The Bigger They Are, The Harder They Fall

Isn't that the truth? Eliot Spitzer became as big as they can become, and just fell as hard and fast as anyone can fall down, and the bloodletting won't stop with his terse and brief resignation this morning. His problems are just beginning.

It's always sad to see anyone throw their life away over such frivolous self serving behavior as he appears to have engaged in, and why both men of power and even men of none are willing to risk it all when they appear to have everything anyone could wish for for such an animalistic human need is beyond explanation, but they do and will continue to do it until the end of time.

They also say what comes around goes around, and for this man who made many enemies on his climb to the top, he's going to really find out what it's like to be all alone now as evidenced by how radioactive he was left to swing over the past few days after these revelations of impropriety became public. One can only feel terribly for his wife and daughters for the humiliation he brought upon them after thinking only of himself and his needs.

Slick Willie reborn.

NY Gov. Eliot Spitzer Resigns:

My Way News - "NEW YORK (AP) - Gov. Eliot Spitzer, mired in allegations he was a client of a high-priced prostitution ring, resigned from office Wednesday, saying 'I cannot allow my private failings to disrupt the people's work.'

Spitzer will be replaced by Lt. Gov. David Paterson, who becomes New York's first black governor, effective Monday. Spitzer's minute-long statement made no mention of whether he had reached a deal with federal prosecutors to avoid charges.

'I go forward with the belief as others have said that as human beings our greatest glory consists not in never falling but in rising every time we fall,' Spitzer said at a Manhattan news conference with his wife, Silda, at his side."
