Man held in soldier's killing in Harvey / Illinois Shame

As many like me can now plainly see, this state of Illinois, (now under the complete care and mismanagement of nothing but liberal democrats from border to border by the way) has turned into such a murderous hellhole, that over the weekend an active duty American soldier just home on leave was killed in cold blood while walking down an Illinois street 8 blocks from his own frickin' house with a friend, also a soldier.

To make the story even more sad, he, an aspiring college graduate, just joined the military in January in order to pay for his college education at Tennessee State University, and was headed to Ft. Bragg in North Carolina in just a few weeks to start his deployment.......I mean, what the hell is that sh**!?

All by the way while causing nary a solitary soul a single problem in a city here called Harvey north of my hood which is north of Chicago as well, a place which they could frickin' bulldoze and level from border to border as long as I'm concerned this morning after reading this.

(Although I do extend my apologies to the normal law abiding Americans living there in Harvey that I just lumped together with the worst, sorry.....and your reaction to this tragedy will be one of disgust as well I'm sure.)

Especially after hearing far too many tales like this coming from Illinois cities like Harvey and particularly Chicago itself, the child murder capital of the country and possibly the world by some measures. A state that just had one it's very own homebread crooks miraculously named president of the United States as we all know to well.

Quite a legacy Obama and his liberal friends built here since Republican crook George Ryan set the table for this crap, no?

This is an absolute outrage, at least we can all pray the police have the right bums in custody this morning, again two or three who are now charged with the cold blooded killing of one of America's very best, an Army soldier named Simeon Sanders, recently pictured below.

All I can say to he and his family as an fellow Illinois citizen is "Rest in Peace young man, and we thank you for 4 months of service to a country that frighteningly may not even deserve it anymore"

And please, I don't care to hear this "it's the guns that are the problem".... as this case demonstrates that (A) it's the people, not the weapons and (B) to me the very reason why there should be more guns and less gun laws, in order to disarm these criminals out there with nothing more than the thought that the very next person they think about assaulting could damn well be their last.

Read this man's story and tell me evil doesn't walk amongst us, as he kicked some ass while he was here, and he was just getting warmed up in life before this reckless tragedy.
chicagotribune.com:"A man in his 20s is in custody, and Harvey police continue to search for a second suspect in the fatal shooting of a soldier home on furlough, a city spokeswoman said Sunday.

Family members said Simeon Sanders, 21, escaped the violence of his old neighborhood by going to college and then joining the Army but was shot Thursday in the back after buying fries from a taco stand in his hometown.

'Here's somebody who made it out ... and then he comes home and he ended up getting shot for nothing,' said Sanders' sister Meochia Thompson, 34, as her brother's crisp green uniform sat nearby.

Sanders and his 32-year-old cousin were walking near 154th Street and Center Avenue on their way to Sanders' family's home about 8 p.m. when they came upon a man arguing with someone, said Sanders' sister Shantelle Coleman."The two were crossing the street near the Harvey Community Center to avoid the confrontation when shots rang out, she said. Sanders was shot in the back, and a bullet pierced his heart, Coleman said.

He was pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. His death was ruled a homicide. Sanders' cousin was not injured, said Coleman, 41, also with the Army.

The Harvey spokeswoman, Sandra Alvarado, said one suspect was picked up early in the weekend, but she did not provide any further details.

The Thornton Township High School graduate was on a one-month leave from the Army.

He joined the military in January to help pay for Tennessee State University and was headed to Ft. Bragg in North Carolina in a few weeks.

That's where Sanders hoped to learn how to jump out of planes and eventually serve in Korea, Coleman said.

Family members say Sanders had a constant smile to greet his large family.

As a 6-year-old, he shaved his eyebrows because he wanted to shave and that was the only hair he could find, they said. He said, "I love you," before ending every conversation. His parents were visiting family in Mississippi when their son was shot and killed.

"For someone who wasn't about violence, there's a message behind this: Wake up, people," Coleman said.
