Welcome To The Welfare State....Thousands mob Detroit center in hopes of free cash

This scene happened yesterday in the former Motor City and do take notice to the first line of this pathetic story down below my ranting as usual, where the Associated Press refers to this cash flow being thrown around  as"free money"....

Looks like Peggy Joseph, better known as Peggy the Moocher, wasn't so far off back in election time now was she?

You remember her no?

I'm all for helping people who are down and out but is this the best way to go about it...

It kinda reminds me of when the Bush Administration handed out those jackpot Katrina Superdome credit cards, and people spent the money on whores, dope, Plasma tubes and just about anything and everything they weren't supposed to buy with the money...remember those things??

This Photoshop I threw together then was a hit on Free Republic and elsewhere at the time, trust me...lol

These little "hand out instead of hand up" stimulus checks are nothing more than band aids on an erupted jugular, I mean were does it all end? .....

Doesn't this country learn from it's mistakes anymore? It sure seems like we're making some of the same mistakes that have been made by republicans and democrats, meanwhile Obama runs for the end zone with as many social programs the Chinese will finance before the party's officially over about a year from now when the democrats lose control of the senate..
My Way News - DETROIT (AP) - Scuffles erupted as several thousand Detroit residents jockeyed, pushed and shoved Wednesday to get free money being offered to only 3,500 of the city's recently or soon to be homeless.

Several received medical treatment for fainting or exhaustion while frantically trying to obtain the applications for federal housing assistance. The long lines and short tempers highlighted the frustration and desperation that Detroit residents feel struggling through an economic nightmare.

The line around Cobo Center, a downtown convention center, started forming well before daybreak. Anger flared within a few hours as more people sought out a dwindling number of applications for the program. Members of the Detroit Police Department's Gang Squad and other tactical units were called in for crowd control.

Several people reportedly passed out from exhaustion and had to be treated by emergency medical personnel. Some minor injuries were reported, and no arrests were made.  continued
