Come as any surprise 2 kids running wild apparently launching weather balloons while obviously not being watched are being raised by two "Parents" who would participate in some damn wife swapping show for the liberal nation's entertainment and keep dangerous weather balloons tethered in their back yards with a six year old running wild and unattended..?
Not to me it doesn't.It's a Hoax.
And then they find this so called missing kid hiding in the damn garage attic, didn't they look in the house first before stunning the nation with a big NON STORY all afternoon? Didn't occur to then to search the house first perhaps seeing that the information they were given was from a kid, his also younger brother?
This won't be the last time we hear something stupid and goofy from these kids over the next decades...bet on it..they were worried about the kids and the effects the show might have on them, this answer any questions?
Here's the family after the incident seemingly enjoying all the media attention

Balloon family was featured on 'Wife Swap' - CNN.com: "CNN) -- The family at the center of a dramatic flight of a hot air balloon that floated free appeared on a reality show that highlighted concerns about the children's safety."
Richard and Mayumi Heene and their three sons were featured on the ABC show "Wife Swap," in which the mothers of two often opposite families switch places for two weeks.
Mayumi Heene traded places with Karen Martel, whose husband runs a child-proofing business intended to keep children safe, according to a recap posted on Reality TV Magazine.
In listing information on the Heene family, ABC's "Wife Swap" Web site described them as "When the Heene family aren't chasing storms, they devote their time to scientific experiments that include looking for extraterrestrials and building a research-gathering flying saucer to send into the eye of the storm." continued
