There have been all kinds of events over the past week as the Chicagoland area celebrates Marine week as we collectively honor those soldiers who, when not stationed around the world kicking the snot out of evil and cave dwelling radical Muslim terrorists, can be found here back based throughout the country home helping out wherever and whenever they are needed.
Among the many activities that you can see in their entirety for the remainder of the week through the weekend will be as America's 911 force in readiness known as the Marines invade the world renowned horse racing venue Arlington Park in the suburb of Arlington Heights which is situated about 17 miles northwest of the city a few miles south of my home in Buffalo Grove.|
Soldier Field played host to the Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon Wednesday as they performed to an audience of Chicagoans
Here's a little sample of what you'll see should any of you decide to head out there between the hours of 12:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M today through Sunday , an event which will also feature aircraft, robotics, technology and vehicle displays in the track's parking lot.
