A Dem state rep gets away with calling an elderly black woman "Buckwheat" in a phone conversation and the woman who uttered the expression gets off the hook because the son of the elderly woman can't get the MSM to pay attention to the story. He is however the president of the NAACP so I imagine someone will start listening eventually.
Why is nobody listening you ask?
Just ask Duane "Dogg"Chapman, or Michael Richards or Don Imus and a long list of others that uttered the no no word for whitey......
Why is nobody listening you ask?
Because the offender, State Rep. Carla Dartez, D-Morgan City is...yes, a Democrat. That's why. You could bet if this white woman was a republican and said that they would be stringing her up on the virtual lynching tree as we speak, Sharpton, Jackson and the rest of the race baiting death squad extortionists that love these moments in time.
Just ask Duane "Dogg"Chapman, or Michael Richards or Don Imus and a long list of others that uttered the no no word for whitey......
State lawmaker makes "Buckwheat" reference
HoumaToday.com | The Courier | Houma, LA: "HOUMA - State Rep. Carla Dartez, D-Morgan City, said she is mulling withdrawl from the Nov. 17 runoff race after NAACP president Jerome Boykin says she referred to his mother as 'Buckwheat.' The incident came out during Boykin's radio show on KBZE, FM 105.9. During a telephone conversation with The Daily Comet, Dartez denies any racist meaning or intent.
But Boykin said he sees the reference as a slur. Buckwheat is a reference to a black Little Rascals character."Dartez acknowledges that during the conversation she was thanking Boykin's mother for voluntarily driving voters to the polls on election day, Oct. 20.
Dartez is in a runoff for House District 51 with Joe Harrison, a Republican from Napoleonville. The two won the most votes in the Oct. 20 general election. House District 51 runs through Assumption and St. Mary parishes and picks up most of western Terrebonne.
At the end of the conversation, Dartez allegedly said, "Talk to you later, Buckwheat."
In response, Boykin said he will no longer endorse Dartez for the state Legislature.
"No way I'm going to sit back and not do anything," Boykin said.
For details, see Saturday's Daily Comet and The Courier.
Oh Tay Panky....
