Particularly since most of us recall that Obama opposed the mission entirely right down to opposing the surge that's made this drawdown possible and made the war a worthwhile notch in America's victory column that so many of Obama's supporters and cohorts worked against at every opportunity.
A shameful period in homeland behavior while at war against evil in the middle east that contributed to the terror we experienced on 911. God bless President Bush and our fine troops for bring victory to the military in this mission accomplished
Yet his condescending "all knowing and all seeing Obama" attitude sickens me this all could have been done in DC with the tens of thousands of troops stationed in that area at literally no cost at all.
Obama seems to have this penchant to want to cruise the country for simple announcements and bill signings which in this environment should be generating much more criticism than it is and I for one getting sick of this along with everything else this boy doing a man's job is getting away with.
He pulled this a week ago to sign Porkulus which cost the country $465,000 in Air Force One costs at 65,000 an hour
I am even considering mapping every one of his trips on Air Force "The One" to keep track how much money Obama is pissing away on unnecessary jet travel just as all the other libs get away with while demanding we citizens cut back on everything so they can live up this comfort eagle lifestyle on our precious dimes.
So lets map out Obama's little trip from DC to Camp Lejune North Carolina\

Military families await Obama's speech at Camp Lejeune
- Charlotte- msnbc.com: "updated 6:45 a.m. CT, Fri., Feb. 27, 2009
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- President Barack Obama will deliver an address at Camp Lejeune on Friday in his first visit to the state since he was elected in November.
Obama's visit comes following word from administration officials that he is expected to order all U.S. combat troops to leave Iraq by August of next year."One local mother will be paying close attention to the president's speech.
Kathy Matthews, of Waxhaw, says her twin sons, Dustin and Justin, just finished a 15-month combat tour in Iraq.
She says they both saw things they have a hard time talking about, but both take a lot of pride in their accomplishments.
Matthews says she wants to hear Obama say he will get the troops out in the next 19 months, that he will listen to his commanders on the ground in Iraq and he will handle the withdrawal responsibly.
"I'm proud of what my boys have done but enough is enough. I mean, how much more can we do there in Iraq? How much more money can we sent to Iraq? There has to be an end game," Matthews said.
About 142,000 U.S. troops are in Iraq, roughly 14 brigades, about 11,000 more than the total in Iraq when President George W. Bush announced in January 2007 that he would "surge" the force to put down the insurgency. He sent an additional 21,000 combat troops to Baghdad and Anbar province.
Although the number of combat brigades has dropped from 20 to 14, the U.S. has increased the number of logistical and other support troops. A brigade is usually about 3,000 to 5,000 troops.

He is like a kid with his first car and he can't help but run the tires off. He must not know how much it costs to fly that aircraft. You could fund a war for the price of fuel he has wasted so far. I am waiting for him to have it blinged out.. diamond rims etc.
ReplyDeletePerfect Perfect Perfect analogy, I wish I wrote that Soldier! Haven't you seen the Protocol they've commissioned for Bro Bama? Here it is, check it out sir......
ReplyDeleteI have a friend stationed at Camp Lejeune. He told me that they had a difficult time finding soldiers to sit and listen to the PURPLE LIP WONDER. He dose have that, “I just blew Barney” look about him. You can pick, either the kiddie Barney or the Congress Barney. LOL
ReplyDeleteFrom what I was told many had no choice but to listen to the PLW.
No surprise.
And no disrespect or offense meant towards those soldiers but they packed the stage with minorities making sure the smiling females were right behind his head on either side heads bobbing along with everything he said.
ReplyDeleteI watched it out of respect for the military appreciation for what they've accomplished over there, and he threw them some good red meat if he keeps the promises on the new GI Bill and the pay raises.
But again Magic Money 'bama has all these dreams and nothing but deadbeats on the left to pay for them which means we pay Mark
