Tonight Obama Lowers The Presidency Down Another Notch

And he'll do that by appearing on the Jay Leno Show just like any other lying a cheating Hollywood whore trying to con the people into still buying their wares, after being caught in bed with their best friend's 12 year old daughter or after their latest drug bust or perhaps a piddly DUI...(sarcasm off now)

That's right, lowering the presidency another notch as the first notch was when he started appearing in the Oval Office, (which means at work by the way) looking more like an operator at a Comcast call center or better yet a community organizer drumming up votes for the local alderman than a president, which we are now seeing might actually be a place better suited for the president with no class nor experience than the yop job in our white house.

He also took it down a notch with his uncivil ghetto treatment of the prime minister of Britain Gordon Brown and his equally uncivil and embarrassing treatment of the entire county of Great Britain by returning a bust of their glorious leader Winston Churchill given to the US after 911 for reasons still unknown but likely to be as childish as "it was given to Bush so it's evil and dirty".

Now he's looking to divert attention off his buffoonish first 50 days and again hopes to regain some of that "Messiah love and adulation" that he's obviously addicted to, especially now that the false Messiah is playing in the big show yet got there with minor league stats and realizes he can't play ball with the big boys. So he's now gonna try to go back to what he does best...

And what is that you ask? That would be acting like a president instead of actually being one, which of coarse "Faux Bama" is failing miserably at, and maybe he was meant to play a president in a sitcom rather than be on in real life.

If we have to withstand any more scandal and failure than we already have he might just have to change his name to Doh! Bama instead of Obama after he resigns due to stress issues.

President Obama uses Jay Leno show to wriggle out of economic crisis

- Times Online: "He's in the midst of the worst economic crisis in 80 years, his Treasury Secretary is facing calls to resign and questions are being asked of his Administration, yet President Obama today prepares to fight back by treading a path usually reserved for Hollywood actors.

In an unprecedented step for a sitting president, Mr Obama will appear on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, on which he will attempt to explain to an increasingly angry public how $165million in bonuses were paid to employees of the failed insurance company AIG after it was bailed out with public money.

National anger over the case stems from the fact that the bonuses, awarded to 418 employees and including $1 million each to 73 people, were paid after the company had to be rescued by $170 billion of state cash. The bailout represented the biggest injection of public money into a single company since the financial crisis began last year, and another $30bn will be paid soon.

The controversy has already taken its toll on Timothy Geithner, Mr Obama's new Treasury Secretary, whose position has become increasingly fragile. He has faced repeated Republican criticism - and at least one call to resign - for not stopping the bonus payments, along with questions over when he became aware of"Today, Mr Obama's office stressed that he was not appearing on Leno's NBC show to joke his way out of the crisis - but that he would be attempting to explain to the public his economic plan.

"We don't look at it as a process of demonstrating the president's sense of humour," said Robert Gibbs, his spokesman, adding that he intended to use the appearance to "explain the economic situation".

The President is trying to sell to the American public his $3.6 trillion budget, which includes another $750 billion to pump into the financial sector. Tonight, in a Democratic move to claw back bonuses from AIG, the House of Representatives was due to vote on a narrowly-drafted Bill to impose a 90 per cent tax on bonuses of executives whose companies have been bailed out by the government.

The appearance on Leno's show is the focal point of a whirlwind trip to California which began with a stop-over yesterday in Orange County - a crisis-hit area which lost 33,000 jobs between December and January alone.

During his brief visit, the President made clear that, when it came to the AIG bonuses, the buck stopped with him. "I know Washington's all in a tizzy and everybody's pointing fingers at each other and saying it's all their fault, the Democrats' fault, the Republicans' fault," he said.

"Listen, I'll take responsibility. I'm the President. We didn't draft these contracts. We've got a lot on our plate - but it is appropriate when you're in charge to make sure that stuff doesn't happen like this, so we're going to do everything we can to fix it."

California is normally fertile ground for a Democratic president - and voted overwhelmingly for Mr Obama in November - but is suffering badly from the crisis, and pressure is building on the White House for urgent relief. As well as his television appearance, the President has two town hall meetings planned for Los Angeles during the day.

Then, next Tuesday, he will hold a prime time televised press conference that will be dominated by his plans to simultaneously punish Wall Street and save the US finance industry.

A key to his government's credibility is preventing Mr Geithner from being forced out of his role only weeks after he was appointed. Treasury officials claim that they did not know until March 5 that so much of AIG's money was going to the company's financial products subsidiary. The White House says that Mr Geithner learnt of the payments only on March 10 - three days before they were made - and that Mr Obama was himself only told about them on the day it was issued.

Speaking to the Washington Post today, Mr Geithner maintained that he had not been aware of the size of the bonuses and the timing of the payments. “I was stunned when I learned how bad this was on Tuesday (March 10)," he said. “I shouldn’t have been in that position, but it’s my responsibility and I accept that."

He added that he had then briefed a senior White House aide, who informed President Obama on March 12.

  1. Well put I saw that video and Rush Limbaugh did a rather extended piece on it Friday as well. The media has the crap on their faces for picking this frickin loser and the country is near revolution so I would say Limbaugh has pretty much nailed it, Obama has failed already and his own party will run him out of office if we don't do it first.
