Ohio Lawmakers Object Against Replace Ulysses S. Grant on $50 Bill With Reagan

I wrote about this a couple months ago and it looks like it's back on the front burner, at least it is for some Ohioan's who don't want "their man" Grant removed from the 50 spot in favor of the great communicator. Our last great 2 time president who many think was our best modern day if not all time presidents. He's definitely in the top 5 on anyone's list and in the top 3 if it's to be taken seriously in my opinion.  But..

Thing is, by the time they make up their minds on this deal, Americans may not have to worry about who's face is on the bill, since many of them will never see one ever again in their wallets, at least in the near future  with Obama as president. In all seriousness, not that that wasn't serious, I agree with the ones who say "put Ronnie on something else to honor him" which includes some Republican Ohioans as well. 

Grant was a great president too in his way, and take this away from him and who remembers the man? I feel that way about the elder statesman and founders prior circa 1900, they deserve more accolade than they get, not less. Everyone after that almost has just helped dig our grave we're all sitting in right now.

ABC News: "If Rep. Patrick McHenry, R-N.C., has his way, the nation's 40th president, Ronald Reagan may soon be gracing the $50 bill, but some Ohioans -- even Republicans -- are not having any of it.

A North Carolina congressman is pushing to get Ronald Reagan on the $50 bill.

GOP state Rep. Danny Bubp has requested the state legislator to draft a resolution opposing the legislation by McHenry, which aims to replace President Ulysses S. Grant with Reagan on the $50 bill. continued
