Below is My Graphic Fourth of July Tribute to the Country and our Soldiers that work day in and day out around the world and at home to keep us Free.
And Below is This weeks Wednesday Hero Tribute
Welcome to this week's installment where all the member bloggers of Wednesdays Hero found in my sidebar and theirs collectively honor many of the real hero's found in this country who's names and bio's have been provided to us for these humble tributes by blogroll creators Indian Chris @ Right Wing and Right Minded along with HooahWife.
Many of the soldiers are those that have paid the ultimate price for our country protecting it both here and abroad from the many threats we face from our enemies wishing us and them harm, and some are not. In either case they are the real American heroes of today and we now both salute and offer our prayers to both them and their loved ones. To join us if you wish to please start by reading the post below.
Sincerely,
Chicagoray
On this Fourth Of July, a day in which we celebrate the birth of this great nation, we must also remember the brave men and women who made this day possible. To everyone who has and are currently serving in the United States Military We say Thank You. What you do day in and day out is what makes this country great and makes us proud to live here. The sacrifices you’ve made for people whom you will never meet face to face will never be forgotten. These brave men and women sacrifice so much in their lives so that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday. For that, I am proud to call them Hero.
We Should Not Only Mourn These Men And Women Who Died, We Should Also Thank God That Such People LivedThis post is part of the Wednesday Hero Blogroll. To find out more about Wednesday Hero, you can go here.
Chicagoland Fourth Balloon Festival Now World Renowned
As for my fourth plans I'll be checking this cool and fun festival out tomorrow for a couple hours provided the rain that is expected hopefully avoids the area. Then boating in WI with a neighbor at his cottage for the afternoon, back home to Wheeling IL for the fireworks visible in the backyard fortunately for me.....
Irregardless of the weather today I wish A Happy Fourth of July to all and may God continue to bless this Great Country, although sometimes and even many times by yesterday's and even todays standards we may or may not deserve it .... .:) :(2007 Lisle Eyes to the Skies Balloon Festival:
"The Lisle Eyes to the Skies Balloon Festival began 25 years ago as a way to commemorate Lisle's Bicentennial as a settlement. The first festival lasted one day and featured 10 balloons and the Fifth Dimension performing in a small pavilion located next to the swimming pool.Over the years, the festival grew gradually with new events added each year--a carnival, craft fair, food court, petting zoo and children's area. In 1990, the festival jumped the road (Short Street) and expanded to occupy the entire park with the opening of the Van Kampen Island stage. In the mid 1990s, the popular lumberjack shows and four nights of fireworks were added. Nationally known entertainment that has performed at the festival ranges from Chubby Checker and Little Richard to Billy Ray Cyrus and Martina McBride." continuedHave fun all, and again may God continue to bless great country we call America!!!
