So for that bold stance he took and takes every day I have what I like to call "reverse white guilt", a phrase I use to describe my feelings of regret for African Americans who choose to leave the "I'm from the hood" mannerisms and behaviors so proudly projected by rappers and others back in the hood where it belongs. For that reason I feel obligated as a white man to support their efforts at all costs to show that it's not a regretful road to travel trying to become more mainstream and "white" as many would call it that unfairly damages their standing amongst the black community as a whole.
Usually by doing so they become quite successful in the so called "white business and entertainment world" but then subsequently considered and even called out openly by liberals and other blacks as Uncle Toms and sellouts by their contemporaries from the black communities, you know who I speak of, and those are the kinder things many are called.
For example there's Clarence Thomas of the Supreme Court, there's Bill Cosby who has been on both sides of this cultural fence, then you have author Thomas Sowell, media pundit Juan Williams, secretary of state Condoleeza Rice just to name a few who have to tolerate un called for and unnecessary bunk from their old hoods and haunts. This has to be a painful road I'm sure, one that almost all successful African Americans must navigate in order to elevate themselves from the stereotypes that that community supposedly hates and yet simultaneously perpetuates to most of their detriment.
For these exemplary positive attitudes and actions, their reward consists of what? Instead of being hailed as excellent role models which they absolutely are for young black men and women or any color and or creed to emulate, yet far too many choose the Snoop Dogg's, Tupac Shakur's, the Allen Iverson's, (famous athletes in jail) mostly the so called "true blue niggaz" (their often used word, not mine to describe themselves that whites are forbidden to use)" what some refer to as the even uglier and hated real "N" word. A despicable adjective often reserved for those exhibiting that anti social behavior reserved for those who reach the top of their chosen professions which are sadly limited to Music, Sports and and yet keep their ridiculous "street cred" and "standing as bruthas and sista's" for not conforming to the ways of the often hated White Man.
Well, for that reason again I follow and support the people of which I listed anyway possible, like by buying their books, attending their seminars and the likes as often as possible for them risking their lives and very existence by making themselves better people and helping their community change sl=lowly but surely as many see now they too could become the president if only they emulate a Barack Obama ( who I cant stand for his policies and his propensity for lying a little too often but yet have to respect how far he's risen in a short time) instead of an Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson who are great men in their own right ( maybe that's a little bit of whitey hyperbole, as I don't consider them great but more like leeches really)
So in that spirit here's a column from Larry who's been laying low since leaving his longtime marriage at KABC radio in LA for still unclear reasons at the new conservative news web offering called OneNewsNow.com that I am using now almost exclusively to avoid patronizing the MSM outlets who have sold out the country by becoming cheerleaders for Barack Obama while ostracizing and even excommunicating people like Elder, Sowell, Williams, or any successful black conservative practicing outward racism for which no one calls them on because the are no longer in the business of delivering intellectually and ideologically honest news instead opting for down the middle left wing propaganda organs, which is quickly driving many of them and with them the industry straight out of business,
Obama begins - and so does the resurrection of Bush
(OneNewsNow.com): This week, Barack Obama became the 44th president of the United States. So now the governing begins -- along with the resurrection of George W. Bush's reputation.
Candidate Obama promised to pull all the troops from Iraq within the first year to 16 months of his administration. President Obama intends to retain Bush's secretary of Defense, Robert Gates -- a man who supported Bush's courageous decision to "surge" and send 30,000 troops, an action that then-Sen. Obama opposed while predicting its failure. When, post-surge, violence in Iraq dramatically declined, candidate Obama refused -- for a long time -- to credit the surge, later pointing to the lack of Iraqi "political reconciliation." But the supposedly nonexistent political reconciliation produced a U.S.-Iraqi agreement -- supported by Gates -- for troops to remain until 2011.
Candidate Obama claimed George W. Bush "shredded" the Constitution. But as president-elect, Obama nominated former Deputy Attorney General Eric Holder to serve as attorney general. Holder, in a 2002 CNN interview, agreed with the Bush administration's position that the Geneva Conventions do not apply to terrorist detainees! "One of the things we clearly want to do with these prisoners," said Holder, "is to have an ability to interrogate them and find out what their future plans might be, where other cells are located....It seems to me that given the way in which they have conducted themselves, however, that they are not, in fact, people entitled to the protection of the Geneva Convention. They are not prisoners of war."
Holder also supported the Patriot Act, first passed in the Senate 98-1. The Senate renewed it in 2006 with support from then-Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Both versions included the much-condemned "library provisions," which allow federal agents -- after authorization from a "secret" court -- to obtain suspects' records from businesses, libraries, and bookstores during terrorism probes., continued
