AP- A newspaper reports that two New Jersey men who allegedly intended to kill American troops in Somalia have been arrested at a New York City airport before boarding flights on their way to join a jihadist group in that country.

The Star-Ledger of Newark reports that 20-year-old Mohamed Hamoud Alessa and 26-year-old Carlos Eduardo Almonte were arrested Saturday at John F. Kennedy International Airport before they could board separate flights to Egypt and then continue on to Somalia. more

At least they seem to have caught some traitors on their way overseas to to train to come back and kill American soldiers before they were able to infiltrate the military and do so. An act which gives us yet another reason why Muslim participation in the armed forces should be capped until the war against terrorism is over.

That's why, because they know they're scrutinized more than others and should be EVEN more because of this, as the 'tightening of the noose' per se forces them to look to women and non Muslim suicide killers like these wannabe jihadder's who are few and far between outside the Muslim community.

EVEN MORE CLUB GITMO Detainees Are Returning to Terror Upon Release

FOXNews.com - Prior to his release in December, Abdul Hafiz was Prisoner Number 1030 at Guantanamo Bay. Now, less than four months later, he's back home in Afghanistan and working for the Taliban -- just the latest of more than 100 released detainees who have returned to terrorism, according to the Pentagon.

Hafiz, suspected in the March 2003 kidnapping and murder of an International Red Cross worker, was the 'Taliban head of all Madrassas ... responsible for recruiting and sending young men to fight for the Taliban,' according to U.S. government memos. He was said to have maintained contacts for Mullah Mohammad Omar, the leader of the Taliban of Afghanistan, and to have admitted to participating in jihad against the Soviets.

But despite the list of charges against him, the U.S. government transferred Hafiz to his home country in December. And now, a senior U.S. official tells Fox News, he is back on the battlefield. According to a published report, Hafiz has been appointed by Mullah Omar to oversee ransom demands for kidnapping victims and to coordinate with nongovernment-aid organizations operating in the Taliban's areas of influence.

That makes Hafiz just the latest addition to an increasingly long list of former Guantanamo detainees suspected to have returned to terror. The Pentagon, in an estimate issued in January, now believes that roughly 20 percent of the 560 detainees who were released from Guantanamo are back on the terror front lines.  continued after the line below at the fox site//

washingtonpost.com: "CHICAGO -- An American who admitted slipping quietly into the Indian city of Mumbai on scouting missions that led to the November 2008 attack that killed 166 people has already started spilling terrorists' secrets to U.S. authorities, according to his attorney and federal prosecutors.

David Coleman Headley pleaded guilty Thursday in U.S. District Court in Chicago to laying the groundwork for the massacre in Mumbai and performing similar surveillance in anticipation of an attack on a Danish newspaper whose cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad were offensive to Muslims.

Federal officials say the 49-year-old Headley, who was arrested in Chicago in October, has become a valuable asset to the war on terrorism, furnishing information about terrorist networks in exchange for a promise that he won't be executed.

'Not only has the criminal justice system achieved a guilty plea in this case, but David Headley is now providing us valuable intelligence about terrorist activities,' Attorney General Eric Holder said in a statement." continued

AFP: "JAKARTA — Indonesian authorities said Monday they are considering a petition to tear down a statue of US President Barack Obama as a boy, only a month after the bronze was unveiled in Jakarta.

The statue of 'Little Barry' -- as Obama was known when he lived in the capital in the late 1960s -- stands in central Jakarta's Menteng Park, a short walk from the US president's former elementary school.

Critics say the site should have been used to honour an Indonesian and 55,000 people have joined a page on social networking website Facebook calling for the statue to be removed.

'We've been discussing for the past two weeks what to do with the statue... whether to take it down, move it elsewhere or retain it. We're finding the best solution,' Jakarta parks agency official Dwi Bintarto said.
