This just so happens to be the seat Barack Hussein Obama barely sat down in long enough to crease his Brooks Brother's suits using it as his springboard to the senate seat that Blago was caught trying to horsetrade for like any other Illinois politician woulda done if found in that position.
The state is now ripe to be flipped back to red state territory as more and more democratic slime is revealed to the public while the obama administration falters and the trials of said Illinois governor and his cohorts proceed, uncovering peripheral corruption never seen in this country's body politic ever. And that's saying a lot in this town of scum mind you, even by Windy City standards
Chicago Breaking News: "Kirk and McCain appeared together at a veterans' event.
'The people of Illinois deserve a senator who will restore honest government, strengthen our national security, fight for veterans and bring fiscal discipline to Washington,' McCain, an Arizona senator, said in a statement. 'Mark Kirk has my strongest endorsement.'
Kirk, a five-term North Shore congressman, was an early supporter of McCain's unsuccessful 2008 bid for the White House against Illinois' favorite-son Democratic candidate Barack Obama. Both McCain and Kirk are Navy veterans. During Kirk's initial bid for Congress in 2000, McCain twice came to Chicago to help Kirk, who ultimately won a close contest.
Kirk is among more than a half-dozen people who have announced their candidacy for the Feb. 2 GOP primary nomination for the Senate seat being given up by appointed Democratic Sen. Roland Burris."
