A New Craze Sure To Reach America Soon

That is if it's not already being done as I type here. Undoubtedly this activity called "Tombstoning" that is being filmed by teens and others for viewing on YouTube like all the other Jackass type "crazes of the day" will soon become more and more popular as most dumb crazes do.

A fine example is this asinine and semi dangerous "fire in the hole" prank that our young idiots are pulling at fast food drive thru's (also picked up on YouTube) is being video taped by the perpetrators for their own as well as other idiot's amusement around the web.

Haven't heard of it yet? This is what it entails: click here

As for the "Tombstoning" I've mentioned, that's covered here in this article from Scotland yesterday....
Tombstoning' craze claims teenager's life:

Scotland on Sunday - Scotland - "NEW warnings about the dangers of 'tombstoning' were issued last night after the death of a teenager who leapt off a bridge near Loch Lomond. Sean McSkimming, 17, from Alexandria, drowned in the River Leven on Friday night after jumping from Balloch Bridge along with friends. The incident has highlighted concerns about the current tombstoning craze, which involves jumping off cliffs, piers, or bridges into rivers or the sea, often in groups. The habit has spread across the UK from the south-west of England."

Coastguards and police have now urged youngsters not to jump into open water from a height and to avoid going into the water altogether when they have been drinking.

Bill Spiers, the watch manager at Clyde Coastguard, said McSkimming's death was "a tragedy that could have been avoided.

"It's a tragic loss of a young life. We would caution anyone against jumping off bridges or jumping into lochs and rivers like this. You don't always know what's under the surface and the temperature difference can shock the body when it hits the water.

"We would not discourage people from enjoying the water, swimming and sailing, but they have to be careful. continued
