Border Agent Suffering In Prison

I supported Bush through both elections whole heartedly, right through the Iraq war and right into the beginning of this illegal immigration abomination. When border agents Ramos and Compean were convicted for doing their jobs defending our borders when Bush and our government hasn't, I then began perhaps quite belatedly to turn a bit on the president.

Then with his staunch support for the shamnesty bill like we've never seen him support anything else I resigned my membership to the Republican party for independent status in protest. And I, like Dana Rohrbach, who has been championing the cause of these agents all along, believe that Bush should be impeached over this if anything more befalls either of these men as they are appealing their case while imprisoned.

Well, that time has sadly come and I say throw Bush to the wolves and under the bus as far as I'm concerned as now one agent is indeed suffering terribly right now for protecting us and our borders.

Ignacio Ramos has been in solitary due to a near deadly beating he took from prisoners, and word now comes he is quite sick as a result of this protective yet severely punitive treatment, and if Bush doesn't immediately pardon these men and right this atrocious wrong he deserves impeachment for this brutal dereliction of his duties as president .
Ignacio Ramos reported in 'emaciated' condition:

WorldNetDaily: "A congressional aide who visited Ignacio Ramos in prison said the convicted Border Patrol agent appeared emaciated, losing more than 30 pounds in solitary confinement.

Ramos, who is appealing his 11-year sentence for the non-lethal shooting of a Mexican drug smuggler, has been in a 'special housing unit' since he was beaten by inmates in February at the medium-security Federal Correctional Complex in Yazoo City, Miss., said Tara Setmayer, spokeswoman for Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif."

"He was very happy to see me, but, overall, he was very emotional," Setmayer told WND. "He is demoralized. Languishing in solitary for 135 days takes its toll on anyone."

The men who bloodied Ramos with kicks from steel-toed boots are in the same unit, Setmayer said. read more
