I'm not mocking the death of the man with the headline, as I actually liked the guy, and while I loathe commercials on television, his were at least entertaining. So when his first autopsy came back "coke contributing death" his wife went shopping for a better result and found one apparently in this autopsy, that says cocaine wasn't a contributing factor..
So if that's true, it sure doesn't say much for the first schlep that sullied his name in death with the coke determination...I smell a lawsuit if indeed his or her (autopsy 1) determination was faulty for one reason or another.....
Wife: Billy Mays not a regular coke user: "The widow of TV pitchman Billy Mays said today that a new investigation backs up her claim that cocaine did not contribute to her husband's death.
Deborah Mays released a statement, obtained by the celebrity Web site TMZ.com, claiming the family commissioned a second autopsy by an independent medical examiner, Dr. William Manion, who concluded that 'chronic cocaine use was not demonstrated by the autopsy findings.'
An autopsy conducted after Mays died in June listed cocaine as a 'contributing cause' of his death.
'I do not believe cocaine played a significant contributing factor in the death of Mr. Mays as the autopsy specimens and findings are not consistent with the cardiac conditions normally observed in a person chronically using cocaine,' Manion said."
