Repeal Don't Ask-Don't Tell: President Obama agrees with former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff John Shalikashvili and other military experts that we need to repeal the "don't ask, don't tell" policy. The key test for military service should be patriotism, a sense of duty, and a willingness to serve. Discrimination should be prohibited. The U.S. government has spent millions of dollars replacing troops kicked out of the military because of their sexual orientation. Additionally, more than 300 language experts have been fired under this policy, including more than 50 who are fluent in Arabic. The President will work with military leaders to repeal the current policy and ensure it helps accomplish our national defense goals.
All this will do is lower moral within the troops and lower retention rates and new enlistees, that simple. I'm pretty certain any vet would agree with me and if one doesn't feel free to rebut as to why it's a good thing for the military to let people who attracted to men sleep, shower and bunk with other men who aren't.
This isn't summer camp where everyone gets a turn to take an at bat in the softball game, or gets to take a shot at water skiing, it's the military and if these people only wanted to join up to defend the count7ry then they can keept heir sexual preferences to themselves as the present law allows and save their sexual preferences and urges private. Fully Equip Our Troops for the Missions They Face: Barack Obama and Joe Biden believe we must get essential equipment to our soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines before lives are lost.
A direct slam and dig at the Bush administration to appease the slimy far left who could care less about the equipping of our soldiers unless they can use it as a wedge issue as they have done throughout the iraq war in some cses justified but not intentionally done by the administration.
One cannot predict how these things we fund and build actually work as intended unless they are deployed in the field which of coarse we know if the left has it's way our military will be building roads and schools here instead of killing terrorists around the world like they're doing now.

Create a Civilian Assistance Corps (CAC): Obama and Biden will create a national CAC of 25,000 personnel. This corps of civilian volunteers with special skill sets (doctors, lawyers, engineers, city planners, agriculture specialists, police, etc.) would be organized to provide each federal agency with a pool of volunteer experts willing to deploy in times of need at home and abroad.
A good idea except for the shakiness constitutionality of a civilian defense force, and who the hell will sign up for such a thing as a ?volunteer? Now In These Trying Times?
Hey that's great for kids but Barack, having never worked for a living has no understanding of the concept that many ofus working men and women cannot give away substantial chunks of our time when two or three paying jobs are needed for some individuals just to make ends meet in today's expensive world thanks to illegals sucking our resource supplies dry as a desert highway.
