That legendary Rock and Blues threesome, starting with Winwood and Clapton, who go way back to the young rock and rolling Yardbirds, Cream and Traffic days, met up with living legend of the Chicago Blues scene Buddy Guy last night for a somewhat impromptu jam session.
Guy, an original Blues "King" just like BB, are now standing nearly alone as old timer's as another hometown blues legend and good friend of theirs, Koko Taylor, just passed away and was laid to rest last week, as most of you I'm sure are aware.
So the three music icons together have logged a lot of stage time over their years, of touring theworld over, and they reprised a familiar routine, this time at the Chicago United Center, and I caught this review of this no doubt great show this morning in the Chicago Tribune.

No introduction, a couple of waves, a brief smile, and then they got down to business. When the concert ended more than two hours later after a satisfyingly intense exploration of most facets of their careers, together and apart, they ceded the stage to a man who inspired them both: Buddy Guy.
