Many of our soldiers are those that have paid the ultimate price for this country, protecting it both at home and abroad from the many threats we face from our enemies wishing us and them harm, and some are not.

These brave men and women sacrifice so much in their lives so that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday. For that, I am proud to call them Hero.Gen. Benjamin S. GriffinGeneral Benjamin S. Griffin, commanding general, U.S. Army Materiel Command, talks with Brig. Gen. Shallal Abdul Rasool Habeeb General Benjamin S. Griffin took over as commanding general of U.S. Army Materiel Command on November 5, 2004. Prior to AMC, he served as the Department of the Army Deputy Chief of Staff, G-8.
Among his assignments, he has served as special assistant to the Chief of Staff of the Army in Washington, D.C., and commander of the 2nd Brigade, 6th Infantry Division (Light) in Alaska. In August 1994, he served as executive officer to the commanding general, U.S. Army Forces Command, Fort McPherson, Ga. He formerly served as the director of Force Programs in the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations and Plans and later as commander of the 4th Infantry Division in Fort Hood, Texas.
Early in his career, he served two tours at Fort Bragg, N.C., in the 82nd Airborne Division. He also worked as a G3 operations officer in the headquarters, 82nd Airborne Division . continued here
