OK, I'm just kidding, but In all seriousness, they might as well give it a shot as there's certainly no shortage of NFL players and former players that would fit the bill, led of course by acquitted murderer and somewhat guilty armed robber who wasn't armed during the robbery in question, OJ Simpson. A man who as we all know was finally paid back for his 1990's acquittal for the murders of Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman no matter what the lying Judy Judy seeking judge in Nevada and the similarly lying jury looking to sell books or whatever they can said to the contrary.
Every person around Simpson his whole life was adulating him for the money and his celebrity hanger on appeal, and that's still the case, as even the divorced Nicole and her entire family were still sucking off the Simpson bank accounts when she was alive and that's a fact.
The reason I bring this up is the sordid nature of the witnesses uses against OJ and the supposed victims in this case who were actually his friends were offered all kinds of deals and such to testify against him. In fact the lowlifes that were armed in this incident and 2 other accomplices were given probation while an unarmed Simpson is sent away for 10 to 30! Not even mentioning the walking and talkin scum, a creepy looking auctioneer named Tom Riccio that set the whole thing up to videotape that he cashed in at TMZ for $150 G's, where's the law in this self made sting operation I'm wondering this whole time?
Believe me I'm no fan of OJ but the justice system when it works, and in this case it really didn't as it's not supposed to about revenge for other past issues but in this case it certainly was/
Now comes word that the guy who really was the start of the whole thing, this Alan Beardsley character pictured above pointing to Simpson in court actually received OJ's hall of fame ring for changing his testimony in the just completed trial! The so called robbery "victim" number 1 Beardsley was paid by Simpson to lie at the trial according to a special investigator after full time victim and golddigger Fred Goldman, (who I think I can safely assume the world is now equally sick of as OJ Simpson seems to think his son is the only person in the entire world to ever be unfortunately murdered) drug Beardsley into civil court to grab the ring that OJ gave him for apparently lying in Simpson's favor.
The strange thing about this is he, Beardsley, actually wanted the charges to be dropped in the first place when he has a slight heart attack, so what he actually was he lying about is anyone's guess. Sounds like the plot to a bad movie but it's as real as it comes.
What a money grubbing loser
Get a frigging job and move on with your life would you? Everyone else from this scandal 12 years ago has done so and so should you. We never hear anything about the Browns looking for this check or that money from this or that, give us all a break now.
O. J. Simpson paid off witness, investigator tells court -
Los Angeles Times: "A key witness in O.J. Simpson's Las Vegas trial acknowledged to a Nevada investigator that the former NFL star paid him off, the investigator told a judge in Santa Monica this morning.
The investigator from the Clark County district attorney's office said Alfred Beardsley admitted that Simpson gave him his Hall of Fame ring in exchange for altering his testimony to help the defense.
'I asked what did you get to change your testimony,' said Bill Falkner, who worked with prosecutors building the armed robbery and kidnapping case against Simpson.
The answer, he said, was the Hall of Fame ring.
The allegation came at a civil court hearing in which attorneys for Fred Goldman asked a judge to order Beardsley to turn over the ring to help satisfy a $33.5-million wrongful-death judgment against Simpson.
A jury acquitted Simpson of the 1994 murders of Goldman's son, Ron, and Simpson's ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson. A civil jury later found him liable for the deaths.
Beardsley attended the hearing, but when summoned to the witness stand, invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination and refused to testify. His attorney said he instructed him not to answer questions because of rumors he heard about a grand jury investigation targeting Beardsley in Las Vegas.
