STIMULUS WATCH: Weatherizing program slow to start | (in other words, 'IT SUCKED")

 What a surprise, a dem program to create jobs? When's the last time that was ever successful? During the depression or Clinton's "dot com bubble" that nearly wiped out the country and it's subsequent recession?  Then the "housing bubble" it's like everything they think of and then implement turns into a bubble that bursts and leaves slime all over the people it bursts over. My Way News  "FRESNO, Calif. (AP) - After a year of crippling delays, President Barack Obama's $5 billion program to install weather-tight windows and doors has retrofitted a fraction of homes and created far fewer construction jobs than expected.

In Indiana, state-trained workers flubbed insulation jobs. In Alaska, Wyoming and the District of Columbia, the program has yet to produce a single job or retrofit one home. And in California, a state with nearly 37 million residents, the program at last count had created 84 jobs.

The program was a hallmark of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, a way to shore up the economy while encouraging people to conserve energy at home. But government rules about how to run what was deemed to be a 'shovel-ready' project, including how much to pay contractors and how to protect historic homes during renovations, have thwarted chances at early success, according to an Associated Press review of the program.

'It seems like every day there is a new wrench in the works that keeps us from moving ahead,' said program manager Joanne Chappell-Theunissen. She has spent the past several months mailing in photographs of old houses in rural Michigan to meet federal historic preservation rules. 'We keep playing catch-up.'

The stimulus package gave a jolt to the decades-old federal Weatherization Assistance Program. Weatherization money flows from Washington to the states, where it is passed to local nonprofits that hire contractors to spread insulation and install efficient heaters in people's homes.

Energy officials said the stimulus infusion is on track to create thousands of career-pathway jobs and support an industry that lowers carbon emissions while saving consumers money.

'This is the beginning of the next industrial revolution with the explosion of clean energy investments,' said assistant U.S. Energy Secretary Cathy Zoi. 'These are good jobs that are here to stay.'

But after a year, the stimulus program has retrofitted 30,250 homes - about 5 percent of the overall goal - and fallen well short of the 87,000 jobs that the department planned, according to the latest available figures."

The suckers never learn there's no magic cure and especially when it comes to jobs and a country that's being led over a cliff by someone who's never had one nor never provided one for anyone with his own money.

They used to call them "Snake Oil Salesman" and now we call them democratic liberals. Pipe dreams turned into nightmares daily.

Obama's misdirected and nothing but wasteful "weatherizing" initiative has also turned into a "warned of" gargantuan waste of money, and by all admissions is nothing more than an abject failure like everything else liberals have thrown "trillions of dollars at" with no results to "create jobs".

The Beatles famously sang "money can't buy me love" and now we can start singing again and again to these people that "money can't buy you jobs". Not even 3 trillion wasted dollars, especially when much of that ends up in the pockets of "F O O" which is my acronym for Friends of Obama.

Small business creates jobs, and democrats kill small businesses before they even open the doors.

Here's a great example. Where I live resides right on the county lines between Crook County (run by all dems) and Lake county which isn't under the dem stranglehold of the crooked Daley regime, and literally on one side of the street gas is 75 cents cheaper a gallon right over the county line and cigarettes on the liberal side? 8, 9 ten dollars a pack. The other side where sanity resides? $3.50

Where are you gonna buy that crap? Lesson learned? Taxes kill prosperity and jobs. Liberals are tax machines and they kill everything they touch when it comes to business, and when this man gets done another democrat and a black one especially sadly because of Obama won't be president for 3 terms.
