36000 people die every year from the "regular" flu, so I am not jumping on the SWINE FLU alarmist bandwagon, simply pointing out yet another reason why our immigration and border situation has hit the saturation point financially and medicinally, even in cities like Chicago far from the southern borders yet a main destination for illegals due to the ridiculous sanctuary city designation this town claims.
Here's a map of the states that have reported this so called swine flu that obviously originated in Mexico and has practically shut down their country down there, (especially Mexico city which has been turned into a ghost town producing the most deaths thus far) as Illinois will be added to this map later today when the Chicago school is finally added to the CDC list with other suspected cases coming down the pipeline of testing...
Daily Herald | State sees first cases of probable swine flu: "Chicago school officials shut down an elementary school Wednesday after one child contracted a probable case of swine flu, and the Illinois Health Department said other cases are suspected in the state.
The likely cases are Illinois' first in a swine-flu outbreak that has killed more than 150 in Mexico and spread across the U.S. and other parts of the world. The first U.S. swine flu death in the current outbreak was confirmed Wednesday, a 23-month-old child in Texas.
In Chicago, attendance dropped at the Joyce Kilmer Elementary School before the student was found to have a probable case of swine flu, school officials said.
Chicago Department of Health Director Terry Mason said the child is recovering at home.
'Parents should not be alarmed but they should be prepared,' he said. 'If children are sick, keep them home.'"
An excerpt from that article here..
The first reported death in the United States from the swine flu outbreak was that of a 23-month-old Mexican toddler who fell ill in Brownsville and was transported for treatment in Houston, where the child died Monday, city officials said.
Dr. David Persse, director of the city's emergency medical services, said the child was taken to a Brownsville hospital on April 13 and quickly got sicker, prompting transport to a Houston hospital. He said that hospital has asked not to be identified immediately, but that it would separately make a statement later today.
