to speak, all indicative of a guilty person with much to hide most would concur.
So this announcement today has a tremendous impact and answers some questions regarding reporter Amy Jacobson's quick and final removal from her dearly loved job at Chicago NBC Channel 5 as there may have been a so called media embargo (meaning the media knows but we don't until an agreed upon time with the authorities) on this information and as a result the sneaky set up video taken of her costly trip to the Stebic home last Friday was with a man now officially named as the probable suspect in what we know now is the murder of Lisa Stebic, his wife who's been missing for 2 months now.
That unfortunately is a little different than being at the home of only a still possibly grieving husband, what he really officially is or was at the time of her visit although common sense tells most of us he is guilty of something and this will be proven shortly.
And I'm hoping by Amy herself for another local news outlet as she undoubtedly possesses much info on the case for Stebic and his sister to plot and set her up for a fall as they obviously did Friday .
Fortunately the investigation has returned focus and is back on the person who this story is and should be about. That is the murdered Lisa Stebic and not Amy as I and many others are stating over and over, and that is why channel 2 news here in Chicago did everyone involved a disservice by becoming Stebic's agent of deed by once again gobbling up he and his sisters ploy to have Amy taken out of the picture as I wrote earlier for coming too close to the prize for Stebics comfort.
However he always appears quite comfortable that his wife is missing to be having pool gatherings setting up local reporters instead of relentlessly searching for his missing wife. Almost as if he doesn't have to look because he knows where she is?
Police Name Craig Stebic 'Person of Interest' in Wife's Disappearance
PLAINFIELD, Ill. — The estranged husband of a suburban Chicago woman missing for more than two months was named a "person of interest" Thursday by police investigating her disappearance.
Police had previously been reluctant to name Craig Stebic as the subject of their investigation. He was the last person to report seeing Lisa Stebic on the evening of April 30; her credit cards and cell phone have not been used since.
Plainfield Police Chief Donald Bennett said at a news conference that authorities fear that Lisa Stebic has been a victim of foul play. Police have narrowed the focus of their investigation and "now consider Craig Stebic to be a person of interest in the case," Bennett saidThe couple were going through a divorce, but they still lived together with their two children in the family's home in Plainfield, about 35 miles southwest of Chicago.
Bennett said that Stebic has twice refused requests by police and the Will County state's attorney's office to let investigators talk to his children about their mother's disappearance
